“The Last Days”

 

 

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.  And from such people turn away!          2Timothy 3:1-5

 

The Apostle Paul in his letter to Timothy, warns him of the societal climate of this old, wretched, sin-laden, world during the LAST DAYS, just before the RAPTURE OR CATCHING AWAY of God’s TRUE BELIEVERS.

 

Paul, evidently had in mind that these characteristics of the LAST DAYS were already evidenced in Ephesus, and he believed that he was living in the LAST DAYS, and the societal degeneration would ONLY get worse as time goes on.  

 

Reading through these UNGODLY attributes of mankind, we can see that the Apostle Paul, being led by God’s Holy Spirit was ENTIRELY correct.   From the beginning of the first century to the RETURN of JESUS CHRIST, we can definitely see the escalation of the degeneration of society, throughout the entire world.  WE TRULY ARE LIVING in the LAST DAYS, which means that the RETURN of JESUS can occur at ANY TIME.  

 

Paul in his letter to the Thessalonians, (2:7-12), speaks of the lawlessness that was already at work in the world.  This lawlessness will set the stage for the coming of the lawless one, the Anti-Christ, who will take over the world, after the RAPTURE of God’s TRUE CHILDREN. 

 

I believe that this old, wretched, world is in for some pretty tough times.  We who are TRUE BELIEVERS are waiting, with bated breath, the return of Jesus Christ to take us away to be with Him FOREVER.  “EVEN SO, COME QUICKLY LORD JESUS!”  Where are you in this scenario?  Will you be left-behind? That is, IF you survive the devastating effects of the RAPTURE?  

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you WILL be LEFT-BEHIND.  And will face ALL the HORRORS of the Tribulation and an eternity in Hell.  However, you NOW have the opportunity to come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a TRUE CHILD of the Living God, who will take flight into Heaven for an ETERNITY with God, the Father, and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!! COULD BE TODAY!!!
