“The Spirit is Life!”

 

 

 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.          Romans 8:10-11

 

Since the fall of mankind, Adam and Eve, a physical and spiritual death has reigned upon ALL mankind.  The Apostle Paul tells his readers that their bodies are subject to death because of SIN, but if Christ is in them then they are given LIFE by the Spirit of the Living God, because of RIGHTEOUSNESS.

 

We know that ALL mortal bodies will die, except for those who are alive during the RAPTURE.  But those who are not given the longevity of their mortal body will face a physical death. And IF the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He will give your mortal bodies LIFE.  God promises a spiritual resurrection NOW, and a bodily resurrection in the future.

 

Therefore, if the Spirit of the Living God, the very same Spirit that raised Jesus’ body from the dead, indwells you, you will have not only Spiritual life, but your body will be resurrected and  transformed into a glorified body and will live for ALL eternity in Heaven with the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ.

 

But if the Spirit is NOT indwelling you, in other words, if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, but are living according to the flesh and its desires, you are spiritually DEAD, even though your mortal body will be resurrected to judgment, and sentencing to an eternity in Hell, the place of eternal torment, torture, pain and agony. 

 

However, God, in His infinite MERCY and GRACE, is offering you the opportunity to come to Him and receive His Spirit and go from a spiritual DEATH to spiritual LIFE.  You can do that by:  Coming to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and His Spirit into your HEART, and receive spiritual LIFE in Heaven, for ALL of eternity.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
