“God’s Perspective on Lying Lips”

 

Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool---how much worse lying lips to a ruler!        Proverbs 17:7

Each one betrays his friend; no one tells the truth.  They have taught their tongues to speak lies; they wear themselves out doing wrong.  You live in a world of deception.  In their deception they refuse to know Me.     This is the Lord’s declaration.         Jeremiah 9:5-6

 

 

We seem to be living in a world and time where telling lies is the norm.  Telling the TRUTH is becoming more and more of a rarity. 

 

I have been told time and time again that politicians are nothing but LIARS, they will tell you anything in order to gain votes.  The Bible indicates that LYING LIPS are more unsuited for a ruler than eloquent lips are for a godless fool.  Yet it appears that some people in our nation can tell lies upon lies and deceive the people, and even put our nation in peril, yet there are some who will follow that person over a proverbial cliff, WHY?  Do they relish in the thought of being a part of that deception, which will destroy our way of life, as we know it, today? 

 

The Scriptures tell us that a person will betray their friend and NO ONE tells the TRUTH.  They have actually taught their tongues to speak lies, and they wear themselves out doing wrong.  It also tells us that we live in a world of deception.   In today’s world we live in a cesspool of deception.  People lie to each other, especially if it feeds their own desires, at any cost.  They work LONG and HARD at doing wrong.  Their souls have become wicked and depraved.  Things that once were considered unethical or immoral are NOW being embraced and being ingrained into every fiber of society.  And what is GOOD, PURE, and MORAL, is looked upon as BAD and POLITICALLY INCORRECT.  These people refuse to KNOW God, and refuse to follow His laws.  They are facing JUDGMENT and will be condemned to an ETERNITY of TORTURE, TORMENT, HEARTACHE, PAIN, AGONY and DESPAIR.  All because of LYING LIPS and a DECIETFUL HEART.

 

In a few months, we will go to the polls to cast our vote for the individual we think would be best suited to lead our nation.  Grant you our choices are NOT that promising, but we NEED to vote, nonetheless.  My suggestion is that we be MUCH in prayer and SEEK God’s guidance in the matter.  CONSIDER the facts, and use GOOD common sense. 

Are you a part of the group that will try to deceive people, and that will be the certain death of this great nation?  The choice is yours.  God tells us to CHOSE this day whom we will serve.  And who do you serve?  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God then you are serving the devil and are headed for HELL, the place of torment, torture, agony, heartache, pain and despair, for ALL of eternity.  But God doesn’t want you there, so He is offering you the opportunity NOW, to turn to Him, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and SEEK His guidance in your life.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
