"Turn"

“Turn”

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.   Acts 3:19



I know that this was a message to the nation of Israel, which was to compel them to REPENT or to TURN AWAY FROM their sins INDIVIDUALLY, and then TO TURN AWAY as a nation.  And they were to TURN TO GOD, in order for their sins to be WIPED OUT, therefore, they would NOT be held ACCOUNTABLE for them. 



I believe that this verse of Scripture could be applicable to UNBELIEVERS, whether they are JEW or GENTILE.  Isaiah 45:22, says: “Turn to Me and be saved, ALL you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is NO OTHER.”  He is the RIGHTEOUS GOD, and a SAVIOR, and there is NO OTHER GOD apart from Him.  “SALVATION is found in NO ONE ELSE, for there is NO OTHER name under Heaven given to MANKIND by which we MUST be SAVED” (Acts 4:12).  Just call out the PRECIOUS, WONDERFUL, POWERFUL, MERCIFUL name, JESUS, which is ABOVE ALL OTHER NAMES in Heaven or on Earth. 



The act of REPENTANCE is to TURN AWAY FROM SIN and TURN TO RIGHTEOUSNESS, which is found in the act of SALVATION, which was brought about through the shed blood of the PRECIOUS SACRIFICAL LAMB of GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  Who died in YOUR and MY place on an old, cruel, rugged cross.  He took our SUFFERING and DEATH, and ALL the sins of ALL mankind, upon Himself, in order for MANKIND to be SAVED, and to PROVIDE them with an ETERNITY in HEAVEN.  And to be able to ESCAPE HELL, with ALL of its HORRORS.  Have you made the TURN that will determine your destiny?  HEAVEN or HELL? 



In order to receive God’s gift of SALVATION, you MUST BE WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and to TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and TURN FROM sin, TO RIGHTEOUSNESS, and TURN FROM an ETERNITY in HELL to an ETERNITY in HEAVEN.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

"Plans"

“Plans”

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’S purpose that prevails.          Proverbs 19:21



Everyone makes plans, plan-making, is not a bad thing, unless you make plans, and leave the Lord God out of your plan-making.  It is ALWAYS a WISE thing to allow God to guide you, when charting out your plans.  Because, it is with the HEART that mankind plans their course, BUT it is the LORD that ESTABLISHES their steps. 



When a person makes plans without talking to God, and getting His guidance, they open themselves up for DISASTER.  The LORD’S purpose will prevail in EVERY situation.  He will NOT allow us to FAIL, when we are OPEN, CONSIDERATE, and RESPECTFUL of His LEADERSHIP.  Proverbs 16:3 says: “Commit to the LORD WHATEVER you do, and He will ESTABLISH your plans.”  This is an ESSENTIAL STEP in having SUCCESS in you plan-making.  God is very much aware of the motives of a person’s heart, and as long as those motives are PURE and UPRIGHT, then the potential for SUCCESS is EXTREMELY FAVORABLE. 



The LORD works out EVERYTHING to its PROPER END. (v 4) Of that, you can be assured.  So, if you are a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD, one who has given their HEART and LIFE to Him.  You NEED to PUT EVERY FACET of your LIFE, especially PLAN-MAKING, in His Hands.  Because He KNOWS what is BEST for EACH of His Children. 



And if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to Him, you are NOT His Child, until you are WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then you MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and give Him OPEN ACCESS to your PLAN-MAKING, and ALLOW Him to change your DESTINY from an ETERNITY in Hell, with ALL its HORRORS to an ETERNITY in Heaven, with ALL its BLESSINGS, a REAL SUCCESSFUL PLAN.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

"Trust in the Lord"

“Trust in the Lord”

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in you.  Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.      Isaiah 26:3-4



Mankind stresses over a lot of things, situations, and other people.  And a lot of the time, there is NOTHING THEY nor ANYONE else can do to resolve the scenario, which becomes a HUGE STRESS FACTOR for them.   So, they end up with medical problems, which complicates an ALREADY STRESSFUL scenario.  We definitely live in a world FULL of STRESS and ANXIETY, and the NEWS of ALL that is happening adds to the STRESS LEVEL.  Just WHERE can you go to get some RELIEF from living with STRESS?



The Word of God, the BIBLE, tells us exactly what we CAN and SHOULD do, to be able to exist in these types of surroundings.  FIRST:  You NEED to have a RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD. ONLY HE can give you PERFECT PEACE, when your MIND and HEART are STAYED or KEPT on Him.  Then you NEED to TRUST Him with EVERY FACET of your life.  Even the things that you think are trivial. When you give your HEART and LIFE to Him, He TRULY CARES about ALL that affects YOU.  And He wants to HELP you.  He wants to be your EVERLASTING ROCK, your FORTRESS, REFUGE, and your PEACE of MIND. 



He wants you to TRUST in Him FOREVER.  Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to:  “TRUST in the LORD with ALL your HEART, and lean NOT on you OWN understanding.  In ALL your ways ACKNOWLEDGE Him, and He will DIRECT your paths.”  After all, He is OMNISCIENT, meaning He KNOWS EVERYTHING, and who better to TRUST, than the ONE who KNOWS what lies ahead, and the BEST WAY to be able to COPE with EACH situation. 



However, the ONLY WAY you can TRUST in the LORD forever, is to become His Child.  To do that you MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and to TURN to GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  Then BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  And you MUST ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and TRUST in the LORD to SAVE you from an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, and to PROVIDE you with an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

"Are You Being DECEIVED?"

“Are You Being DECEIVED?”

Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”  Come to your senses and stop sinning, for some people are ignorant about God.  I say this to your shame.                                      1 Corinthians 15:33-34



The Apostle Paul was speaking to the Corinthian Believers, who were being influenced by FALSE TEACHERS, who had infiltrated the Church at Corinth, and were teaching a FALSE doctrine, concerning the RESURRECTION.  The believers were being DECEIVED, and STRAYING from the TRUTH.



Paul’s fear, was that the minds and hearts of the believers in Corinth would be SEDUCED from a COMPLETE and PURE devotion to Christ, which would CORRUPT their GOOD morals.  The sentence: “Bad company corrupts good morals,” is from the poet Menander. Yet it holds MUCH TRUTH.  BAD COMPANY CAN and WILL influence an individual’s morals and attitude about things they once denounced, but may be embracing, because of the DECEPTION that is influencing their behavior.  DECEPTION is one of the devil’s most effective tools.  He is the master of deception.  And given the opportunity he CAN and WILL destroy a BELIEVER’S witness, by DECEIVING them, and CORRUPTING their HEARTS and MINDS. 



So the Apostle Paul goes on to WARN the BELIEVERS: “Come to your senses and STOP SINNING, for some people are IGNORANT about God.”  They PROFESS to be WISE in the ways of God, but they are NOT.  And the devil will use your weaknesses concerning the lack of your knowledge, and the lack of a CLOSE relationship that you have with God, to DECEIVE you into BELIEVING and ACCEPTING LIES instead of the TRUTH.  You MUST be STRONG in your FAITH, POSSESS A CLOSE and INTIMATE relationship with God. And you MUST have KNOWLEDGE of God’s Word.  And have an ACTIVE and PERSISTENT PRAYER LIFE. 



If, however, you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God then you are being DECEIVED and DESTINED for an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE.  In order to NOT be DECEIVED, and to CHANGE your DESTINY, you must be WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then you MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  Then BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and TURN AWAY FROM the BAD COMPANY and CORRUPT MORALS, and TURN TO GOD.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

"Condemned or Not Condemned?"

“Condemned or Not Condemned?”

“He who believes in Him is NOT condemned; but he who does NOT believe is condemned already, because he has NOT believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God.”            John 3:18



To CONDEMN is to give grounds or reason for convicting.   If you continue reading verses 18-21, you will see that the CONDEMNATION was, that the LIGHT has come into the world and men LOVED darkness rather than the LIGHT, because their deeds were evil.   Jesus said:  “I am the Light of the World.  He who follows Me shall NOT walk in DARKNESS, but have the LIGHT of Life.” (John 8:12)



When an individual comes to BELIEVE and ACCEPT Jesus Christ as their SAVIOR and LORD, they are NOT CONDEMNED, and will NOT be JUDGED for their sins, PAST, PRESENT or FUTURE, because the BLOOD of the LORD JESUS CHRIST COVERS ALL SINS.  Yet, they are obligated to CONFESS ALL SINS to God, because of their LOVE and DEVOTION for His Son, Jesus Christ, who took their CONDEMNATION and GUILT away, when He was CRUCIFIED on the cross.  And He gave them ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.    John 5:24:  The words of Jesus: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and BELIEVES in Him who sent Me has EVERLASTING LIFE, and shall NOT come into Judgment, but has passed from DEATH into LIFE.”



However, this is NOT what awaits the UNBELIEVER, those who REJECT the Son of God, and REFUSES to BELIEVE in Him and the One who sent Him.  Nor do they DESIRE to LIVE in the LIGHT, but prefer to LIVE in DARKNESS, because their DEEDS are EVIL.  The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Thessalonians, says, “They PERISH because they did NOT accept the love of the truth in order to be SAVED. For this reason, God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe what is false, so that ALL will be condemned---those who did NOT BELIEVE the TRUTH but enjoyed UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. (Read: 2 Thess. 2:9-12) Their destiny is an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE.  Are you CONDEMNED ALREADY, or NOT CONDEMNED?



The ONLY way to NOT be CONDEMNED to an ETERNITY in HELL, is to be WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then you MUST CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  And ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and be ASSURED that you are NOT CONDEMNED, and on your way to an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“The Greatest Evidence of God’s Power”

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.        1 Corinthians 1:18



In my opinion the GREATEST EVIDENCE of God’s POWER is in the MESSAGE of the CROSS, which is the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST, and His mission to SEEK and to SAVE the LOST.



 In this verse of Scripture we clearly see mankind divided into two groups. Those who are PERISHING, the LOST, and those who are BEING SAVED, or the UNBELIEVER and the TRUE BELIEVER.  The Apostle Paul, saw a need for the RENEWAL of the minds of the Corinthian believers.  They were trying to live their CHRISTIAN lives under their own POWER, and using UNSANCTIFIED common sense, which leads to:  SELF-seeking, SELF-serving, and SELF-destruction.  And they were NOT depending on the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT, which indwelt them, and still indwells EVERY TRUE BELIEVER, today. 



The MESSAGE of the CROSS, will eliminate SELF-CENTEREDNESS, and bring the individual to the CROSS, giving them the MESSAGE that JESUS SAVES, and there is NO OTHER WAY to become a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD.  It brings them to first, being JUSTIFIED, then after JUSTIFICATION, they will be SANCTIFIED, and then GLORIFICATION.  The MESSAGE of the CROSS brings SELF-DENIAL, and OBEDIENCE to God and His Word. 



The GREATEST EVIDENCE of the POWER of God, I believe is the REGENERATION of the HEART of MANKIND.  The POWER of the CROSS, resulting in the POWER to SAVE mankind from the POWER of SIN, ETERNAL DEATH, and the GRAVE.  To me, this is the GREATEST EVIDENCE of God’s POWER.  Have you experienced His SAVING POWER?



The way for you to experience the SAVING POWER of GOD, is for you to be WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART. Then CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and experience the POWER of GOD, and the POWER He has to give you an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, and to be able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

"Barriers"

“Barriers”

Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear.  But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.       Isaiah 59:1-2



What BARRIERS do you have that are SEPARATING you from God, maybe even SEPARATING you from your ETERNAL INHERITANCE of an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS?  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then your ETERNAL LIFE will be in a place called HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE.  If you are a TRUE BELIEVER, and you have UNCONFESSED SIN in your HEART and LIFE, then you are SEPARATING yourself from God, and are unable to fellowship with Him. 



It is NOT God’s fault in any of these situations.  He has provided SALVATION to ANYBODY, who will come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and CONFESS their iniquities, which are the BARRIERS that are SEPARATING you from God and ALL He has to offer His TRUE CHILDREN.  Whether, SAVED or UNSAVED, your sins are like FILTHY, ROTTEN, PUTRID rags before the RIGHTEOUS, ALMIGHTY GOD, and that you are still clinging to.  And as long as they are in your life, UNCONFESSED, they will cause God to HIDE His face from you and He will NOT HEAR you, when you PRAY, unless it is a PRAYER of REPENTANCE and REMORSE for your UNCONFESSED sins.



King David tells us, in Psalm 66:18:  “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would NOT have listened.”  UNCONFESSED SINS are BARRIERS, which SEPARATES us from God, and for the UNSAVED they are SPIRITUAL DEATH WARRANTS that will bring JUDGMENT and CONDEMNATION of an ETERNITY in HELL.  For the SAVED, it breaks the line of FELLOWSHIP and COMMUNICATION to God.  These BARRIERS MUST be CRUSHED in either case.  There is ONLY ONE who can do that, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.



In order for Him to be your BARRIER BREAKER, you MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and let JESUS break down ALL those BARRIERS that are SEPARATING you from your HEAVENLY FATHER.  And receive Heaven as your ETERNAL HOME, and for the TRUE BELIEVER, have your FELLOWSHIP with God RESTORED.  Do this NOW, while you still can.   He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“The Conflict Between Truth and Lies”

Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands far off.  For truth has stumbled in the public square, and honesty cannot enter.  Truth is missing, and whoever turns from evil is plundered.  The LORD saw that there was no justice, and He was offended.        Isaiah 59:14-15



We live in a very WICKED world, one that is progressing in its evilness, vileness and depravity.  And mankind is caught up in its very DISASTRORUS clutches, which if NOT DEFEATED will hurl mankind into an ETERNAL DESTINY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE.



JUSTICE:  The use of authority to UPHOLD what is RIGHT, JUST, or LAWFUL.  As I view the things that are happening in our world, today, I have to ask:  Where is JUSTICE?  Has it been turned BACK, due to the ABUSE of the AUTHORITY to UPHOLD what is RIGHT, JUST and LAWFUL?  And what about RIGHTEOUSNESS is it STANDING FAR OFF, because people would rather do what is WRONG than to do what is RIGHT, in the Eyes of the Almighty God? 



What about TRUTH, is there any HOPE for TRUTH to ever exist in our world?  The Scripture says; “Truth has STUMBLED in the PUBLIC SQUARE.”  It is getting to the point that we can hardly tell the TRUTH from the LIES in our society today.  TRUTH and HONESTY go hand in hand.  An HONEST person will NOT tell a LIE. A DISHONEST person, on the other hand, can’t tell the TRUTH.  Is TRUTH MISSING?  GOD HELP US!!



It is getting to the point, that those who STOP doing evil, and try to FOLLOW God’s ways are at risk of being PLUNDERED, as the Word of God says.  And seems to be at RISK of being PERSECUTED because of their stand as a TRUE BELIEVER of the One TRUE GOD!!



We are told that God saw that there was NO JUSTICE, and He was OFFENDED.  Now, if there is ANYTHING that you wouldn’t want to do, that is to OFFEND GOD.  So, when Israel SINNED against God, He brought destruction upon Judah and Jerusalem, by the hands of the Babylonians, to teach His people that they cannot go against, and despise His law and get away with it.  There is coming a day when ALL nations will be JUDGED by the ALMIGHTY GOD.  And they will face His FINAL judgment.  There is a time coming, when those who have REJECTED God’s Son, Jesus Christ, and His gift of SALVATION, will face JUDGMENT and SENTENCED to ALL ETERNITY in HELL, for their STUBBORN REFUSAL to TURN AWAY FROM their sinful lifestyle, and to TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then CONFESS their sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS. Then BELIEVE, with ALL their HEART that JESUS died for THEM, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for them, before God.  And to ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and KNOW the TRUTH, and FOLLOW GOD’S WORD.  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD, why not do so NOW, just FOLLOW THE ABOVE plan, and do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!! 

"Faithfully Obey"

“Faithfully Obey”

Teach me, LORD, what you want me to do, and I will obey you faithfully; teach me to serve you with complete devotion.      Psalm 86:11



This was a prayer offered to God, from David, for God’s protection, and to keep him from DEATH. David acknowledged God’s GREATNESS, His CONSTANT LOVE and FORGIVING HEART.  He also acknowledged that there is NO OTHER god like JEHOVAH GOD, who has done what ONLY He can do.  He is MIGHTY and MERCIFUL, and HE ALONE is GOD.  He cares about His Children, and will ALWAYS BE FAITHFUL to those who FAITHFULLY OBEY His commands.



This part of David’s prayer is one, which EVERY TRUE BELIEVER, should be WILLING to pray, from a WILLING CONTRITE HEART.  “Teach me, LORD, what you want me to do, and I will OBEY YOU FAITHFULLY;” We so often, try to tell God what WE WANT to do, or we just COMPLETELY leave Him OUT of the entire scenario.  When we should SEEK His GUIDANCE, and FOLLOW HIM, and FAITHFULLY OBEY His Instructions.   We then could save ourselves a lot of HEARTACHES and DISAPPOINTMENTS. 



The next phrase is a little like the first; “teach me to serve you with complete devotion.”  We need to realize that we are HIS SERVANTS, and we need to KNOW what PLEASES HIM, so that we might SERVE HIM with COMPLETE DEVOTION, which means WHOLE-HEARTEDLY and NOT HALF-HEARTEDLY.  But with ALL we are, have, or EVER HOPE to be.  After ALL He has done for us, it is the LEAST we can do for HIM.  So, the question for the TRUE BELIEVER is: “Are you FAITHFULLY OBEYING the LORD GOD, and DAILY SEEKING His GUIDANCE?  Are you STRIVING to PLEASE Him, in your SERVICE to Him?  If NOT, you NEED to make it RIGHT, by FAITHFULLY OBEYING His Word and SEEKING HIS Will.



If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are being DISOBEDIENT and NOT OBEDIENT to Him and His commands.  And you are DOOMED to spend ALL ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE.  In order to CHANGE your DESTINY, you MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and FAITHFULLY OBEY Him and His Word.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

"How Much Longer?"

“How Much Longer?”

The LORD said to Moses, “How much longer will these people reject Me?  How much longer will they refuse to trust in Me, even though I have performed so many miracles among them?”      Numbers 14:11



This was God’s message to Moses, because of ALL the complaining of the people, who were in distress, over their trek through the wilderness.  They were so disgruntled with the way God, through Moses, was leading them, so much so, that they even thought it would have been better to die in Egypt, and even talked about choosing another leader and go back to Egypt!”  Where was their TRUST in God?”



So God said to Moses, “How much longer, will these people REJECT Me?”  The first thought that entered my mind when I read this Scripture, was:  I wonder if God, NOW, looks at Jesus, His One and Only Son, who SUFFERED and DIED on an Old RUGGED Cross, to REDEEM or SET FREE mankind, from their BONDAGE to SIN, and to provide an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN for their wretched souls.  I wonder if God says to Jesus, “How much longer, will these people REJECT Me?”  And, How much longer, will they REFUSE to TRUST in Me, for their ETERNAL DESTINY?”



Do UNBELIEVERS not realize what awaits them? Which is an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE.  Will they CONTINUE to REJECT God’s offer of SALVATION?  And will they REFUSE to TRUST Him for their ETERNITY, after ALL He has done to secure their SALVATION, and to provide them with RIGHTEOUSNESS?  “HOW MUCH LONGER,” will they wait to get their HEARTS RIGHT with God?  Time is fleeting and so is their opportunity to TURN AWAY FROM their sinful lifestyle, and to TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART. They MUST BE WILLING to CONFESS their sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  They MUST BELIEVE, with ALL their HEART, that Jesus died for them, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for them, before God.  They MUST ACCEPT GOD’s gift of SALVATION, and TRUST HIM with their ETERNAL DESTINY.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“Who IS God?”

“It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it.  My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts.  For this is what the LORD says---He who created the heavens, He is God; He who fashioned and made the earth, He founded it; He did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited---He says:  “I am the LORD, and there is no other.  “Turn to ME and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.”        Isaiah 45:12, 18, 22



There are many in this world, today, who question if there is really a GOD.  Some believe that there is some kind of a SUPREME BEING, but they don’t have a clue as to who or what it is.  So let me share with you the God of ALL mankind.



As our Scriptures tells us, THERE IS A GOD.  Genesis 1:1 says: “In the BEGINNING GOD CREATED the heavens and the earth.”  But if you don’t believe in CREATIONISM, then read Romans 1:20:  “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities---His eternal power and divine nature---have been CLEARLY seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are WITHOUT EXCUSE.  The last part of this Scripture is speaking of the UNBELIEVER.  Those who REFUSE to BELIEVE that God DOES exist.



We are a part of God’s creation, the birth of a human being is in itself, an ABSOLUTE miracle.  Mankind was created by God, and the CREATOR GOD wishes that this part of His CREATION would BELIEVE and ACCEPT the fact that:  HE DOES EXIST!!  There is NO OTHER god like Him.



He not ONLY CREATED ALL THINGS, but He has provided a WAY for SINFUL MANKIND to become a part of His FAMILY, and to be able to have FELLOWSHIP with their CREATOR, their RIGHTEOUS SAVIOR.  The One who will bring them SALVATION and will KEEP them from an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY of ESCAPE. 



There is NO OTHER ONE who can do that for you, NO ONE, that is why He issues this invitation:  “TURN TO ME and be SAVED!” Because there is NO OTHER, except THE LORD GOD, ALMIGHTY. ALL you have to do is LOOK around you, you KNOW that there is a CREATOR, so just BELIEVE that it is THE LORD GOD.  And BELIEVE that He LOVES YOU, with a LOVE that can NEVER BE DUPLICATED.  He wants YOU to spend ALL of ETERNITY with Him.  To do that, you MUST BE WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and KNOW and BELIEVE that there is a GOD and He is your SAVIOR and LORD.  And spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

I Love You, Lord, My Strength.  The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress and my Deliverer, my God, my Mountain where I seek refuge, my Shield and the Horn of my Salvation, my Stronghold.  I called to the Lord, Who is worthy of Praise, and I was saved from my enemies.      Psalm 18:1-3



Have you ever noticed that people, who claim to be a “self-made” man or woman, will brag about all of their GREAT claims to fame?  Or how they have ACCOMPLISHED so much, and ALL because of their BRILLIANT MINDS, and their TALENTED ABILITIES.  Now, just where did they get those BRILLIANT MINDS and TALENTED ABILITIES, if it wasn’t for the GRACE of GOD?



When God created mankind, He created them with a BRAIN, so that they might be able to THINK and REASON, in order to survive and in a lot of cases to PROSPER.  The PROBLEM is that mankind has TURNED AWAY FROM their CREATOR GOD, and have come to the conclusion that, they don’t NEED Him. But like King David, when their backs are against the wall, and they have run out of SELF-MADE IDEAS and MONEY won’t be able to BUY them solutions to their problems.  They want and EXPECT God to come to their aid.



We who are TRUE BELIEVERS, and TRUST in God for ALL our NEEDS and the solutions to ALL our PROBLEMS, we place our TRUST in Him, because He is:  our STRENGTH, our ROCK, He provides SECURITY and STABILITY when we are WEAK, He is STRONG.  He is our FORTRESS or our HIDING PLACE, a REFUGE during the STORMS of LIFE.  He is our DELIVERER, He is the ONLY ONE who can give us DELIVERANCE from the devil and his devious schemes.  He CAN and WILL DELIVER us from our sins and give us an ETERNAL INHERITANCE of an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  He is our STRONG MOUNTAIN, where we can RUN to and receive PROTECTION, when we are faced with enemies that want to overcome us and DEFEAT us.  He is our SHIELD and the HORN of our SALVATION; God can give us STRENGTH to be OVERCOMERS and to be VICTORIOUS in this TEMPORARY life.  The animal HORNS were symbols of STRENGTH and MIGHT.  What a MIGHTY GOD we serve, and is MORE than WORTHY of our PRAISE and TRUST.



So, if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, and have NOT offered Him your PRAISE and TRUST, then you are facing an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE. Just REMEMBER that the ONLY prayers that GOD HEARS are the PRAYERS of HIS CHILDREN.  (Ps. 66:18) And until you COME TO HIM with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and CONFESS your sins to Him, asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, and BELEVING with ALL your HEART that JESUS died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  And then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, you are NOT His Child, you are His creation, but NOT HIS CHILD.   When you come to Him with this prayer, He WILL HEAR and ACCEPT you as one of His own.  So, do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“The Joy of God’s Salvation”

Restore the joy of Your Salvation to me, and give me a willing spirit.     Psalm 51:12



Psalm 51 is a Davidic Psalm, meaning it is one that King David penned.  And it is a prayer of REPENTANCE from David, because of his transgressions with Bathsheba.  David was at the point where his heart was shrouded with guilt and sorrow over his sins against God.  In verse four, David confesses “Against You---You alone---I have sinned and done this evil in Your sight.”



How often have we been where David was?  Feeling GUILT and REMORSE over the sins we have committed, and NOT CONFESSED, or at least NOT quickly thereafter.  We have lingered in our transgression, with the idea that maybe God didn’t SEE or HEAR what went on.  But the TRUTH is God is ALL KNOWING, and PRESENT EVERYWHERE.  So, He KNOWS, and expects us to CONFESS our sins to Him, just as David did.  “Against You---You alone---I have SINNED and done EVIL in Your SIGHT.”



David, makes many requests of God, concerning his transgressions.  One was that God would create a CLEAN HEART for him and RENEW a STEADFAST SPIRIT within him. (v 10) Along with the CLEANSING of the HEART, comes the RENEWING of the spirit.  CONFESSING your sins is one part of REPENTANCE.  Another is to ALLOW God to RENEW in you a STEADFAST SPIRIT, which will help KEEP you FROM holding on to the sin, or drifting back into it again. 



David realized, that for him to experience, once again the JOY of God’s SALVATION, he would need to have his relationship with God, RESTORED and to do that he would NEED a WILLING SPIRIT.  WILLING to SUBMIT ALL to God and TRUST Him with his SALVATION and SANCTIFICATION.  Have you LOST the JOY of God’s SALVATION?  Have you EVER experienced the JOY of God’s SALVATION?



If you have NOT experienced the JOY of His SALVATION, then you are DESTINED to spend ALL of ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE.  However, God wants you to experience the JOY of His SALVATION, by:  YOU WILLINGLY TURNING AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURNING TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, and to CREATE in YOU a CLEAN HEART and a STEADFAST SPIRIT.  BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and experience the JOY of His SALVATION, with a WILLING HEART.  Do this NOW, while you still can, He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“From the time I brought your ancestors up from Egypt until today, I warned them again and again, saying “Obey Me.”  But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubbornness of their evil hearts.  So, I brought on them all the curses of the covenant I had commanded them to follow but that they did not keep.”        Jeremiah 11:7-8



From the FALL of MAN, until NOW, mankind has followed this same scenario.  Even though this was a message from God for the Prophet Jeremiah to deliver to the nation of Israel, it is definitely applicable to ALL of mankind of today.  So to the reader, I say:  “Take HEED to what you will be reading.”



Mankind is born with a sinful nature, which means they are prone to LIVE in sin. And without Christ they are destined to pay the price for their transgressions.  God, in His infinite WISDOM and ABUNDANT MERCY has provided mankind with a plan to be able to ESCAPE the CURSES brought upon them by their DISOBEDIENCE to the ALMIGHTY GOD, and FOLLOWING the STUBBORNNESS of their EVIL HEARTS. 



The OUTCOME of being DISOBEDIENT and FOLLOWING the STUBBORNNESS of their EVIL HEART is eventually spending ALL of ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY of ESCAPING.



Many people today hear the Word of God, and REJECT His invitation to TURN AWAY FROM THEIR SINFUL LIFESTYLE and to TURN to Him.  They are being DISOBEDIENT to Him, and they would rather take their chances of FOLLOWING their own STUBBORNNESS of their EVIL HEART.  The thing about taking chances is that you will DEFINITELY PAY for the chance you take.  Because it will eventually affect your LIFE and your ETERNITY.   So, PLEASE STOP being DISOBEDIENT to God and FOLLOWING the STUBBORNNESS of your EVIL HEART, and come to God, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and OBEY Him and FOLLOW in HIS WAYS.   You, then will ESCAPE HELL and GAIN HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, for ALL of ETERNITY.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

"Justified Through Christ Jesus"

“Justified Through Christ Jesus”

“Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.  Through Him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.”        Acts 13:38-39



JUSTIFICATION:  the act in which a sinner is freed from the penalty of their sin by their FAITH in the Lord Jesus Christ, and made RIGHTEOUS before God.



This JUSTIFICATION clears the sinner of EVERY charge against them, and they can rest ASSURED of this, because of the SUBSTITUTIONARY WORK of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary.  He PAID the PRICE to acquit the guilty sinner. 



When mankind is born, they are born with a SINFUL NATURE, and when they reach the age of accountability, they have a CHOICE to make.  They can go the Way of the Cross, and SALVATION, or the way of Satan and end up with an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY of ESCAPING. 



There is ONLY ONE WAY, to ESCAPE HELL, and that is through FAITH and ACCEPTANCE of the LORD JESUS CHRIST as your SAVIOR and LORD.  There is NO OTHER WAY to be JUSTIFIED and made RIGHTEOUS with your CREATOR.  Keeping the Law of Moses, (Ten Commandments), won’t bring you JUSTIFICATION, it will only bring you CONDEMNATION.  Just being a really GOOD PERSON won’t do it, nor will giving MONEY to the church.  You can’t BUY, LIE, or CRY your way into HEAVEN.  You MUST TRULY GIVE your HEART and LIFE to God.



You MUST COME to Him, willing to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and come with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  Then you MUST ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and be JUSTIFIED before Him, through FAITH in JESUS CHRIST, the LORD. And receive an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.                       2 Corinthians 3:18

Who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.       Philippians 3:21



 Glory:  Splendor; magnificent



We all, at some time or another are NOT happy with our appearance, and we wish we could have a BETTER HAIR DAY, or somehow get rid of the BAGS UNDER THE EYES, or LOSE A FEW POUNDS, etc.  You know what I’m getting at.  We just are NOT satisfied with what we look like or feel like.  Well, I want you to know, that if you’re a TRUE BELIEVER, a TRUE CHILD OF GOD, then you have GOOD NEWS coming your way.



The glory that was evident on Moses’ face was a DIMINISHING-RADIANCE, when he came down off the mountain, after having been with the Lord God, the GLORY was so MAGNIFIED, and INTENSILY BRIGHT that Moses veiled his face whenever he spoke to the Nation of Israel, after he had been with the Lord God Almighty.  Was this due to the fact that Moses considered the people to be UNWORTHY to see the DIMINISHING-RADIANCE of God on his face and veiled his face as an indication of their hardness of heart?  This is a strong possibility.



However, in the case of those who are the TRUE CHILDREN of GOD, by the way of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, their faces are UNVEILED, which is done ONLY by the Holy Spirit. And they are being EVER-INCREASINGLY TRANSFORMED from GLORY TO GLORY.  WE, who are the TRUE CHILDREN of GOD, are being made in the IMAGE of HIS SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  Who by the POWER that enables Him to bring EVERYTHING under His control, will GLORIOUSLY TRANSFORM our LOWLY BODIES into PERFECT, GLORIFIED BODIES, like the PERFECT GLORIOUS BODY of our SAVIOR and LORD, Jesus Christ.  So, we are EAGERLY AWAITING His return from Heaven.  Are you?



If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are NOT being TRANSFORMED into a PERFECTLY GLORIOUS BODY, and will NOT have an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS. Instead, you will spend ALL of your ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE.  Unless, of course, you CHANGE your DESTINY.  To do that, you MUST BE WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  And ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and receive the GREATEST TRANSFORMATION, ever known to mankind.  Do this NOW while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

"Spiritual Commitments"

“ Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all His ways and to keep His commandments and to cling to Him and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”       Joshua 22:5

 

As TRUE BELIEVERS of the Almighty God, we have certain mandates that we MUST FOLLOW in OBEDIENCE to Him.  These are known as: “Spiritual Commitments”.  A COMMITMENT is: a PROMISE or PLEDGE to do something.  So as God’s TRUE CHILDREN, who have been adopted into His family, through the DEATH and RESURRECTION of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONE and ONLY Son, for the SALVATION of ALL mankind.  We have certain SPIRITUAL COMMITMENTS that we MUST CARRY OUT. 



The Scripture we will use today, is a Charge of Joshua to his returning soldiers, who will be returning to their own tribes, from battle.  It is a reminder of their ‘SPIRITUAL COMMITMENTS”, which, if they CONTINUE in OBEDIENCE to these SPIRITUAL COMMITMENTS, they will CONTINUE to RECEIVE GOD’S BLESSINGS. 



These SPIRITUAL COMMITMENTS are very APPLICABLE to us today, these are some things that we SHOULD be doing.  We SHOULD OBEY the COMMANDMENT of MOSES:  to LOVE the Lord God with ALL our HEART, and to WALK or LIVE in ALL His ways, and to KEEP His COMMANDMENTS, to CLING or HOLD ON to Him, and to SERVE Him with ALL our HEART and with ALL our SOUL. 



Whenever, we are SLACK in any of these COMMITMENTS, we RISK losing ANY of GOD’S BLESSINGS, and we become WEAK and VULNERABLE to false teachings.  We stifle our SPIRITUAL GROWTH, and become OPEN PREY to the wiles of the devil.



If you have NOT GIVEN your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are NOT FOLLOWING the SPIRITUAL COMMITMENTS, which indicate that you are LOST in your sins and are headed for an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE. However, God, in His INFINITE MERCY and AMAZING GRACE, has provided a WAY for you to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL.  To do this, you MUST BE WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BELIEVE with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is now ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and KEEP your SPIRITUAL COMMITMENTS to Him, and spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

This is a trustworthy saying.  And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good.  These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.        Titus 3:8



TRUSTWORTHY: Dependable, reliable



This is the instructions of the Apostle Paul to Titus, concerning God’s grace as motivation for GODLY LIVING.  And Paul starts off, with the statement: “This is a TRUSTWORTHY saying.” Meaning that it was a RELEABLE statement.  One that Titus COULD and SHOULD STRESS to those who TRULY BELIEVE in God and His AMAZING GRACE, which is provided by the LORD JESUS CHRIST, through His DEATH on the cross, and His RESURRECTION from DEATH and the GRAVE. 



The SOUND DOCTRINE, is that SALVATION, comes from God’s GRACE and NOT from mankind’s RIGHTEOUSNESS.  It is NOT from anything that we have done, but it comes from three aspects of God’s GRACE, which are:  KINDNESS, LOVE, and MERCY, all of which are attributes of the ALMIGHTY GOD.



Out of God’s KINDNESS, we are able to experience God’s LOVE, which provides MERCY, meaning we will NOT RECEIVE what we DESERVE, which is ETERNAL LIFE in HELL, because of our sinfulness, but because of God’s GRACE, we are able to RECEIVE what we DON’T DESERVE, which is ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS. This transformation SHOULD prompt us to do GOOD WORKS for our LORD. 



In other words, we are NOT SAVED by our GOOD WORKS, but we do GOOD WORKS, because WE ARE SAVED.  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE, TOTALLY to God, and maybe you think you will get to HEAVEN because you are a GOOD PERSON, who does a lot of GOOD WORKS.  You are SO WRONG, and will end up spending your ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE.  In order to CHANGE your DESTINY, you MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS CHRIST died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  Then ACCEPT His gift of TRUE SALVATION, and receive this SOUND DOCTRINE and do GOOD WORKS for the LORD.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“A Prosperous New Year”

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you.       Psalm 32:8



We, all are hoping for a PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.  A lot of the outcome of that HOPE will depend on what we allow the Holy Spirit of the Living God to do IN and THROUGH us.   Psalm 25:12, tells us that for those who FEAR, this doesn’t mean to be afraid, but it means to RESPECT God, He will INSTRUCT them in the ways they SHOULD CHOOSE.  The CHOICE is ours for the making, but He is WILLING to GUIDE us in our DECISIONS.  We could save ourselves a lot of HEARTACHE, and REGRET, if we would ALLOW Him to INSTRUCT us in our CHOICES.



When we SUBMIT to the INSTRUCTION of God’s Spirit, we gain WISDOM, which gives us LIFE.  The writer of Proverbs 4:13 tells us to “Hold on to INSTRUCTION and do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.”  Proverbs 13:13, says: “Whoever scorns INSTRUCTION will pay for it, but whoever respects a COMMAND is REWARDED.”



For the UNBELIEVER, those who have NOT given their HEART and LIFE to God, they are REJECTING the INSTRUCTION of God concerning their ETERNAL DESTINY.  It is the HOPE that God will grant them REPENTANCE of their sins, and give them KNOWLEDGE of His TRUTH, and that they might come to their senses and be able to ESCAPE the devil’s trap, which will lead them to an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE.  To avoid this scenario, you MUST TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And CONFESS your sins to Him, and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS. You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that JESUS died for YOU, and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and His INSTRUCTIONS.  It is RELEVANT to your ETERNAL DESTINY.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
