“Overflowing Redemption “

 “Overflowing Redemption”

O ISRAEL, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is unfailing love.  His Redemption overflows.  He Himself will redeem ISRAEL from every kind of sin.    Psalm 130:7-8

When reading this scripture, everywhere you see the name “ISRAEL” replace it with YOUR NAME.  I believe that we can read this, this way:  “O (your name), hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is UNFAILING LOVE.  His REDEMPTION OVERFLOWS.  He Himself will REDEEM (your name) from EVERY KIND of SIN.  This makes this verse PERSONAL.  And it should, because God is TRULY a PERSONAL GOD.  He GENUINELY CARES for EVERYONE, and it is His desire that no one should PERISH, but that ALL should come to the SAVING KNOWLEDGE of JESUS CHRIST, and ACCEPT Him as their SAVIOR and LORD. And be REDEEMED from EVERY KIND of SIN.

God’s REDEMPTION OVERFLOWS with His MERCY and GRACE.  Without His MERCY and GRACE we ALL would be without HOPE.  But, because of His UNFAILING LOVE, we are able to receive MERCY:  Not receiving what we deserve, AND GRACE:  receiving what we DON’T deserve, which is HIS OVERFLOWING REDEMPTION.  And it is all made POSSIBLE through the SHED BLOOD of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, the ONE who GAVE His life, so we might be able to have GOD’S FORGIVENESS and an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN.  Do you possess His OVERFLOWING REDEMPTION?

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD, through the REDEEMING WORK of His BLESSED SON, JESUS CHRIST, then you do NOT POSSESS His OVERFLOWING REDEMPTION, but you are headed for an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there. In order to receive this OVERFLOWING REDEMPTION, you MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  And you MUST BELIEVE that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN to GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and His OVERFLOWING REDEMPTION, and spend your ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  You don’t want to be LEFT BEHIND!!!

So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now, rather,  we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen.  For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last FOREVER.   2 Corinthians 4:18

Many people focus on EARTHLY THINGS, so much that they become consumed with those things. They let them become so IMPORTANT and have such a STRONG hold on their lives that they put ALL their FAITH and HOPE in ONLY those things that they can see.  And in some instances they become TROUBLES, which will rob a TRUE BELIEVER of their JOY.  

The Apostle Paul tells us that we NEED to FIX our gaze or FOCUS on the SPIRITUAL THINGS, those things that CANNOT be SEEN.  Because the EARTHLY THINGS, those that CAN be SEEN will soon go AWAY, but the SPIRITUAL THINGS, those that CANNOT be SEEN will LAST FOREVER.  As TRUE BELIEVERS, we LIVE by FAITH and NOT by SIGHT.  It is FAITH in the LORD GOD, ALMIGHTY, that enables us to SEE those UNSEEN things of God. Those UNSEEN THINGS that will LAST FOREVER.  They are the things that helps us to LIVE according to the WORD of the LIVING GOD.  And they help us to FOCUS on our ETERNAL LIFE with the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who gave His Life to SAVE mankind from an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once they are there.  What do you have your gaze FIXED on, the SEEN or the UNSEEN?

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to the LORD GOD, then you cannot FOCUS on the UNSEEN, SPIRITUAL THINGS, the THINGS that will LAST FOREVER, but you can ONLY FOCUS on the SEEN things that will NOT LAST, and they will NOT HELP you spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  In order to FOCUS on the UNSEEN,  SPIRITUAL THINGS, and to spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, you MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  And you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and FOCUS on the UNSEEN SPIRITUAL THINGS that will LAST FOREVER!!!  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON.  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time.  He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.  Ecclesiastes 3:11

The writer of Ecclesiastes tells us that God’s Plans for mankind, is BEAUTIFUL, or APPROPRIATE for its own time.  In other words God in HIS PLANS, and CONTROL has a PROPER time for EVERY ACTIVITY.   And in considering the specific time frames, we can KNOW that  for EVERYTHING there is a season, a time for EVERY ACTIVITY under Heaven. (V 1)  This is because of God’s PROVIDENTIAL PLANS for ALL of mankind.

The ALMIGHTY GOD has PLANTED ETERNITY in the HUMAN HEART.  And people are naturally curious about what their SIGNIFICANCE is in all of their ACTIVITIES and PLANS.  Just where do they fit into the SCOPE of things?  But even though God has PLANTED ETERNITY in the HUMAN HEART, mankind still cannot comprehend the WHOLE SCOPE of GOD’S Work from the BEGINNING to the END.  They WORK HARD and LONG for things that are TEMPORAL, yet they do NOT consider the ETERNAL THINGS of God.  If mankind would spend as much time in PREPARING for ETERNITY, as they do for EARTHLY,TEMPORAL things, they could face ETERNITY with ASSURANCE and PEACE in their HEARTS, and be UNASHAMED of their service for God.

In order to be PREPARED for ETERNITY, and to have that ASSURANCE and PEACE in your HEART, there are some VERY IMPORTANT things you MUST DO.  First, you MUST ADMIT that you are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONLY SON, who GAVE His Life, to SAVE your life from an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its, HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  Then you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  And you MUST CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS. You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL life-style and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and begin to PREPARE for YOUR ETERNITY, through SEEKING OUT God’s PLAN for YOU.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON.  DON’T BE LEFT BEHIND!!! 

 

“TRUST in the LORD”

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding.  Seek His Will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.    Proverbs 3: 5-6

All the WISDOM that mankind may acquire, is still inadequate in replacing the NEED for a FULL TRUST in GOD’S SUPERIOR Ways.  His WAYS go far beyond the UNDERSTANDING of mankind.  The insights of mankind are INSUFFICIENT when it comes to UNDERSTANDING the SUPERNATURAL WAYS of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  His ways are BEYOND the COMPREHENSION of mankind’s UNDERSTANDING.  So, who better to TRUST ? Your OWN UNDERSTANDING, or the SUPERIOR WAYS of the ALL KNOWING, ALL POWERFUL GOD who CREATED this UNIVERSE and EVERYTHING in it? 

If you are a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD, then you SHOULD SEEK HIS WILL in ALL you do.  When you SEEK His WILL in ALL you do, and TRUST HIS HAND, then He will LEAD you to the RIGHT PATH and will, for the most part, make your pathway STRAIGHT.  He may remove the OBSTACLES that would hinder your JOURNEY, and even make a SMOOTHER way of LIFE, in bringing you to your appointed goal.  The goal of spending ALL of ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, and ESCAPING an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.   

However, for the UNBELIEVER, you cannot put your TRUST in the ALMIGHTY GOD, because you do NOT have a RELATIONSHIP with Him.  You are NOT HIS CHILD, because of your UNBELIEF.  So, your DESTINY is an ETERNITY in HELL, unless you are WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, GOD’S ONLY SON, who gave His LIFE to SAVE your soul, from that DESTINY.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU.  And that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  Then you MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, and TRUST in the LORD with ALL your HEART.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOONER than you think!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!    

“Committing and Trusting”

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will act, making your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like the noonday.   Psalm 37:5-6

Some of the HARDEST things for people to do is to COMMIT themselves to SOMEONE or SOMETHING.  The other thing is to TRUST in SOMEONE or SOMETHING.  Having said that, it is even HARDER to COMMIT to and TRUST in SOMEONE we cannot SEE with our physical eyes, namely GOD.   Yet, the Psalmist, King David, encourages us to do just that.  Mainly, because he KNEW that if the TRUE BELIEVER would COMMIT their way (LIFE) to the ALMIGHTY GOD, He would respond POSITIVELY.  And when they COMMIT if they would then TRUST Him, He would act on their behalf. 

There are times when we are faced with adversities, and life is anything but pleasant, we may face SLANDER, and MISUNDERSTANDINGS, that are used against us to mar or destroy our witness as a Child of the LIVING GOD.  But when we COMMIT our SELVES to HIM, He will make our RIGHTEOUSNESS, ( our RIGHT RELATIONSHIP) with Him to SHINE like the dawn.  And He will dispel all the accusations and allegations that have caused pain and heartache.   And in putting your TRUST in Him, He will also make your JUSTICE, (your moral rightness) like the noonday.  He will bring ALL things into the LIGHT and PROVE your RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTIFICATION, to be ACCEPTABLE in His SIGHT!

GOD takes CARE of His CHILDREN, make NO MISTAKE about that.  He will see them through the HARD times, and will ALWAYS BE FAITHFUL to them, because of His UNFAILING LOVE, AMAZING GRACE and His ABUNDANT MERCY.  Are you a CHILD of the LIVING GOD?  Have you given your HEART and LIFE to Him?  And if you have, are you COMMITTED to Him and do you TRUST in His ALL SUSTAINING POWER to get you through the HARD TIMES, with your RIGHTEOUSNESS SHINING as the dawn, and your JUSTICE as the noonday? 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are really living a DEFEATED LIFE, because you have NO HOPE for ETERNITY.  And that means that your DESTINY will be an ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY TO ESCAPE, once you are there. UNLESS, you TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, by:  ADMITTING that you are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONLY SON, who GAVE His life to give you an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  And you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God. You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, and COMMIT and TRUST in Him for your ETERNAL LIFE  with JESUS in HEAVEN.  So, do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOONER than you think!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!! 

“The RAPTURE”

For the Lord Himself will come down from Heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the Trumpet Call of God.  First, the Believers who have died will rise from their graves.  Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  Then we will be with the Lord FOREVER.  So encourage each other with these words.    1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

The EVENT that ALL Christendom is waiting for, and with GREAT ANTICIPATION!  We, the TRUE BELIEVERS, those who have given their HEARTS and LIVES to the ALMIGHTY GOD, through HIS SALVATION PROCESS, will be CAUGHT-UP in the AIR, which means to be SNATCHED UP or  to CATCH AWAY SPEEDILY and there will be NO WARNING or SIGNS that will indicate when this will happen.  It could happen in the very next minute.   ARE YOU READY?

However, for those who are NOT TRUE BELIEVERS, who have NOT given their HEARTS and LIVES to the ALMIGHTY GOD, through the SALVATION PROCESS, they will REMAIN on EARTH, and they WILL experience the WORST of TIMES that anyone can imagine.  That is, if they SURVIVE the effects of the RAPTURE, which will be CATASTROPHIC, with the TRUE BELIEVERS disappearing from their cars, planes, trains, and other modes of transportation, doctors and nurses, along with patients, even the NEWBORN BABIES disappearing from the hospitals, partial families disappearing, young children, and parents that are SAVED.  PEOPLE from EVERY walk of life that are SAVED will GO, but those who are UNBELIEVERS will be LEFT BEHIND, and will SUFFER through, if they SURVIVE, what is known as the time of TRIBULATION and GREAT TRIBULATION.  If you SURVIVE, you may have the opportunity to be SAVED through the TRIBULATION PERIOD, BUT you will, more than likely have to GIVE up your LIFE, to become a TRUE BELIEVER.  ARE YOU READY?

So, the time to be SAVED, is NOW, while you STILL CAN.  God’s SALVATION PROCESS is this:  You MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONLY SON, who GAVE HIS LIFE in order to SAVE YOU from an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, after you are there.  You MUST BELIEVE that JESUS died for YOU and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before GOD.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART. And you MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION and be one of the TRUE BELIEVERS, who will GO in the RAPTURE, and be with the LORD JESUS CHRIST in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, FOREVER!!   Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  And ENCOURAGE others to do the SAME, then ENCOURAGE EACH other, with this MESSAGE:  “JESUS IS COMING BACK!!!” ARE YOU READY??  OR will you be LEFT BEHIND???    He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

  

“Confident Hope”

We were given this hope when we were saved.  (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)    Romans 8:24-25

As Children of the Living God, we should be WAITING PATIENTLY with EAGER HOPE for the day when God will give us our FULL RIGHTS as His ADOPTED Children.  These FULL RIGHTS includes NEW and PERFECT bodies, without SIN and SUFFERING.  We will FINALLY be SET FREE from the WRETCHED bondage of SIN and the CONDEMNATION of SPIRITUAL DEATH, which brings with it an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  Instead, we are PROMISED an ETERNITY in HEAVEN with all its BLESSINGS.  This is the CONFIDENT HOPE we are EAGERLY WAITING FOR.   We were given this CONFIDENT HOPE when we were SAVED.  

If we ALREADY have something, then we don’t NEED to HOPE for it. But if we LOOK FORWARD to something we DO NOT YET have, we MUST WAIT PATIENTLY and CONFIDENTLY.  And we do NOT yet have the FULL RIGHTS  as God’s ADOPTED CHILDREN, because we do NOT have those NEW BODIES. So, we are EAGERLY WAITING for that DAY when JESUS CHRIST, will come and RAPTURE God’s Children from this SIN-DRENCHED world and will give us NEW and PERFECT BODIES, which will be FREE from SIN, SUFFERING, and DEATH.  WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE!!!

But, if you are NOT a TRUE CHILD of GOD, a TRUE BELIEVER, but you are one who has NOT given their HEART and LIFE to God, then you are DESTINED for an ETERNAL LIFE in HELL with ALL its HORRORS.  You will NOT HAVE that CONFIDENT HOPE, but you will receive JUDGMENT of your sins, and you will receive your ETERNAL SENTENCE of an ETERNITY in HELL.  However, you DO have the OPPORTUNITY NOW to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFE-STYLE, and with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, TURN TO GOD.  You do that by:  ADMITTING that you are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who GAVE His LIFE to SAVE YOUR SOUL.  You MUST BELIEVE that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  Then you MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and with CONFIDENT HOPE receive the FULL RIGHTS as God’s ADOPTED CHILD, and spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  DON’T BE LEFT BEHIND!!!

“Wonderful Grace”

But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s Gracious Gift .  For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many.  But even greater is God’s Wonderful Grace and His Gift of Forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.    Romans 5:15

GRACE is the process of mankind receiving what they DO NOT DESERVE, which is REDEMPTION and ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS, which is made POSSIBLE through the SHED BLOOD of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONE and ONLY Son. 

The GREAT DIFFERENCE between ADAM’S SIN and GOD’S GIFT is:  Adam’s sin brought CONDEMNATION and SPIRITUAL DEATH, with an ETERNAL LIFE in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  But God’s Gracious Gift along with His Gift of REDEMPTION, brings FORGIVENESS of ALL our SINS, and an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, through the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  Even through we are GUILTY of MANY SINS, GOD’S WONDERFUL GRACE and His GIFT of RIGHTEOUSNESS  will be VICTORIOUS over SIN and DEATH through JESUS CHRIST, to ALL who will RECEIVE it.

IF you have NOT received God’s WONDERFUL GIFT of GRACE, you are STILL under  CONDEMNATION  and are deemed GUILTY.  But you have the OPPORTUNITY NOW, to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL life-style and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And RECEIVE His WONDERFUL GRACE.  You can do that by:  ADMITTING that you are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, who died on an OLD RUGGED CROSS, to bring you this GIFT of     WONDERFUL GRACE.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that HE is the ONLY ONE who can give you this WONDERFUL GRACE. And that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s WONDERFUL GRACE, and His GIFT of SALVATION, in order to have ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN.  So, do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!   

“Temporary Freedom and Eternal Freedom”

So Christ has TRULY set us FREE.  Now make sure that you stay free and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the laws.  Galatians 5:1

A few days ago we celebrated the BIRTHDAY of our Nation, and when we reflect on the SACRIFICES, and the PRICES paid to ensure the AMERICAN CITIZENS would be FREE from tyranny and oppression from the CONTROL of  GOVERNMENT.  And that they should have certain UNALIENABLE RIGHTS.  We realize that we have been BLESSED by the ALMIGHTY GOD, and give Him ALL PRAISE for He is CERTAINLY WORTHY.  

But I have heard some say that we are ONLY as FREE as the GOVERNMENT wants us to be.  And maybe there is some truth to that, but I can tell you that these FREEDOMS that we have been allowed to have, and that was provided THROUGH BLOOD that was SPILT and LIVES SACRIFICED in order for us to ENJOY them, are TEMPORARY FREEDOMS.  They can be taken away from us, bit by bit.  However, the ETERNAL FREEDOM that we can POSSESS, is a FREEDOM from SIN, and its CONSEQUENCES, and the FREEDOM to ESCAPE the ETERNAL SUFFERING from the HORRORS of HELL, and to possess the ETERNAL BLESSINGS of HEAVEN.  

This ETERNAL FREEDOM was secured for the TRUE BELIEVER, by the SUFFERING, and the SHED BLOOD of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, so that the TRUE BELIEVERS MIGHT HAVE the HOPE of HEAVEN, which is God’s PROMISE to ALL His Children, those who have come to Him for the SALVATION of their SOULS.  And GOD is a PROMISE-KEEPER.  This ETERNAL FREEDOM they have in CHRIST, can NOT be taken AWAY from them.  Their names have been SIGNED in the BOOK of LIFE, they are SEALED by the HOLY SPIRIT of the ALMIGHTY GOD, and ONE DAY SOON they will be DELIVERED to their ETERNAL HOME, HEAVEN.  So, I guess we could say they are the SIGNED, SEALED, and SOON to be DELIVERED Children of the LIVING GOD.   Wouldn’t you like to HAVE that ETERNAL FREEDOM?

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, you can NOW, by:  ADMITTING that you are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONLY SON, who SHED His BLOOD, and gave His LIFE for the SALVATION of MANKIND.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS DIED for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL life-style, and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And you MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and RECEIVE His ETERNAL FREEDOM and an ETERNAL HOME in HEAVEN.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing:  Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the Heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.                   Philippians 3:13-14

The Apostle Paul looked at the Christian Life as a RACE, to be run with a STRONG ABIDING FAITH, a STEADFAST HOPE, and a DETERMINED PERSEVERANCE in reaching the GOAL that God has set before us.  That GOAL is having FULL ETERNAL CHRISTLIKENESS, which is through our spiritual GROWTH and our PROGRESSION in CHRIST JESUS, and this GOAL is ONLY POSSIBLE in its FULLNESS when we REACH our ETERNAL HEAVENLY DESTINATION.  

Paul tells us that we NEED to stay FOCUSED on ONE THING:  FORGETTING the PAST, what he means is to FORGET our PAST SINS and FAILURES, even our PAST MINDSET on worldly accomplishments.  We NEED to LET GO of the PAST and PRESS ON towards the GOAL that is before us.  We MUST be HONEST with ourselves and THINK about where we are in this RACE.  The Apostle Paul tells us that he has NOT achieved the GOAL, but he is FOCUSING on what lies ahead of him, and KEEPING HIS eyes on the GOAL, he PRESSES ON until the END of the RACE, and the time he will RECEIVE this HEAVENLY PRIZE for which God, through CHRIST JESUS has called him and is STILL CALLING ALL of HIS Children.  

For the UNBELIEVER, there is NO RACE, but their DESTINY is AN ETERNAL LIFE in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE once they are there.   It’s NOT too LATE for them to ENTER the RACE and for them to LET GO and PRESS ON towards the GOAL and RECEIVE their HEAVENLY PRIZE.  In order to get in the RACE, they MUST ADMIT that they are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, who SUFFERED, BLED, and DIED, then RESURRECTED by God, in order to SAVE a LOST and DYING world.  They MUST BELIEVE that JESUS died for THEM, personally, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for them before God.  They MUST CONFESS their sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  They MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM their sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  They MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and LET GO of the PAST, and PRESS ON toward that HEAVENLY GOAL. If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God you MUST DO the above, in order to RECEIVE that HEAVENLY PRIZE.  So, do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!
