“Possess It and Profess It!”

 

 

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.        Romans 10:10

 

The HEART is known as the “center of emotions,” it is the innermost location of our personality, our TRUE feelings.  For it is from within the HEART that our TRUE emotions emerge. 

 

When the Holy Spirit deals with an individual, He deals with the HEART, He brings CONVICTION into the HEART of that person and it is with the HEART that one either ACCEPTS or REJECTS the Son of God. 

 

Sadly to say, many are duped by Satan, they hear the Word of God and THINK that if they walk the aisle or bend a knee, and repeat a prayer, that is all it takes for them to receive SALVATION.  But that is NOT the case, and MANY will miss Heaven by about fourteen inches, the distance between the HEART and the MIND.  They may ACCEPT Christ in their MINDS but NOT TRULY BELIEVE it in their HEART. 

 

Our Scripture says, “It is with your HEART that you BELIEVE and are JUSTIFIED,” You cannot just have a “head-knowledge” and NOT have a TRUE HEART experience, and expect to receive SALVATION.  You must BELIEVE in your HEART that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He died for YOU, and that God raised Him from the dead.  Then when you come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART and CONFESS your sins to Him, He will FORGIVE you of your sins and you will be JUSTIFIED and will POSSESS the gift of SALVATION and ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven.

 

Then you should PROFESS your JUSTIFICATION and SALVATION from your mouth.  You can usually tell what the content of a person’s HEART is by the words they use.  If your words are vile, filthy, vulgar, mean-spirited, unkind, and demeaning, then that is what is TRULY in your HEART, and does not reflect a HEART that has been TRULY CLEANSED or a HEART that belongs to God.  The HEART that TRULY belongs to God will be reflected by words that will PRAISE and GLORIFY His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON.  Words that will PROCLAIM the GOOD NEWS that JESUS SAVES.  What do you POSSESS in your HEART?  And what does your mouth PROFESS?

You can have a TRULY CLEANSED HEART, and POSSESS SALVATION by coming to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and POSSESS IT and PROFESS IT.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
