“The True CHRISTIAN”

 

Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal:   “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”                         2 Timothy 2:19

 

God’s solid foundation, the Church is sealed with two inscriptions:  “The Lord knows those who are His.”  There are many people who PROFESS to be TRUE CHRISTIANS, however, it is by TITLE only.  They desire the TITLE, but they don’t want to LIVE the LIFESTYLE.   The TRUE CHRISTIAN LIFESTYLE, is one of FAITHFULNESS, HUMILITY, PATIENCE, SACRIFICING, and COMPASSION.  All of which are NOT conducive to a worldly lifestyle.  Many may come, thinking that they are SAVED from an ETERNITY in Hell, because they walked an aisle, took the preacher’s hand and said a prayer.  That will NOT bring SALVATION to a LOST person.  It MUST come from the HEART, with SINCERETY and a TRUSTING, REPENTANT HEART, one SEEKING FORGIVENESS, TRULY SORRY for their wicked ways.  One that is WILLING to take up their CROSS and FOLLOW Jesus Christ in their daily life, leaving their old, sinful lifestyle and entering a NEW LIFE in Christ. You cannot fool God, He KNOWS your EVERY THOUGHT and INTENTION, whether you are SINCERE and SEEKING His FORGIVENESS or whether you are ROLE PLAYING, and wanting the best of both worlds.  You are given a choice, one or the other.  Either the SINFUL WAY or the GODLY WAY, which will it be an ETERNITY in Hell or in Heaven?

 

The second inscription says:  “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”   Just saying you are a Christian, doesn’t make you one, any more than saying that you are a car.   In order to be a  TRUE CHRISTIAN, you must be wooed by God’s Holy Spirit, and you must be willing to TURN AWAY FROM your sins and TURN TO God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him to FORGIVE you, and BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and TAKE UP your CROSS, and FOLLOW Him.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
