Vindicate me, LORD, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the LORD and have not faltered.  Test me, LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind, for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.   Psalm 26:1-3

 

If YOU were put on TRIAL for being a CHRISTIAN, would they have enough evidence to prove you were GUILTY??   The Psalmist, David, implores upon the LORD GOD, to VINDICATE or DECLARE him INNOCENT of being a part of those who do EVIL.  So, he goes before the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, and testifies that he has ACTED with INTEGRITY, which is HOLDING to MORAL and ETHICAL principles, something that is hard to find in this day and time.  However, David goes on with his testimony that he has TRUSTED the LORD GOD without WAVERING.  

 

David, then implores the LORD GOD to TEST him, and to TRY him, and EXAMINE His HEART and his MIND.  In other words, David was asking God to put him on TRIAL, and CROSS-EXAMINE him.  David had CONFIDENCE that he WAS innocent of being a part of the WICKED.  Of those things, David was INNOCENT.  

 

But on the other hand, David was GUILTY of being connected with the LORD GOD.  He admits that he had ALWAYS been AWARE of God’s UNFAILING LOVE and that he TRUSTED in the LORD, without WAVERING.  He also ADMITTED that he RELIED on GOD’S FAITHFULNESS.  Then David ends his TESTIMONY with:  “ I wash my hands to DECLARE my INNOCENCE. I come to YOUR ALTAR, O LORD, SINGING a SONG of THANKSGIVING and TELLING of ALL your WONDERS.  I LOVE Your SANCTUARY, LORD, the PLACE where Your GLORIOUS PRESENCE dwells.”  

 

Could YOU declare your INNOCENCE of NOT being a part of those who do EVIL?  And TESTIFY that you have acted with INTEGRITY, and TRUSTING in the LORD GOD without WAVERING?  Can you TESTIFY that you are ALWAYS AWARE of GOD’S UNFAILING LOVE and LIVE RELYING on His FAITHFULNESS?  

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD, through the DEATH, BURIAL, and RESURRECTION of His Only Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, then you really don’t have a TESTIMONY, nor are you INNOCENT of being a part of doing EVIL in God’s Sight.  And you cannot claim to be GUILTY of having a RELATIONSHIP with the HOLY RIGHTEOUS GOD.  And your DESTINY, NOW, is spending your ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  But the ALMIGHTY GOD has a plan for YOU.  He really wants you to SPEND your ETERNITY in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS.  So, this is what you MUST DO in order to have FORGIVENESS of your SINS, and to GAIN HEAVEN as YOUR ETERNAL HOME. You MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  And you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS. Then you MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And then, ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and have a TESTIMONY that will make YOU GUILTY of a TRUE RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD and will sentence you to an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  Jesus is WAITING and  COMING SOON!!!  

Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.  Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  This promise is to you , to your children, and to those far away—-all who have been called by the Lord our God.   Acts 2:38-39

 

This passage is from the Apostle Peter’s sermon to a crowd of Jews and residents of Jerusalem. Peter’s sermon was delivered on the Day of Pentecost, right after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and the 120 believers that were with them.    

 

This is what Peter said to the Jews and the residents of Jerusalem: “So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!”  Peter’s words PIERCED their HEARTS and they were CONVICTED of their SINS, and said to him and the other apostles; “Brothers, WHAT SHOULD WE DO?”  The Apostle Peter replied:   “Each of you MUST REPENT of your SINS and TURN TO GOD.”  The word “REPENT” means to TURN AWAY FROM your SINS and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  REPENTANCE and FORGIVENESS is NOT made POSSIBLE through the act of BAPTISM, but they are brought about through the GRACE of the ALMIGHTY GOD, and FAITH in JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONLY SON, who PAID the PRICE to REDEEM ALL of mankind.  Baptism, is the ACT of OBEDIENCE, and a SIGN that you are now AFFILIATED with the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD. Then you will receive the Gift of the HOLY SPIRIT.  This PROMISE is given to all who have been CALLED by the LORD our GOD.  And have COME BY FAITH in the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  

 

How do you KNOW if you are being CALLED by God?  This is the job of the HOLY SPIRIT to bring you under CONVICTION, and OPEN your SPIRITUAL EYES, so you can SEE your wretched CONDITION, and to let you know about the consequences of your SINS.  If you CONTINUE to REJECT God’s CALL for SALVATION, you will not be able to experience GOD’S AMAZING GRACE, and His ABUNDANT MERCY, and you put your ETERNAL DESTINY at RISK of spending ALL of your ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  So, like the JEWS, you NEED to KNOW WHAT YOU MUST DO to CHANGE your ETERNAL DESTINY to spending ALL of your ETERNITY in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS.  

 

 When the HOLY SPIRIT CONVICTS you of YOUR SINS, you MUST FIRST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  And BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, And that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  Then you MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS. And be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFE-STYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and let others KNOW that you are NOW AFFILIATED with JESUS CHRIST through BELIEVER’S BAPTISM.   And let THIS be what DETERMINES your ETERNAL DESTINY.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  JESUS is WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

You love Him even though you have never seen Him.  Though you do not see Him now, you trust Him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.  The reward for trusting Him will be the salvation of your souls.   1 Peter 1:8-9

 

 LIVING HOPE brings about PRESENT JOY.  How should the TRUE BELIEVER live in times of TRIALS?  God’s Plan of SALVATION was made possible through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, which should make the TRUE BELIEVER’S focus of FAITH be on the PERSON of CHRIST.  They NEED to LOVE Him even though they have NEVER SEEN Him, and though they do NOT SEE Him NOW, they BELIEVE in Him and TRUST HIM .  And because of their FAITH and TRUST in the LORD JESUS CHRIST, for their PROMISED INHERITANCE, namely their SALVATION, which is the CULMINATION of their FAITH and OBEDIENCE to Him.

 

For those who LOVE and BELIEVE in the LORD JESUS, SALVATION is PAST.  He has already given us a NEW BIRTH.  PRESENT:  Through our FAITH, God is PROTECTING us by HIS POWER.  FUTURE: We have a PRICELESS INHERITANCE, in Heaven, that is PURE, and UNDEFILED, BEYOND the reach of CHANGE and DECAY. And it will be REVEALED in the LAST TIME.  

 

The TRUE BELIEVER of today, has NEVER, with their PHYSICAL EYES, seen the LORD JESUS, but they have SEEN Him with their SPIRITUAL EYES.  They are able to get a CLEAR PICTURE of Him, by READING and STUDYING the WORD of GOD, which is the HOLY BIBLE.  In the Book of John, the first verse says:  “In the beginning the WORD already existed.  The WORD was WITH God and the WORD was GOD.  He (JESUS) existed in the beginning WITH God.”  (V 1).  In verse fourteen it tells us that: “The WORD became human, and made His home among us.” If you will continue to read the Book of John, you can get a GOOD picture of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. 

 

Each day brings the TRUE BELIEVER a little CLOSER to that LAST DAY, when the FULLNESS of their SALVATION is made READY and their PROMISED INHERITANCE will FINALLY be theirs.  And they will be able to GAZE upon the ONE who MADE it ALL POSSIBLE.  Is this YOUR FUTURE?

 

If you are NOT a TRUE BELIEVER, and you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD, through the SACRIFICIAL WORK of His SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who GAVE His Life to SAVE your SOUL, then you are DESTINED to spend your ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  But because of GOD’S ABUNDANT MERCY and AMAZING GRACE, you have the OPPORTUNITY to CHANGE that DESTINY by:  ADMITTING that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  And YOU MUST BELIEVE that JESUS DIED for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to HIM and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS.  Then you MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And you MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and LOVE and TRUST in His SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  And when the LAST DAY has come, you will experience your SALVATION in its FULLNESS, and receive your PRICELESS, PROMISED INHERITANCE.  And REJOICE with a GLORIOUS, INEXPRESSIBLE JOY!  So, do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t Be Left Behind!!!

Since we believe human testimony surely, we can believe the greater testimony that comes from God.  And God has testified about His Son.  All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true.  Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about His Son.    1 John 5: 9-10

 

A TESTIMONY is EVIDENCE in SUPPORT of a FACT or STATEMENT.  The basic principle of the Word of God is that when a situation comes up, it must be established through the TESTIMONIES of two or three witnesses.  In verse seven it tells us that: The three witnesses in the TESTIMONY concerning  Jesus as the Son of God.  And those three witnesses are His Baptism in WATER and His BLOOD at the cross, and then was the SPIRIT of God, who is TRUTH and He CONFIRMS it with His TESTIMONY.  

 

The PROBLEM is mankind is willing to BELIEVE HUMAN TESTIMONY over the GREATER TESTIMONY of the LIVING GOD.  It is the TESTIMONY confirming the VALIDITY of the FACT that JESUS is TRULY the ONE and ONLY SON of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  God’s GREATER TESTIMONY is this:  “ He has given us ETERNAL LIFE and this LIFE is in His SON.  Whoever has the SON, has LIFE; whoever does NOT have GOD’S SON does NOT have an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, but they will spend their ETERNITY in a place called HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  

 

Do you BELIEVE the GREATER TESTIMONY of GOD, about receiving ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, through His ONLY SON?  The ONLY WAY to receive this GIFT of SALVATION is to ACCEPT and BELIEVE that JESUS is the SON of GOD, and the ONLY HOPE for MANKIND.   And you MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, the ONE who DIED for YOU, so that you might have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with God.   And you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you before God.  And you MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then you MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and BELIEVE in the GREATER TESTIMONY and SHARE IT with OTHERS.  

 

However, those who DO NOT  BELIEVE GOD’S GREATER TESTIMONY, are actually calling GOD a LIAR because they DON’T BELIEVE what GOD has TESTIFIED about His Son. And because of their UNBELIEF in God’s TESTIMONY, they are destined for an ETERNITY in HELL.    

 

Where are YOU?  BELIEVING or UNBELIEVING?  You can KNOW for SURE by BELIEVING and TRUSTING in GOD’S GREATER TESTIMONY.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t Be LEFT BEHIND!!!

 

“Repent and Believe!”

The time promised by God has come at last He announced.  “The Kingdom of God is near!  Repent of your sins, and believe the Good News!”   Mark 1:15

 

After John the Baptist was arrested, Jesus went to Galilee and preached the GOOD NEWS of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  He told the people that:  “The time PROMISED by God has come at last!”  Now the “time” He was referring to, was not in counting the hours, minutes or even days or weeks.  But it was referring to God’s appointed time of PREPARATION and EXPECTATION, the Old Testament era was FULFILLED in agreement with GOD’S PLAN.

 

The RIGHT TIME came and God sent His Son, born of a woman, and subject to the law.  God sent Him to buy FREEDOM for those who were subject to the law, so that He could adopt them as His very OWN Children.  (Gal. 4:4)  Jesus went on to tell the people that:  “The Kingdom of God is NEAR!”  The word “KINGDOM” means “KINGSHIP”or ROYAL RULE.  The KINGDOM of GOD is a powerful concept that refers to GOD’S SOVEREIGN RULE over His Creation.  

 

This CONCEPT was familiar to those of JESUS’ day, because of the Old Testament prophecy.  But they were expecting a MESSIANIC KINGDOM, one that would be set up on the EARTH.  They are still looking for more of a WARRIOR KING, than the son of a lowly carpenter.  However, Jesus was and is the KING of KINGS and LORD of LORDS.  And one day He will set up His KINGDOM on Earth.  

 

Jesus gave His audience a command to REPENT or TURN AWAY FROM their SINFUL LIFESTYLE and TURN TO GOD, and to BELIEVE with ALL their HEARTS, the GOOD NEWS, which was to BELIEVE in JESUS, as the MESSIAH, He is the GOOD NEWS for ALL of MANKIND.  

 

REPENTANCE and FAITH or BELIEF are linked together as one piece.  When you come to JESUS with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and you BELIEVE with ALL your HEART, that He has taken ALL your SINS away, when He SUFFERED, BLED, and DIED, then was RESURRECTED from DEATH and the GRAVE, to SECURE for YOU an ETERNITY in HEAVEN. And for you to be able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL of its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  And you MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  Then ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION by REPENTING and BELIEVING and then you will be ADOPTED into GOD’S FAMILY as one of His very OWN CHILDREN.  So, DON’T put it off, any longer! Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

 

“The Eternal Rock”

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!   Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD GOD is the Eternal Rock.    Isaiah 26:3-4

 

This passage of Scripture, is a SONG of PRAISE to the LORD GOD.  And this SONG is a source of HOPE and CONSOLATION to not only those of Judah, at that time, but it is very APPLICABLE for the TRUE BELIEVERS of TODAY.  This chapter, (26), is a SONG that will be SUNG at the time when JESUS CHRIST will establish His Kingdom.

 

And in this Kingdom, the TRUE CHILDREN of GOD will have a STRONG CITY, which will be JERUSALEM, the CAPITAL CITY of KING JESUS. Therefore, the TRUE BELIEVERS are able to CLAIM the PROMISE of PERFECT PEACE for ALL who TRUST in the ALMIGHTY GOD and His BELOVED SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who SUFFERED, BLED, and DIED, and RESURRECTED from DEATH and the GRAVE, in order to bring SALVATION to a LOST and DYING world, and to provide for them an ETERNAL HOME in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, and to be ABLE to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  

 

This is why it is of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE, for you to FIX your MIND on GOD and His Son, JESUS CHRIST. As a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD, you NEED to TRUST in the LORD ALWAYS!! Because, the LORD GOD IS the ONLY ETERNAL ROCK, your STRENGTH and your TOWER of REFUGE!  

 

So,  if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD, you’re a SINNER in NEED of the ONLY ONE, who can SAVE you from an ETERNITY in HELL, who is, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  And you will NEVER have that PERFECT PEACE, nor will you be able to SING this SONG in the CAPITAL CITY of the KING.  So, what you NEED to do is to COME to CHRIST JESUS, and CONFESS that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of GOD’S MERCY and GRACE. Then BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you.  And then CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then ACCEPT God’s GIFT of SALVATION and ALLOW Him to be YOUR ETERNAL ROCK, and experience that PERFECT PEACE, with an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, and ALL its BLESSINGS.  So, do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON.  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!

People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.  Blessed are those who fear to do wrong, but the stubborn are headed for serious trouble.    Proverbs 28:13-14

 

In today’s lifestyle, it seems as though most people don’t mind FLAUNTING their transgressions, for everyone or anyone to see.  It is, as if they are proud of their sinfulness, and they have NO SHAME, at all for their immorality.  But there are those who feel the guilt of their sins, and they set out to HIDE them from GOD and others, because they ARE ASHAMED, and under CONVICTION.  And it is USELESS for them to try and HIDE their SINFUL ways from the ALL MIGHTY, ALL KNOWING, GOD.  And He is EVERYWHERE at the same time.  

 

However, if they will CONFESS and TURN AWAY FROM their SINFUL LIFESTYLE, they will be ABLE to have GOD’S MERCY, and will receive His FORGIVENESS.  In order to do that they MUST COME to the LORD JESUS CHRIST, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING their sins and ASKING Him for His CLEANSING power upon their UNCLEANED HEART and SOUL.  And they MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM their SINS, and TURN TO GOD.  They MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION and be able to ESCAPE HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and to receive an ETERNITY in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Then God will pour out His MERCY and GRACE upon them.   But if they are too STUBBORN and REBELLIOUS, they will face His JUDGMENT and be HEADED for SERIOUS TROUBLE.  

 

So, if you are trying to HIDE your SINS from God and others.  STOP IT!!  GOD knows all about your transgressions, BUT He LOVES YOU, and He wants you to become a part of His Family.  And you do that by doing the instructions that are in the previous paragraph.   Admit that you are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  BELIEVE in the LORD JESUS CHRIST, CONFESS your SINS.  And TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN to GOD.  And ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION and an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN. Which will it be for YOU:  PROSPERITY, or SERIOUS TROUBLE?    Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  DON’T BE LEFT BEHIND!!!

 

  

“Waiting Quietly”

I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him.  He alone is my Rock and my Salvation, my Fortress where I will never be shaken.   Psalm 62:1-2

 

This Psalm was written by King David, who was evidently in a time when he was facing TREASON.  It could have been when Absalom was rebelling against his father, the King.  Or maybe it was another of David’s many enemies.  Nevertheless, David was in some TROUBLING times. And he faces this problem with his FOCUS solely on the ALMIGHTY GOD.  

 

That is why he was able to WAIT QUIETLY, because he KNEW that his VICTORY comes from God.  The King’s TRUST in the ALMIGHTY was the reason he could WAIT QUIETLY, without whining, or complaining.  David could WAIT upon God PATIENTLY for his VICTORY, which he KNEW came from the ALMIGHTY GOD, and was as good as done already.  And David was SURE of GOD being his ROCK and his SALVATION, and his FORTRESS, where he WOULD NEVER be SHAKEN.  He could be STEADFAST in his TRUST, and he could WAIT QUIETLY before God.

 

 

We are facing a NEW YEAR, with uncertainties.  Some of which may be PLEASANT, and some may be DISASTROUS.  We can face these UNCERTAINTIES like King David, by TRUSTING in the ALMIGHTY GOD, and that will help us WAIT QUIETLY before God.  And we do that, by ACKNOWLEDGING that God ALONE is our ROCK and our SALVATION.  And He is our FORTRESS where we can NEVER BE SHAKEN.  

 

 

But, to do that, you MUST have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD, and be able to TRUST Him, by WAITING QUIETLY before Him.  And the first step of having a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with Him is; to STOP running from His Holy Spirit, and SURRENDER yourself to God’s Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who GAVE His Life to SAVE your SOUL from an ETERNITY  in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  To do this, you MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  Then you MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and WAIT QUIETLY before GOD, because your VICTORY comes from HIM.
