Understanding the Word of God

Understanding Your word brings light to the minds of ordinary people.-----Psalm 119:130

It is SO good to know that to be ABLE to UNDERSTAND the WORD of God does not take being a genius, but even every day, ORDINARY people, people like Me can have an UNDERSTANDING of God's Word.

A lot of people say they don't read or study the Bible because they don't UNDERSTAND it. Now, if you are one of those people, my question to you is: Are you ALLOWING the Holy Spirit of the Living God to HELP you UNDERSTAND what you are about to read or study?  That is ONE of His many jobs that He does in the Believer.  If you will PRAY and ASK Him to give you an UNDERSTANDING, He will.

I know that there are some who really DON'T want to have an UNDERSTANDING of the Word of God, because if they did have an UNDERSTANDING then they would be held accountable for that UNDERSTANDING, so they choose to remain ignorant to the teachings and guidance of God's Holy Word.  And they remain BABES needing ONLY the MILK of the Word and are unable to have the MEAT of the Word.

So if you are a believer, you can have an UNDERSTANDING of the Word of God by having the desire and asking for the Holy Spirit to give you the UNDERSTANDING you need.  He will.

If you are NOT a believer, you can become one and you too can have an UNDERSTANDING of God's Word by: CONFESSING your sins to God and asking for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE today making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He's waiting!!!
