“Live as Children of Light”

 

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.  Live as children of light.

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.  Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.        Ephesians 5:8, 15-17

 

We, who are TRUE believers in God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, are God’s Children and as God’s Children we are to be the LIGHT in the darkness of this corrupt, evil world.  A world that is destined for destruction and those who follow the ways of this world, walk in darkness, and are at risk of coming under God’s wrath because of their unbelief and disobedience.

 

The TRUE believers, who are Children of Light, were once children of darkness, but now we have come out of the darkness of this dark, evil, sin-laden world and into the glorious LIGHT of the Living Lord, who redeemed us and brought us from the darkness and into the LIGHT of His love.  So we now have the HOPE and PROMISE of Heaven, where there is NO darkness.   As Children of Light we need to be very careful how we live, NOT doing the UNWISE things, but being WISE, and doing those things that come from living WISELY. 

 

We need to make the most of EVERY opportunity, to bring others from the darkness and into the light, by letting our light shine, being the example that God wants us to be, because the days are evil and we don’t have a lot of time left to dispel the darkness with our light.   We need to seek and know the will of the Almighty God, in order to carry out His plan for the continuing work of the SALVATION of mankind, and to bring them out of the darkness and into the LIGHT.

 

If you are living in the darkness and doing evil deeds in the darkness, then you are doomed to spend ALL eternity in Hell, a place where there is no LIGHT, and full of torment, torture, hatred, misery, heartache and despair, everything that Heaven is NOT.  You have the opportunity NOW to change your destination and come out of the darkness and into the LIGHT, by:  Confessing your sins to God and asking Him for His forgiveness, believing, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is alive in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God then accept His gift of SALVATION and become one of His Children of Light and start living WISELY and in the LIGHT rather than in the darkness.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
