The Worst Sinner of All!

 

 

“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.”  This saying is true, and it can be trusted.   I was the worst sinner of all!  But since I was worse than anyone else, God had mercy on me and let me be an example of the endless patience of Christ Jesus.  He did this so that others would put their faith in Christ and have eternal life.--------1Timothy 1:15-16

 

 

The Apostle Paul in his letter to Timothy, his ‘son in the ministry,’ makes this statement:  “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.”  This statement is TRUE and can be TRUSTED.  Christ’s mission was and STILL is to SEEK and to SAVE sinners, of which we all are.  But Paul considers himself to be the WORST sinner of all!

 

Before Paul’s conversion, he was a big threat to all believers in Christ Jesus.  The persecutor of the Church.  The believer cringed at the mere thought of Paul coming anywhere near their town.  From my speculations, he was somewhat of a ruthless individual with no mercy for the believer of Jesus Christ.  It was his pleasure to be able to go and round them up like cattle to the slaughter.  Which was exactly what it was:  ‘Believers to the slaughter.’  So I guess he was, if not the WORST sinner, one of the WORST sinners of his day.

 

But God had a different plan and had MERCY on Paul and brought him literally to his knees and into SALVATION.  The Apostle says that God used him as an example of the ENDLESS PATIENCE of Christ Jesus.  What an act of CONVERSION, the very one that the believers feared, actually became one of them. And what a testimony to a lost and dying world.  God CAN and WILL save the WORST sinner.  NO matter what they have done, they can come to Him and He will have MERCY on them and SAVE their souls.

 

I would imagine that there were some who came to Christ, through Paul’s act of CONVERSION.  We do know that MANY came to a SAVING KNOWLEDGE of Jesus Christ through his ministry and preaching of the Word of God.  God used Paul as an example that He is able to save the WORST of the WORST. 

 

If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to God and think that you have done things that are UNFORGIVEABLE.  You are SO WRONG!  He is MORE than ABLE to save your soul from spending an ETERNITY in Hell, where your soul will be in torment forever, with NO escape.  COME to Him NOW, by: CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and let God use YOU to be an example of Christ’s ENDLESS patience and love.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can. He’s waiting!!!
