“The Potter and the Clay”

 

Then the LORD gave me this message:  “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay?  As the clay is in the potter’s hand so are you in My Hand.”   Jeremiah 18:5-6

 

The are many verses of Scripture, that tells us about the relationship between the POTTER and his CLAY.  In Isaiah 64:6, Isaiah says:  “We are all infected and impure with sin.  When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags.  Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.” Verse 7, “Yet no one calls on Your Name or pleads with You for mercy.  Therefore, You have turned away from us and turned us over to our sins.”  Verse 8:  “And yet O Lord , You are our Father.  We are the CLAY and YOU are the POTTER.  We are FORMED by Your Hand.”

 

 

In Isaiah 29:16,  the Prophet Isaiah says:  “How foolish can you be?  He is the Potter, and He is certainly GREATER than you, the CLAY!  Should the CREATED thing say of the One who made it, “He didn’t make me”?  Does a jar ever say, “The Potter who made me is stupid”?  When mankind sets out making their OWN plans, without God, it is a REJECTION of God as their CREATOR. And it brings into play, the fact that it is a QUESTIONING of the SOVEREIGNTY of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  This LOWLY, CLUMP of CLAY is NOT EQUAL to the DIVINE POTTER, their CREATOR.  

 

God told the Prophet Jeremiah, to go to a Potter’s shop and that He would speak to him there .  So, Jeremiah did as God had told him, and he found the potter working at his wheel.  But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay  again and started over.  And God gave Jeremiah a message for Israel:  “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay?  As the clay was in the potter’s hand, so are YOU in My Hand.   Even though, Israel was DISOBEDIENT to GOD, and facing SEVERE JUDGMENT, God was giving them a chance to TURN AWAY from their SINFUL WAYS and TURN TO HIM, with a TRUE  REPENTANT HEART, and to do what was RIGHT.   But the people replied to Jeremiah,  “Don’t waste your breath.  We will continue to live as we want to, stubbornly following our OWN evil desires.”(v12)

 

God is the DIVINE POTTER, and we are the CLAY.  We are being SHAPED into a USEFUL VESSEL for the DIVINE POTTER’S use.  And for those who REJECT God and His Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and live in DISOBEDIENCE to His WILL, they are like the jar the potter was making, and it did not TURN out RIGHT, as the POTTER had hoped for.  So, he took the jar and CRUSHED it into a lump of clay again and started over. And like the nation of ISRAEL, God is giving you a CHANCE to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFULNESS, and TURN TO HIM, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART. 

 

You MUST ADMIT that you are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  And you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS. Then be WILLING to TURN AWAY from your SINFUL LIFE-STYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and let the DIVINE POTTER MOLD and MAKE you after His Will.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  And ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  And RECEIVE an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

We Know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives.  We are no longer slaves to sin.  For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.  And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with Him.        Romans 6:6-8

 

In Galatians 5:1, the Apostle Paul tells us that, Jesus has TRULY SET US FREE.  Now make sure that you STAY FREE, and DON’T get tied up again in SLAVERY to the law.  The Law was given to SHOW our SINFULNESS.  It does NOT have the POWER to SAVE man from the CONTROL of SIN or the POWER that SIN has over them.  The FREEDOM from SIN comes to us through the REDEMPTIVE WORK of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who SUFFERED, BLED and DIED to PAY the PENALTY for SIN.  And FOREVER BREAKING the POWER of SIN over those who BELONG to Him.  

 

Through that REDEMPTIVE WORK of the LORD JESUS CHRIST the TRUE BELIEVER has FREEDOM from the CONTROL of SIN.  Sin is POWERLESS and NO LONGER has POWER nor CONTROL in the life of the BELIEVER.  As a Believer, you MUST ACCEPT your  CHRISTIAN IDENTITY, and don’t let your former lifestyle drag you BACK to the POWER and CONTROL of the SINS, which made you a SLAVE to its POWER.  

 

When you TRULY gave your HEART and LIFE to CHRIST, you TURNED AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and the BONDS, which KEPT you in your SINS, FELL AWAY, POWERLESS to KEEP you. And you were SET FREE because your OLD SINFUL SELF was CRUCIFIED with CHRIST.  Our verse tells us that:  “We are NO LONGER SLAVES to SIN.  For when we DIED with CHRIST we were SET FREE from the POWER of SIN.  And since we died with CHRIST, we KNOW we will also LIVE with HIM. The TRUE BELIEVER still commits sins, but those sins are CONFESSED to God, the Father, and they NO LONGER have CONTROL in the TRUE BELIEVER’S LIFE, because they are DEAD to their SINS.

 

If you have NOT GIVEN your HEART and LIFE to GOD, through the REDEMPTIVE WORK of His Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, then you are STILL living in SLAVERY, because of your SINFUL LIFESTYLE.  Your SINS have POWER and DOMINION over you, and will give you a HORRIBLE, ETERNAL DESTINY.  If you CONTINUE to LIVE in this SINFUL LIFESTYLE, then you will spend your ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  In order to be SET FREE FROM this scenario, and to be able to spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, you MUST ADMIT that you are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  And you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that JESUS DIED for YOU, and that He is ALIVE Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and BE SET FREE and NO LONGER A SLAVE!!  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

And Christ did not enter Heaven to offer Himself again and again, like the High Priest here on earth who enters the Most Holy Place year after year with the blood of an animal.  If that had been necessary, Christ would have had to die again and again.  But now, once for all time, He has appeared at the end of the age to remove sin by His own death as a sacrifice.             Hebrews 9:25-26

 

In Old Testament times, the High Priest would enter the Tabernacle with the BLOOD of ANIMALS that was offered for the Priest and for the sins that the people committed in ignorance.  In other words, the Old Testament sacrifices could cleanse the OUTSIDE of a person, yet it was NOT SUFFICIENT to CLEANSE the CONSCIENCE on the INSIDE.  Only the BLOOD of CHRIST can CLEANSE our CONSCIENCES.  The BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST, the HOLY SON of the LIVING GOD, can give you a BATH on the INSIDE, and you will be able to have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD.

 

This ONCE for ALL TIME SACRIFICE, the BLOOD of JESUS is MORE than SUFFICIENT to COVER ALL SIN for ALL TIME.  He doesn’t have to OFFER Himself AGAIN and AGAIN, if that were the case then His BLOOD wouldn’t be any better than that of the animal sacrifices.  And He would have to DIE AGAIN and AGAIN.  

 

But NOW, He appeared at the END of the Old Testament age to REMOVE the SINS of MANKIND by His OWN ONCE FOR ALL TIME SACRIFICE.  Jesus Christ did not go into the earthly sanctuary, but He went into HEAVEN to appear in the PRESENCE of the HOLY GOD to secure for us the ABILITY to have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with God our HEAVENLY FATHER.  And just as each person is destined to die ONCE and after that comes JUDGMENT, so also Christ was OFFERED ONCE FOR ALL TIME as a SACRIFICE to take away the SINS of MANY people.  He WILL COME AGAIN, not to deal with our sins, but to bring SALVATION to ALL who are EAGERLY waiting for Him.  (Vv27-28)    

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are putting your ETERNITY at RISK of spending it in HELL with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  But because of the ONCE FOR ALL TIME SACRIFICE, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, you can CHANGE that DESTINY to, being able to spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS.  This is what you MUST DO to secure your place in HEAVEN: You MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  And you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART. Then you MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, because of His ONCE FOR ALL TIME SACRIFICE, JESUS CHRIST.  So, do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  DON’T BE LEFT BEHIND!!!

Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge!  How impossible it is for us to understand His decisions and His ways!   Romans 11:33

 

The word “GLORY” means heavy in weight.  To give GLORY is to PRAISE and to RECOGNIZE the IMPORTANCE of another.  In the Book of Psalms, people are encouraged to give God the GLORY, because of His GODNESS, which gives Him IMPORTANCE and WEIGHT in relationship with those who WORSHIP Him.

 

He is SO UNMATCHED, that NOBODY can KNOW His thoughts, nor do they have the WISDOM to give Him ADVICE.  And I for one, am GLAD for that fact.  God is the CREATOR of ALL THINGS that has EVER been CREATED.  And in His GREAT WISDOM and ABILITY to CREATE ALL things, He HAS the KNOWLEDGE and POWER to CONTROL His CREATION.  He TRULY IS the ALMIGHTY GOD.  And ONLY He can provide a WAY for MANKIND to be SAVED from their sins and the ETERNAL PUNISHMENT of those SINS.  God became flesh, in the form of GOD THE SON, JESUS CHRIST, and He dwelt among MANKIND.  God’s UNFAILING LOVE and FAITHFULNESS came through JESUS CHRIST.  No one has ever seen God.  But the UNIQUE ONE , who is HIMSELF GOD, is NEAR to the Father’s HEART. And in Him ALONE is the REDEMPTION of MANKIND.  

 

There is NOTHING you can offer Him that would put Him in your DEBT.  He already OWNS EVERYTHING.  For EVERYTHING comes from Him and EXISTS by His POWER and is intended for His GLORY.  ALL GLORY TO HIM FOREVER!!

 

If you have NEVER given your HEART and LIFE to the ALMIGHTY GOD, then you are putting your ETERNITY at RISK.  It doesn’t matter who you are, RICH, POOR, EDUCATED, UNEDUCATED, or whether you HOLD a PRESTIGIOUS  position in your part of this world, if you have NOT come to GOD through the BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST, His Son, then you are DESTINED to SPEND your ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE once you are there.  But God has a PLAN to SAVE you from that kind of ETERNITY.  He sent His ONLY SON, to SUFFER, BLEED, DIE, and to be RESURRECTED and to have VICTORY over DEATH and the GRAVE.  

 

And all you have to do is to ADMIT that you are a SINNER in NEED of  the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, who DIED for YOU, and to BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that He DIED for YOU,   And that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and receive an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  And be sure to GIVE GOD ALL the GLORY, for ALL the THINGS He has done.   Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise.  In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.  He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He Promises.  And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous.    Romans 4:20-22

 

Abraham is the SPIRITUAL FATHER of those who have FAITH.  They, like Abraham, are counted as RIGHTEOUS, because of their FAITH.  It is clear that God’s PROMISE to give the WHOLE EARTH to Abraham and his descendants was NOT based on his OBEDIENCE to God’s Law, but on a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with God that comes by FAITH (v13).

 

Abraham’s INCREDIBLE FAITH was brought about because of God’s PROMISE to give him and his wife, Sarah a son.  Now the MIRACULOUS PART of this INCREDIBLE FAITH, was that Abraham was close to a HUNDRED years old and Sarah’s womb was BARREN.  To some people, that was an IMPOSSIBLE situation.  But NOT to Abraham, because he BELIEVED God would KEEP His PROMISE of making him the FATHER of MANY NATIONS, which was a level of SUPERNATURAL HOPE, and INCREDIBLE FAITH.  Abraham TRUSTED in the ALMIGHTY POWER of the LIVING GOD to take an IMPOSSIBLE situation, and make it a POSSIBLE situation.  

 

Abraham NEVER WAVERED in his FAITH of BELIEVING in GOD’S PROMISE.  Our Scripture tells us that his FAITH grew STRONGER, and because of this ABRAHAM brought GLORY to GOD.   Abraham FULLY BELIEVED and was FULLY CONVINCED that the ALMIGHTY GOD is ABLE to DO WHATEVER He PROMISES.  And because of Abraham’s INCREDIBLE FAITH, God counted him as RIGHTEOUS. 

 

God has PROMISED those who BELIEVE and TRUST in His Only Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, for their SALVATION, would have ALL their SINS FORGIVEN, and they would be ABLE to spend their ETERNITY in HEAVEN, and ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once they are there.  And if they have an INCREDIBLE FAITH, as Abraham, they too would be COUNTED AS RIGHTEOUS, meaning they would have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with GOD.  

 

In order to do that you MUST FIRST, ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who SUFFERED, BLED, DIED and RESURRECTED from DEATH and the GRAVE, to REDEEM YOU from your SINFUL lifestyle.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS DIED for YOU. And that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and BELIEVE and TRUST Him to KEEP His PROMISE, and have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with Him and His SON, and be COUNTED as RIGHTEOUS, because of your INCREDIBLE FAITH.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can, because when you LEAST EXPECT it, Jesus will COME AGAIN to take ALL of ABRAHAM’S Children HOME.  And you Don’t want to be LEFT BEHIND!!!  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  It is by His Great Mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead.  Now we live with great expectation,  and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in Heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond reach of change and decay.  And through your faith, God is protecting you by His Power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the Last Day for all to see.   1 Peter 1:3-5

 

Thanks be to God, for His GREAT MERCY.  It is by that GREAT MERCY that mankind can be BORN AGAIN. Remember, this is a SPIRITUAL REBIRTH, and because of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, God’s Only Son, who SUFFERED, BLED, DIED, and was brought back from DEATH and the GRAVE, in order to pay the price for the REDEMPTION of MANKIND.  Because MANKIND is born with a SINFUL NATURE, and is SINFUL, WRETCHED and UNRIGHTEOUS, they NEED a SAVIOR, one who is SINLESS and PURE, whose blood can COVER their sins, and make them RIGHT with the HOLY, RIGHTEOUS, MERCIFUL GOD.  

 

Now, because of God’s ABUNDANT MERCY, we can LIVE with GREAT EXPECTATION, or with a LIVING HOPE.  This LIVING HOPE is from God and is a GIFT of His GRACE.  It is ETERNAL LIFE that is SECURED by the RESURRECTION of JESUS CHRIST, and it is CONFIRMED in those who BELIEVE by the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD. It produces JOY and will be FULFILLED at the RETURN of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  

 

The Apostle Peter, taught the PERSECUTED BELIEVERS how to look past their PERSECUTIONS and TROUBLES to their ETERNAL, PRICELESS INHERITANCE, which is LIFE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, JOY, PEACE, the PRESENCE of the ALMIGHTY GOD, and the COMPANIONSHIP with the LORD JESUS CHRIST. And all the REWARDS they will receive, and EVERYTHING ELSE that God may have PLANNED for their ETERNAL PRICELESS INHERITANCE, an INHERITANCE that is NOT subject to DISAPPEARING, or DECAYING, it is UNPOLLUTED, and UNSTAINED with EVIL.  It is ETERNAL and will NEVER DIMINISH in ANY WAY.  It is WAITING for the TRUE BELIEVER who will receive it when they receive the culmination of their SALVATION, which is READY to be REVEALED on the LAST DAY. 

 

Will you be able to LOOK FORWARD to receiving this ETERNAL, PRICELESS INHERITANCE?  You can if you are a TRUE BELIEVER, and a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD.  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD, then you will NOT RECEIVE this INHERITANCE.  In order to RECEIVE it, you MUST FIRST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who PAID the PRICE for your SALVATION.   And you MUST BELIEVE that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and receive your ETERNAL, PRICELESS INHERITANCE.  If you do this, you will be able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  And you will receive an ETERNITY in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS.  So, do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

He came into the very world He Created, but the world didn’t recognize Him.  He came to His own people, and even they rejected Him.  But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become Children of God.  They are REBORN—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.   John 1:10-13

 

Jesus Christ, the ETERNAL WORD:  In the beginning the Word already existed.  The Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He existed in the BEGINNING with God.  God CREATED EVERYTHING through Him, and NOTHING was CREATED except THROUGH HIM.   

 

And when He came into the VERY WORLD He CREATED, the WORLD (mankind) didn’t RECOGNIZE HIM.  This was caused by their IGNORANCE, and their SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS, which was caused by their SINFUL HEARTS.  

 

Then His own people, the nation of ISRAEL, who  REJECTED HIM, despite all the MIRACULOUS SIGNS Jesus had done, MOST of the people STILL did NOT BELIEVE in Him.  (John 12:37).  But to ALL who BELIEVED Him and ACCEPTED Him,  He gave the RIGHT to BECOME CHILDREN of GOD.  

 

They are REBORN—NOT with a PHYSICAL BIRTH resulting from HUMAN PASSION or PLAN, but a NEW SPIRITUAL BIRTH that comes from God.  NOT ALL of the people REJECTED Him, and to those who BELIEVED and ACCEPTED Him as the SACRIFICIAL LAMB of GOD, for the REDEMPTION of their SINS, He GAVE them the RIGHT to become a part of GOD’S FAMILY, His CHILDREN.  People are NOT naturally CHILDREN of GOD, they are CREATED by GOD, but they are NOT His TRUE CHILDREN until they BELIEVE in the LORD JESUS CHRIST and ACCEPT Him as their SAVIOR and LORD.  

 

In order to become a CHILD of GOD and to have your SINS FORGIVEN, and your name written down in the LAMB’S BOOK of LIFE, which means you will be ABLE to SPEND your ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS, and to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS.  You MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS SUFFERED, BLED, and DIED for your SALVATION, and that He is now ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for YOU, before God.  And you MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and  TRUST in GOD, with ALL your HEART, and REJOICE over your being ACCEPTED into GOD’S FAMILY as HIS OWN CHILD!!  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

God showed how much He loved us by sending His One and Only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him.  This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a Sacrifice to take away our sins.   1 John 4:9-10

 

God knew from the very beginning of time, that mankind, would FAIL Him, DISAPPOINT Him, and REJECT Him, yet He LOVED them, and was intent on providing the WAY for them to TURN AWAY from their SINS and SHORTCOMINGS, and to be able to have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with Him.  He exhibited His PERFECT, SACRIFICIAL LOVE, through His ONE and ONLY SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who was WILLING to be TOTALLY OBEDIENT to His FATHER, at ANY COST.

 

So, God sent His Son into this WRETCHED, SIN-DRENCHED, World, NOT to CONDEMN the WORLD, but to SAVE the WORLD, through Him.   Only the PURE, UNDEFILED, RIGHTEOUS, BLOOD of GOD’S ONLY SON, JESUS, could REMOVE, and COVER mankind’s SINS.  And provide for them, an ETERNAL HOME in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  And to SAVE them from an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY TO ESCAPE, once they are there.  So, Jesus WILLINGLY SUFFERED through a HORRENDOUS BEATING, that literally  RIPPED His FLESH from His Back and Sides, it was called a SCOURGING, and when applied to some, they died from the SCOURGING.  

 

Then the ROMAN GUARDS NAILED Him to an OLD WOODEN CROSS, on a hill, for people to see, and to be able to JEER, and CURSE those who were hanging on the CROSSES.  This form of CAPITAL PUNISHMENT, was for the WORST of criminals.  And yet they did it to the ONLY SON of the ALMIGHTY GOD, CREATOR, of ALL HEAVEN and EARTH, because He claimed that He was the SON of GOD.  Jesus became the SACRIFICIAL LAMB, who was SACRIFICED for SINFUL MANKIND, that they might BELIEVE and TRUST in Him for the FORGIVENESS of their WRETCHED SINS, and to provide for them an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, because they have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD.

 

This SACRIFICIAL ACT of GOD’S LOVE, is a SUPREME EXAMPLE of the LOVE that God has for ALL MANKIND.  This SACRIFICIAL LOVE is REAL LOVE, NOT that we LOVED GOD, but that HE LOVED US SO MUCH that He sent His SON as OUR SACRIFICE to TAKE AWAY OUR SINS.  Those who are WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM their SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and will BELIEVE that JESUS DIED FOR THEM, and will put their FAITH and TRUST in Him for their SALVATION, and CONFESS their SINS to HIM, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And ACCEPT GOD’S GIFT of SALVATION, they will be ABLE to SPEND ALL of their ETERNITY in HEAVEN, and EXPERIENCE GOD’S UNFAILING, STEADFAST, SACRIFICIAL LOVE.  So, do this NOW, while you still can.  HE’S WAITING and COMING SOON!!!   Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!
