“Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God is indeed God.  He is the faithful God who keeps His Covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes His unfailing love on those who love Him and obey His commands.  But He does not hesitate to punish and destroy those who reject Him.  Therefore, you must obey all these commands, decrees, and regulations I am giving you today.”    Deuteronomy 7:9-11

 

Today, we are looking into a passage of Scripture, that was NOT ONLY for the Nation of Israel, but it is SO APPLICABLE to US, today.  These words were spoken by Moses, to the Nation of Israel as they were getting ready to enter the PROMISE LAND.  Moses wanted the people to UNDERSTAND that there is ONLY ONE TRUE GOD, and He IS indeed GOD.  There is NO OTHER BEING that is like Him.  There NEVER has been nor will there EVER be one like OUR GOD.  

 

Moses, also wanted the people to KNOW that GOD IS FAITHFUL, and He WILL KEEP His COVENANT with them for a THOUSAND GENERATIONS and will LAVISH His UNFAILING LOVE on those who TRULY LOVE HIM and will OBEY His COMMANDS.  Now, I know that Moses was talking to ISRAEL, however, we who are God’s TRUE CHILDREN, because of what JESUS CHRIST has done, in order to SECURE our RELATIONSHIP with God, by SUFFERING, DYING, and being RESURRECTED from DEATH and the GRAVE, in order, to bring us into a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD.  And to SECURE for US an ETERNAL HOME in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, and to be ABLE to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.

 

But, WE TOO have an OBLIGATION to God; to OBEY HIS WORD, and WALK (live) in HIS WAYS.  God is FAITHFUL to ALL His TRUE CHILDREN.  If they will CONFESS their SINS to Him, He will be FAITHFUL and JUST to FORGIVE them of their SINS and to CLEANSE them from ALL WICKEDNESS.  However, if they REJECT Him and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, He will be FAITHFUL to RIGHTLY JUDGE them, and He will NOT HESITATE to PUNISH and DESTROY them because of their DISOBEDIENCE and REJECTION against Him and His Son.  

 

Therefore, if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD, then YOU too will face JUDGMENT and PUNISHMENT.  You will be spending your ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE.  So, in order to CHANGE that destiny, you MUST BE OBEDIENT to Him and His WORD. You MUST COME to Him, through His Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and you MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS, who SUFFERED, BLED, DIED, and was RESURRECTED from DEATH and the GRAVE to give you a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with our Heavenly Father.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And you MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your OLD SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and BE OBEDIENT to Him and His Son, because HE IS FAITHFUL, are YOU FAITHFUL to HIM?  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!   Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

“Father, if You are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from Me.  Yet I want Your Will to be done, not Mine.”   Luke 22:42

 

The other day, I was thinking about our LORD JESUS CHRIST, and how He must have felt concerning the HORRENDOUS SUFFERING, which He was about to experience.  SUFFERING that was SO INTENSE, BRUTAL, and DEADLY, so much so, that it was known to be the WORST kind of HUMAN PUNISHMENT ever administered to a HUMAN BEING, who was sentenced to DEATH by the ROMAN GOVERNMENT.  And the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to KNOW.

 

So, here is what God has given to me, to tell you.  First, let us look at the HUMAN side of JESUS.  We find that He was a baby, born of a Virgin, and that was where the HUMANITY part of our LORD came from. JESUS was ALL HUMAN and ALL GOD, who is ALL SPIRIT.  The very IMPORTANT THING to KNOW is that even though He was all HUMAN, He NEVER committed a SIN, NEVER!  Because, He was ALL GOD, and ALL HOLY, He could NOT SIN.  And that was why JESUS became the PERFECT LAMB of the LIVING GOD, who offered HIMSELF, as the SUPREME SACRIFICE, that would ALLOW mankind to be FORGIVEN of THEIR SINS. 

 

JESUS, SUFFERED and DIED in the place of ALL MANKIND.  He was GOD in the FLESH, and was WILLING to GIVE HIMSELF for the FORGIVENESS of those who SIN against Him.  And to give MANKIND the GIFT of ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, and to ESCAPE an ETERNAL LIFE in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY TO ESCAPE, once you are there. 

 

Since He was ALL MAN, He had FEELINGS like people do.  And in our scripture, we see the FEELING of EXTREME AGONY.  JESUS, the CREATOR of the WORLD, and ALL that is in it, would face DISGRACE, GREAT SORROW, and AGONIZING PAIN, the like of which, mankind has EVER KNOWN.  So, as He was PRAYING in the Garden of GETHSEMANE, He was in GREAT ANGUISH knowing the SUFFERING that He was about to face.  And in His HUMANITY, He wanted to ESCAPE the INTENSE PHYSICAL and SPIRITUAL AGONY, so much so, that He voiced His feelings to the ONLY ONE who could STOP the PLAN of SALVATION, in SUCH a MANNER.  So, Jesus cried out to His Father, “Father, IF you are WILLING, please take this cup of SUFFERING away from ME .  Yet I want YOUR WILL to be done, NOT mine.” 

 

Even though He was DREADING the HORROR that He was FACING, He KNEW that there was NO OTHER WAY, and MORE than ANYTHING He wanted the WILL of the FATHER to be DONE.  JESUS was WILLING to take on ALL the SINS of ALL the WORLD, SINS of the PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE.  JESUS knew that WITHOUT the SHEDDING of BLOOD there cannot be the FORGIVENESS of SINS.  So, His ALL GOD part, won the BATTLE for the SOULS of MANKIND. 

He SUFFERED, BLED, AND DIED, BUT He DIDN’T STAY DEAD, on the THIRD DAY after the CRUCIFIXION, with the ALMIGHTY POWER of the LIVING GOD, CAME OUT OF THE TOMB and HE IS ALIVE, NOW sitting at the RIGHT HAND of the ALMIGHTY GOD, and is INTERCEDING for US.  

 

Have you GIVEN your HEART and LIFE to GOD, through the SHED BLOOD of His ONLY SON, JESUS CHRIST?  If NOT you can do it NOW, if you will first, ADMIT that you are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, who shed His BLOOD for YOU.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for YOU before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS.  The you MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN to GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And you MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, and GAIN an ETERNITY in HEAVEN.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

“The Children Of the Light”

Jesus replied, “My Light will shine for you just a little longer.  Walk in the Light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you.  Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going.  Put your trust in the Light while there is still time; then you will become Children of the Light.”   John 12:35-36

 

The crowd of people, Jesus was speaking to, were confused at what He was saying.  They needed some ENLIGHTENING.  They questioned; “who is this Son of Man?”  And how can you say the Son of Man will die?  It was their understanding that the Messiah would LIVE FOREVER.  So, Jesus replied, “My Light will shine for you just a little longer.”  So, He replied to them that they SHOULD ACCEPT the LIGHT and to WALK or LIVE in the LIGHT while they COULD.  And if they would do this, the DARKNESS would NOT OVERTAKE them.  

 

Jesus said to them:  “I have COME as a LIGHT to shine in this DARK world, so that ALL who put their TRUST in Me will NO LONGER REMAIN in the DARK.” (V46)  We know that when we walk in DARKNESS we CANNOT see where we are going, and there is ALWAYS something in our path that will cause us to STUMBLE and FALL.  Now, we can COME OUT of the DARKNESS by SEEKING the LIGHT and LIVING in the LIGHT (Jesus).   Those who REFUSE to BELIEVE in Christ Jesus, and  desire to REMAIN in the DARKNESS, will be JUDGED, and will be SENTENCED to an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE once they are there.  

 

However, those who COME OUT of the DARKNESS and INTO the LIGHT, and PUT their TRUST in the LIGHT (Jesus) will become the TRUE CHILDREN of the LIGHT.  And they will have ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Notice in our verses for today, Jesus is warning them to RESPOND in OBEDIENCE to Him, telling them that: “His LIGHT will shine for them, just a LITTLE LONGER, He was referring to His DEATH, BURIAL, and RESURRECTION.  He knew that HIS  Ministry, here on earth, WOULD be coming to an END.  And time was running out for those who were remaining in the DARKNESS.  So, He tells them to PUT their TRUST in the LIGHT (Jesus), while they STILL had time.  

 

I BELIEVE, with ALL my HEART that this is a MESSAGE, from the LORD JESUS, to those who are LIVING in the DARKNESS, today, and are content to REMAIN in the DARKNESS, because of their UNBELIEF.  They are ENJOYING living in SIN, and NOT REALIZING that ONE DAY, it will ALL come to an END.  And if you are LIVING in the DARKNESS, having REJECTED GOD’S GIFT of SALVATION, through His ONLY SON, JESUS, ( the ONLY TRUE LIGHT) Who GAVE His LIFE to SAVE your WRETCHED SOUL, from an ETERNITY  in HELL.  There is STILL HOPE for you to COME OUT of the DARKNESS and INTO the LIGHT. But there are some things that you MUST DO to be able to WALK in the LIGHT, and that is:  You MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that HE is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And then be WILLING to COME OUT of the DARKNESS and into the LIGHT, by TURNING AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURNING TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and become a TRUE CHILD of the TRUE LIGHT.  Do this NOW, while there is STILL TIME.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.  For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.    Hebrews 3:13-14

 

One of the main things that is applicable to our churches, other than the WORSHIPPING  of our HEAVENLY FATHER, is to MEET TOGETHER, as ONE BODY of TRUE BELIEVERS, to MINISTER to EACH other.  We should have a LOVE for EACH other that would motivate us to SERVANTHOOD.  We NEED to ENCOURAGE EACH other and NOT be JEALOUS or ENVIOUS of one another.  We SHOULD be WILLING  to WARN EACH other EVERY DAY as long as it is STILL “TODAY”, of the DANGERS and PITFALLS that can cause us to fall into the devil’s traps. 

 

We, as GOD’S Children, should not take to GOSSIPING or SLANDERING others who are weak in their faith, and may have been DECEIVED by SIN and is in DANGER of being HARDENED AGAINST GOD.  We SHOULD show the LOVE of CHRIST to those who are in that situation, by ENCOURAGING them to TURN AWAY FROM the SIN and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And we SHOULD SHOW them, the LOVE of CHRIST by DILIGENTLY PRAYING for them, and to come along beside them, and SUPPORT them as they STRUGGLE through this HARD, DANGEROUS TIME, because you NEVER KNOW what YOU might encounter during these HARD TIMES. 

 

If we are FAITHFUL to the END, and if we will TRUST God, just as STRONGLY or FIRMLY as we did when we FIRST BELIEVED, then we will SHARE in ALL that BELONGS to CHRIST JESUS.  And to be ABLE to do that, YOU MUST BE CHRISTLIKE in your DAILY LIFE, which includes LOVING, ENCOURAGING, PRAYING and CARING for EACH other.  NOT being DECEIVED BY SIN and HARDENED AGAINST GOD.  

 

If you are a Child of God, and you are not ENCOURAGING, PRAYING and CARING for OTHERS in your Church. You are NOT EXEMPLIFYING the LOVE of CHRIST nor being CHRISTLIKE.  And having a CHRISTLIKENESS is the kind of person that God wants you to be.  So, you really NEED to get on your knees, and ASK HIM to HELP you to be EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTS YOU TO BE.  

 

If you have NOT GIVEN your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are DEFINITELY being DECEIVED BY SIN and HARDENED AGAINST GOD.  In order to be FREED from that DECEPTION, and to have a RIGHT STANDING with the ALMIGHTY GOD, you MUST COME to HIM, through His ONLY SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who GAVE His Life to SAVE your WRETCHED SOUL from an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  Here is what you MUST DO to CHANGE THAT DESTINY.  First, you MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before GOD.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING TO FULLY TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then you MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and be NOT DECEIVED BY SIN and HARDENED AGAINST GOD.  But be FREE and ENJOY an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as His Children?  He said, “My Child, don’t make light of the LORD’S Discipline, and don’t give up when He Corrects you.  For the LORD Disciplines those He Loves, and He Punishes each one He Accepts as His Child.    Hebrews 12:5-6

 

In our Scripture today, we are going to try and UNDERSTAND the PURPOSE of CHASTENING.  The Hebrew Believers had FORGOTTEN these ENCOURAGING WORDS from God, their Heavenly Father, when He said:  “My Child don’t make light of the LORD’S Discipline, and DON’T GIVE UP when He CORRECTS you.  For the LORD DISCIPLINES those He LOVES, and He PUNISHES each one He ACCEPTS as His CHILD.”  CHASTENING means to DISCIPLINE and this is a “CHILD -TRAINING DISCIPLINE, and this is NOT PUNISHMENT.  You can look at it as a “DIVINE DISCIPLINE, and REMEMBER that when you come under GOD’S CHASTISEMENT it is because He is treating you as His own CHILD.

 

This is one of God’s Methods of bringing His Children into MATURITY and to get them where they should be, He uses TRIALS, which is a time of SPIRITUAL GROWTH, and LEARNING WHAT the BENEFITS of TRUSTING GOD are and HOW to TRUST Him.  The act of PUNISHMENT is the work of a JUDGE, but CHASTENING or DISCIPLINING is the EVIDENCE of the FATHER’S LOVE, and is given for the BETTERMENT of the CHILD.  Many REBEL against this CHASTISEMENT of the LOVING FATHER, instead of SUBMITTING to His WILL and GROWING in their FAITH. When a Child of God REBELS against the WILL of GOD, they experience SORROW and BITTERNESS in their SOUL.  God’s Discipline is ALWAYS GOOD for us , so that we might share in His Holiness.  No DISCIPLINE is ENJOYABLE while it’s happening—it’s PAINFUL!  But afterward there will be a PEACEFUL HARVEST of RIGHT LIVING for those who are TRAINED in this way.  (Vv 10-11)

 

Some Christians, who are going through trials will GIVE UP and want to QUIT.  But, if they think of all the HOSTILITY, SUFFERING and SHAME that our LORD JESUS CHRIST endured from SINFUL PEOPLE, then they WILL NOT GIVE UP.  But they will PRESS ON toward the JOY that AWAITS them and will  spend ALL of their ETERNITY in HEAVEN.  The CORRECT ATTITUDE is that they will NOT GIVE UP!  But that they will REMEMBER GOD’S ENCOURAGING WORDS, and will ENDURE BY FAITH.  And that they will let the PERFECT PLAN of GOD work in them.  And they SHOULD KEEP their EYES on JESUS, the CHAMPION who INITIATES and PERFECTS their FAITH.  

 

If God doesn’t DISCIPLINE YOU as He does ALL His Children, it means that YOU ARE ILLEGITIMATE and are NOT His CHILD at ALL.  And if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are DEFINITELY NOT one of His, but you belong to the Devil, who will cause YOU to be DISOBEDIENT to GOD and to NOT have an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, but instead YOU will spend your ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE once you are there.  But, part of GOD’S PERFECT PLAN is that NO ONE SHOULD PERISH, but that ALL would come to JESUS for their SALVATION.  The WAY is to FIRST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, who GAVE His Life to SAVE your SOUL from an ETERNITY in HELL.  And you MUST BELIEVE that Jesus DIED for YOU, with ALL YOUR HEART, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  Then you MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and REMEMBER GOD’S ENCOURAGING WORDS.  And DON’T GIVE UP, but PRESS ON to the PRIZE that AWAITS you.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

Then Christ will make His Home in your hearts as you trust in Him.  Your roots will grow down into God’s Love and keep you strong.   Ephesians 3:17

 

In verse sixteen, we see some of the Apostle Paul’s prayer for the TRUE BELIEVER’S Spiritual growth, Paul says:  “I pray that from His Glorious, UNLIMITED resources  He will EMPOWER you with INNER STRENGTH through His Spirit.”  This INNER STRENGTH  means the INNERMOST part of the BELIEVER’S BEING.  This INNER STRENGTH comes from God’s HOLY SPIRIT and it  STRENGTHENS the TRUE BELIEVER to be able to OVERCOME RESISTANCE.  

 

Then Christ will make His HOME in their HEARTS, and ALL of their personality will be INFLUENCED by His Presence, which takes place as they put ALL of their TRUST in Him.  This happens after one’s SALVATION, and it indicates a COMPLETE DESIRE for Christ to already “be at HOME in” their HEART, which means that He has the authority to go into every part and to CLEAN OUT the things that are there, and don’t BELONG there.   And to be DEEPLY ROOTED, indicates that their ROOTS will GROW deep down into God’s LOVE, this is a part of the BELIEVERS being able to possess an INNATE POWER, which is from the HOLY SPIRIT of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  

 

When one wants to KNOW and EXPERIENCE the LOVE and POWER of God, and  they TRUST in Him for their SALVATION, then begins the GROWING PROCESS.  You’re NOT SAVED to WARM a PEW, every Sunday.  God is NOT IMPRESSED with your CHURCH ATTENDANCE, although He WANTS us to gather together and to SHARE with each other WHAT He has DONE and is STILL DOING in our lives.  And to WORSHIP HIM together, as His Family.  We can draw STRENGTH through FELLOWSHIPPING with our Brothers and Sisters in the LORD.  

 

However, some are NOT a part of God’s Family, and are missing out on God’s UNFAILING LOVE.  They have NOT given their HEART and LIFE to GOD.  And they have NO HOPE for an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, but they are DESTINED to an ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once they are there.  If this is your situation, and you are wanting to make a CHANGE, here is what you MUST DO.  First, ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONLY SON, who SUFFERED, BLED, and DIED, then RESURRECTED from the grave, in order to PAY the PRICE for your sins. You MUST BELIEVE that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for YOU, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then you MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and WELCOME CHRIST into YOUR HEART, and HIS HOME.  And ALLOW Him to CLEAN OUT EVERYTHING that NO LONGER BELONGS there. And EXPERIENCE God’s LOVE and POWER.  And have the HOPE of HEAVEN as your ETERNAL HOME.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.   He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

“But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food.  Spend your energy seeking the Eternal Life that the Son of Man can give you.  For God the Father has given Me the Seal of His Approval.”    John 6:27

 

 

This verse of Scripture, is the Words of the Lord Jesus Christ.  He was talking to a crowd of people who had, the day before, watched Jesus turn FIVE barley loaves of bread and two fish that belonged to a young boy, into BASKETS FULL of BREAD and FISH, enough to FEED the HUGE CROWD of PEOPLE that had come to SEE and HEAR this Man, called JESUS.  And not only was there enough food to feed the HUNGRY CROWD, but they had BASKETS FULL left over.  

 

The next day, the crowd showed up again, and when they found Jesus, on the other side of the lake, they asked Him;  “Rabbi, when did you get here?”  Jesus replied, “ I tell you the truth, you want to be with Me because I fed you not because you understood the miraculous signs.”  To them it was an easy way to get a meal.  And they FAILED to grasp what the significance was with the miraculous signs.  So the message Jesus gave them was:  DON’T be SO CONCERNED about perishable things like FOOD.  He was saying that they SHOULD NOT expend their ENERGY and EFFORTS on the PERISHABLE things, but they SHOULD spend their ENERGY and EFFORTS SEEKING the things THAT will LAST FOREVER.  The SPIRITUAL things that will lead them to ETERNAL LIFE.

 

PHYSICAL FOOD does NOT LAST, but SPIRITUAL FOOD is ETERNAL.  And ONLY the Son of Man, which is a title that JESUS used for Himself, can give you this SPIRITUAL FOOD, which is JESUS CHRIST, Himself.  JESUS is the BREAD of LIFE, a DIFFERENT KIND of BREAD, to EAT this BREAD, actually means to BELIEVE on the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and to CONTINUALLY TRUST in Him to SUSTAIN YOU.  It is, to COME to Him for your SALVATION, and to SEE Him,  For it is the Father’s Will that ALL who SEES His Son and BELIEVES in Him SHOULD have ETERNAL LIFE. (V40).  This means they COULD have ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN.  This is why GOD the FATHER has given JESUS CHRIST His SEAL of APPROVAL.  And that makes it OFFICIAL:  JESUS is the HEAVENLY FOOD!!   Have you partaken of this HEAVENLY FOOD?  

 

If you have NOT COME to HIM and SEEN HIM, and BELIEVE in HIM, then you do not have the SPIRITUAL FOOD that you NEED to receive ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, and to ESCAPE an ETERNAL LIFE in HELL with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE once you are there.  In order to PARTAKE of this HEAVENLY FOOD, you MUST be CALLED by God’s HOLY SPIRIT, to COME to CHRIST and to GIVE your HEART and LIFE to Him.  You MUST BELIEVE that He is the SON of GOD and the ONLY WAY to HAVE ETERNAL LIFE is THROUGH Him.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that JESUS died for YOU.  And that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  YOU MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and PARTAKE of this HEAVENLY FOOD, because it is the ONLY WAY to have ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN.  And it DOES have GOD’S SEAL of APPROVAL!  So, do this NOW, while you STILL can, because He is WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

Therefore He is able, once and forever to save those who come to God through Him.  He Lives forever to intercede with God in their behalf.   Hebrews 7:25

 

This part of Hebrews is speaking to the TRUE BELIEVERS, this is NOT talking about being DELIVERED from your SINS, and FORGIVENESS, but it is talking to the believers who are facing TRIALS and ADVERSITIES. The author of the Book of Hebrews, (who I believe to be the Apostle Paul), is talking about being DELIVERED FROM and THROUGH these TRIALS and ADVERSITIES, which come our way, in the time in which we are living, we are facing some UNCERTAIN times, and this Scripture is ENCOURAGING to the TRUE BELIEVERS of this day and time.  

 

Jesus Christ, who is our PERMANENT PRIEST, is ABLE to SAVE those who belong to God through Him, and His SACRIFICIAL ACT of REDEMPTION.  He is ABLE to COMPLETELY SAVE us ONCE and FOREVER.  He is NEVER TOO BUSY to DELIVER us.  He is FOREVER INTERCEDING on OUR BEHALF, which means He is the FOREVER MEDIATOR between US and God, and to bring RECONCILIATION between US and GOD.  

 

Now, your DELIVERANCE is connected with your OBEDIENCE, and your RELATIONSHIP with the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  James 4:8, tells us to:  “Come close to God, and God will come close to you. So, when you are in NEED of DELIVERANCE, from your circumstances, if you will come CLOSE to God, through your PRAYERS, He WILL COME CLOSE to you. One very IMPORTANT THING to REMEMBER about this DELIVERANCE, is there are two parts, first is: DELIVERANCE FROM your trial or circumstance, which is when God takes you OUT of the circumstance.  And the second one is: DELIVERANCE THROUGH the trial or circumstance. Instead of REMOVING you, He walks with you THROUGH it.  A good example is with the three Hebrew fellows, when Nebuchadnezzar threw them into the FIERY furnace, and Jesus joined them and DELIVERED them THROUGH it. ( Daniel 3:1-30)   Now, do YOU have access to the PERMANENT HIGH PRIEST, who is ABLE TO DELIVER YOU?

 

If you have NOT come to JESUS for your REDEMPTION, and the FORGIVENESS of your SINS, then you DO NOT have that ACCESS.  You MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONLY SON, who SUFFERED, BLED and DIED, then RESURRECTED, for your SALVATION.  And that you will be able to spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, and to be ABLE to ESCAPE HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE once you are there.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making INTERCESSION for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then you MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and allow JESUS to be YOUR PERMANENT HIGH PRIEST, who is ABLE to DELIVER you FROM or THROUGH EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

“Experience God’s Peace”

“Experience God’s Peace”

 

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.  Then you will experience God’s Peace, which exceeds anything we can understand, His Peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.   Philippians 4:6-7

 

 

We are living in DIFFICULT times that could become even more DIFFICULT, and we are faced with MANY UNCERTAINTIES, which can bring about ANXIETY and WORRY, however, the Apostle Paul, in his letter to the TRUE BELIEVERS in Philippi, writes to them with this message:  “Always be full of JOY in the LORD.  I say it again —-REJOICE!  Let everyone see that you are CONSIDERATE in ALL you do.  REMEMBER, the LORD is COMING SOON.” (V-4-5). And then the instructions, he gave them, concerning the times they were facing, he told them:  “Don’t WORRY about ANYTHING; instead PRAY about EVERYTHING. Tell God what you NEED, and THANK Him for ALL He has done.” 

 

WORRY is probably what many of us experience, a lot, and yes, I too WORRY about things that COULD happen, and MOSTLY they DON’T.  But, now, the Apostle Paul says for us to be: “ALWAYS FULL of JOY in the LORD?  And to let EVERYONE see that we are CONSIDERATE or GENTLE in ALL we do.  Because, the LORD JESUS is COMING SOON.  Now, the JOY and GENTLENESS along with the KNOWLEDGE that JESUS CHRIST is COMING SOON, should dispel the ANXIETY we may experience.  We SHOULD NOT be ANXIOUS about ANYTHING, but we SHOULD PRAY about EVERYTHING.  And we SHOULD tell God what we are in NEED of, and then THANK Him for ALL that He has DONE.  When we pray this way it indicates that we are putting our TRUST in the ALMIGHTY GOD.  And once we do this, we NEED to LEAVE it in GOD’S HANDS. 

 

To have a GENUINE CONCERN for the matters that you may encounter, is ONE THING, and WORRYING is another thing all together.  In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus warns about WORRYING.  He asks: “Can all your WORRIES ADD a SINGLE moment to your LIFE?” (V27), “Why do you have so LITTLE FAITH?” (V30), So don’t WORRY about TOMORROW, for TOMORROW will bring its own WORRIES.  TODAY’S TROUBLE is ENOUGH for TODAY.” (V34).  Instead of WORRYING, we SHOULD SEEK the KINGDOM of GOD ABOVE ALL ELSE, and LIVE RIGHTEOUSLY, and He will give us EVERYTHING we NEED. (V33).

 

When we PRAY and LIVE RIGHTEOUSLY, then we will be ABLE to EXPERIENCE GOD’S PEACE.

Romans 5:1 says:  “Therefore, since we have been made RIGHT in God’s Sight by FAITH, we HAVE PEACE with GOD because of what JESUS CHRIST our LORD has done for us.”  On  CALVARY, where He WILLINGLY LAID down HIS LIFE to SAVE our SINFUL SOULS, He PAID the PRICE, that NO ONE ELSE could pay.  And because of this we can EXPERIENCE GOD’S PEACE, a PEACE that EXCEEDS ANYTHING we are able to UNDERSTAND.  This PEACE will GUARD our HEARTS and MINDS as we LIVE IN CHRIST JESUS.  Have you GIVEN your HEART and LIFE to God, through the REDEMPTIVE WORK of His ONLY Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST?
