God's Phone Number

Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it------the Lord is His name; "Call to Me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known."-------Jeremiah 33:2-3

I think that it is VERY interesting the way the Lord God introduces Himself to the Prophet Jeremiah.
Notice that He doesn't say, "hey Jeremiah, this is the Lord God and I want to talk to you."  But He CLARIFIES EXACTLY who He IS.  He IS the MAKER of the EARTH, the ONE who FORMED and ESTABLISHED it!!  Then comes the introduction of His name------the LORD.

I would venture to say that whatever Jeremiah was doing at this time came to a SCREECHING HALT, as he gave the LORD GOD his UNDIVIDED ATTENTION.

In Jeremiah 33:3, which is LOVINGLY known as, "God's telephone number," the Lord God speaks to Jeremiah, saying, "CALL TO ME AND I WILL ANSWER YOU AND TELL YOU GREAT AND HIDDEN THINGS THAT YOU HAVE NOT KNOWN."  The first thing that God says is "CALL TO ME," God invites Jeremiah to CALLTO HIM, and then He PROMISES to ANSWER him, not merely to have a little chit-chat time with him, but to tell him GREAT and HIDDEN things that Jeremiah had NO KNOWLEDGE of.

I BELIEVE with ALL my HEART that when we have some INTIMATE, ALONE TIME with the MAKER and ESTABLISHER of this EARTH, that He will reveal to us GREAT and HIDDEN things that we have had NO KNOWLEDGE of.  Things about Him, and His PLANS for US, things that will ENCOURAGE, ENLIGHTEN AND EMPOWER us in our service to Him.  So Children of the Most High God, CALL TO HIM and LISTEN as He ANSWERS.

If you have NEVER made that MOST IMPORTANT INITIAL CALL to Him for your SALVATION, you can do it NOW, by:  CONFESSING your sins to God and asking for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION. Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He's waiting!!!
