Reaching the Goal!

Reaching the Goal!

I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me.  So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize.  My friends, I don’t feel I have already arrived.  But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for what is ahead.  I run toward the goal, so I can win the prize of being called to heaven.  This is the prize God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done.--------Philippians 3:12-14

Many people run in marathons, they set their hearts and minds on the goal of finishing the race with fortitude and a burning desire in their heart to reach the goal that was set before them.

Some run the race with little or no strength and they are not equipped nor do they possess a burning desire to be able to run the race, much less finish the race and reach their goal.  It just isn’t in their heart, they don’t seem to have what it takes to be an “able-bodied” runner so they fall by the wayside, exhausted and spent, not able to reach the goal that was set before them.

However, there are those who have accepted the challenge and they train with ALL their being to not just run the race, but to run with a burning desire, to reach their goal. They put ALL they have into running with perseverance, strength, dignity and honor, and they reach the goal that was set before them.

This is the mark of a TRUE CHAMPION, and it is the way the Child of God should run their race on this earth, with all it obstacles and pitfalls.  We should ALLOW the Holy Spirit of the Living God, who indwells us, to TRAIN us for our race to give us the perseverance, strength, dignity and honor to run the race with a burning desire to reach our goal, and win the prize of being called to Heaven to spend ALL eternity with God, the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.

We run the race with fortitude and perseverance, because Christ has taken hold of us and given us the ability to run without falling by the wayside or giving up, before we reach the goal.  He is our STRENGTH and will train us to be a TRUE CHAMPION, when we ALLOW His Holy Spirit to work in us to prepare us for our race and to be able reach our goal and receive the prize that is set before us.

If you have NEVER given your HEART and LIFE to Jesus, then you will NEVER reach your goal, of being called to spend eternity in Heaven, but you will LOSE out to an eternity in Hell.  But you can change your course and run your race as a TRUE CHAMPION, and reach the prize of being called to Heaven, by: CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and REACH your GOAL.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting!!!
