“Crucifying the Flesh and Walking by the Spirit”

 

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.    Galatians 5:24

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.      Galatians 5:16

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.       Galatians 5:25

 

 

SALVATION is a LIFE-CHANGING experience.  When we come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, we are to TURN AWAY from our OLD, SINFUL, DEPRAVED, desires of our flesh, and to CRUCIFY or EXECUTE them by nailing them to the Cross of Christ.

 

Then we are to open our HEART and LIFE up to the Holy Spirit and to WALK or LIVE by the SPIRIT, which will bring us into a NEWNESS of LIFE, and when we do this we will NOT gratify the SINFUL, DEPRAVED desires of the FLESH.  But we will gratify the desires of God’s Holy Spirit, who indwells us, and GUIDES us along the path that God has for us to travel in this journey of life.  Then our FINAL DESTINATION will be HEAVEN for ALL of ETERNITY.

 

When we LIVE by the Spirit, we SHOULD keep in step with the SPIRIT.  In other words, we NEED to CONDUCT ourselves in the manner that the SPIRIT instructs us.  We should NOT live according to the FLESH, but according to the SPIRIT of the Holy, Righteous God, to whom we BELONG.  We, the TRUE CHILDREN of God, should reflect the characteristics of our Heavenly Father.  So that others would see our good deeds, and be drawn to the One who can bring them to the LIFE-CHANGING experience of SALVATION.  So they may CRUCIFY their OLD, SINFUL, DEPRAVED desires of the FLESH and start LIVING by the SPIRIT. 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are living a DOOMED life, and are headed for an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and with NO WAY of ESCAPE, unless you TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL lifestyle and TURN TO God, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of LIFE-CHANGING SALVATION, and CRUCIFY the FLESH and WALK by the SPIRIT.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
