“The Mind Governed by the Flesh, Versus The Mind Governed by the Spirit”

 

 

For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set of the Spirit is life and peace.  Now if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.      Romans 8:6, 10

 

The one living in the flesh has the mind-set of the flesh, up to the time they accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.  At that time the Holy Spirit comes and indwells the TRUE BELIEVER and gives life to that person, eternal life, in Heaven, they will not be separated from God, but will be a part of His family, and possess the SALVATION of their soul.  Their name will be written down in the Lamb’s Book of Life indicating that they belong to God.

 

When a TRUE BELIEVER sins they come under the convicting power of the Holy Spirit that indwells them, and when they CONFESS their sins, God is faithful to FORGIVE them of their sins, (1John 1:9)  and their fellowship, with Father God is RESTORED.   

 

However the one who has the mind-set of the flesh and is GOVERNED by the FLESH experiences a double death, their body dies and they experience a spiritual death as well, which means that they are separated from God and ALL that is GOOD.  Their soul ends up in Hell, the place of unending torture, torment, agony and despair, because their mind-set of the flesh is hostile to God and does not submit itself to God’s law, those who are GOVERNED by the FLESH cannot please God, nor are they acceptable to Him.

 

So are you GOVERNED by the FLESH or are you GOVERNED by the SPIRIT?  If you are GOVERNED by the FLESH, you will face that double death and be sentenced to an eternity in Hell.  But God is giving you the opportunity to become a TRUE BELIEVER and to have the mind-set of the Spirit, and reap the benefits of His FREE gift of SALVATION.  You do that by; coming to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for You and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and be GOVERNED by His SPIRIT, with your name written down in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and on your way to HEAVEN.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
