“The Intentions of a True Repentant Heart”

 

 

I will not look with approval on anything that is vile.  I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it.   The perverse of heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with what is evil.          Psalm 101:3-4

 

It is said that David was a man after God’s own heart.  In reading this Psalm, one would say that this is a TRUE statement.  David penned what was in his heart and on his mind.  And whenever David sinned against God, he would come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and CONFESS his sins to God, seeking FORGIVENESS of his transgressions.  This is why he could pen these words. 

 

It was the INTENTIONS of David’s TRUE REPENTANT HEART, to NOT look with APPROVAL on ANYTHING that was of a vile nature, which is an EXCELLENT example for the one who has a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  We should not CONDONE or APPROVE the actions of those who participate in anything of a VILE nature, some people think it is the RIGHT thing to do, if their children are involved in a lifestyle that goes against God’s Laws for mankind.  But, it is NOT, and they should NOT APPROVE or SUPPORT them in any way.

 

NOTICE, David says that he hates WHAT faithless people do.  People who do not possess FAITH in God, will follow the ways of the world and will do things that are contrary to the Word of the Living God.  They continuously live for the world and will do WHATEVER they need to do to get ahead in this life, even if it is VILE, DEPRAVED, DECIETFUL or ROTTEN to the CORE.  They become SLAVES to their sins. 

 

David declares that he will have NO part in it.  In other words, he will NOT participate in their actions.  Nor will he give SUPPORT or APPROVAL for what they do.  He also declares that those who possess a PERVERTED HEART will be far from him.  He will NOT take part in their actions, but will SEPARATE himself from them.  He will have NOTHING to do with what is evil. 

 

When a person, who possesses a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, PARTICIPATES or APPROVES of the actions of an UNBELIEVER, they WILL come under CONVICTION, and will be miserable and wretched until they SEPARATE themselves from the sinful actions and CONFESS THEIR sinful actions to the HOLY RIGHTEOUS JUDGE of the world, seeking His FORGIVENESS.

 

If you have NOT come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, then you are living in a state of VILENESS, SINFULNESS, DECIETFULNESS, and may even possess a PERVERTED HEART, and are on your way to an ETERNITY in Hell.  However, God is giving you the opportunity NOW, to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and like King David, be one that is seeking after God’s own HEART.  Do it NOW while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“The Consequences of Unbelief”

 

 

So, as the Holy Spirit says:  “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness.  

That is why I was angry with that generation; I said, “Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known My ways.”  So I declared on oath in My anger, “They shall never enter my rest.”        Hebrews 3:7, 10, 11

 

These are the very same words in Psalm 95:7-11, the Psalmist, is speaking to the nation of Israel, calling them to a period of worship. It is a WARNING that is repeated here in the book of Hebrews.  It clearly tells us the CONSEQUENCES awaiting those who are UNBELIEVERS.

 

The writers of both these passages begins with the word “TODAY,” indicating the time frame of this WARNING.  They are saying that the time to act is NOW, not TOMORROW, but do it NOW!  What exactly were they asked to do?  They were asked to RESPOND to the VOICE of God, and to NOT HARDEN their HEARTS, as their ancestors had done in the time of their testing in the wilderness, which brought about their wandering around in the wilderness for forty years and they were NOT allowed to enter God’s rest in the PROMISED LAND.  This was the CONSEQUENCES of their UNBELIEF.

 

And so it is TODAY, the Holy Spirit of God is saying to the UNBELIEVER, “Today, if you hear His voice, DO NOT harden your hearts.”  DO NOT be DISOBEDIENT to God’s will or to His calling.  But COME to Him NOW, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and escape the CONSEQUENCES of UNBELIEF. 

 

If you HARDEN your HEART, and REFUSE His invitation to enter His ETERNAL REST, then you WILL face the CONSEQUENCES of your UNBELIEF, which includes, spending ALL of ETERNITY in Hell, the place of perpetual torment, torture, agony, pain, heartache, and despair, with NO way of ESCAPE.  However, God is giving you the opportunity, RIGHT NOW, TODAY to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a TRUE BELIEVER, escaping the CONSEQUENCES of UNBELIEF.  Do it NOW, TODAY! While you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!

“You Can Run, But You Cannot Hide!”

 

 

And no creature is hidden from His sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.          Hebrews 4:13

 

It is sometimes AMAZING at what lengths people, TRUE BELIEVERS and UNBELIEVERS, will go to, in attempting to HIDE themselves or things they are involved in, which are NOT in accordance to the Word of God, from God. 

 

In Romans 14:10-12, and 2 Corinthians 5:10, we see that we ALL must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, the TRUE BELIEVER, will then have their works examined to see what rewards they will receive and, which rewards they will lose, because of the attitude of their HEART, whether they are GOOD or EVIL.  For the UNBELIEVER their sins will be judged and they will be sentenced to an ETERNITY in Hell, with NO WAY of ESCAPE. 

 

In the verse of Scripture, today, we are told that ALL creatures and their deeds are NAKED and EXPOSED to the eyes of Him to whom we WILL give an account.  No matter how far you go to HIDE yourself or your deeds from Him, they are STILL VISIBLE to the One who will determine what your destiny will be. 

 

Will your life and deeds hold to the scrutiny of God’s judgment?  Do they conform to the Word of God?  Are they in OBEDIENCE or DISOBEDIENCE to His Word?  These are questions that NEED to be answered, and corrected, if need be. 

 

If you are a TRUE BELIEVER, check and make sure that your life and deeds are conforming to the Word of God, and that the ATTITUDE of your HEART is RIGHT and PLEASING to the One, to whom you will give an account to.

 

If you are an UNBELIEVER, you need to COME to God NOW, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and CONFORM to the WORD OF GOD with an OBEDIENT nature and be able to stand before God to receive your rewards and not your condemnation.  And remember; you CAN RUN, but you CANNOT HIDE.  Come to Him NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

Out of the anguish of His soul He shall see and be satisfied; by His knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and He shall bear their iniquities.          Isaiah 53:11

 

“Out of the anguish of His soul,” means because of His SUFFERING, and DEATH, which took place during His crucifixion, the Lord Jesus Christ was SATISFIED with the results of such a horrendous, brutal SACRIFICE that was provided for the SALVATION of the TRUE BELIEVER.

 

“By His knowledge,” which could be translated, “by knowledge of Him,” Christ, the RIGHTEOUS ONE, could make many to be RIGHTEOUS, and to BEAR THEIR INIQUITIES.  When Christ was hanging on that OLD, RUGGED cross, He took on the sins of EVERYONE, PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE, He, who knew NO sin, became sin so that the  MANY who TRULY BELIEVE, with ALL their HEART, could be REDEEMED and made RIGHTEOUS before the HOLY, RIGHTEOUS GOD.

 

Because He was willing to SUFFER the ANGUISH of His soul, MANY, meaning EVERYBODY, who TRULY BELIEVES that Jesus Christ died for them, to provide their REDEMPTION and RIGHTEOUSNESS, will become a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD and will receive the HOPE of HEAVEN for ALL ETERNITY. 

 

However, those who continually REFUSE God’s gift of SALVATION, will be FOREVER LOST and will spend ETERNITY in HELL, the place of ETERNAL torment, torture, pain, heartache, agony and despair, with NO WAY of ESCAPE.  But God is giving you another opportunity to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a TRUE BELIEVER, who has been REDEEMED and made RIGHTEOUS, by the work of Jesus Christ, through the ANGUISH of His soul.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“Victory That Overcomes the World”

 

 

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.  For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world---our faith.          1 John 5:3-4

 

 

The one who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, and has come to Him with a desire to be saved from their sins, is BORN of GOD.  When we LOVE God and observe His commandments, we can KNOW that the LOVE of God is in us, and we can TRULY LOVE the children born of Him. 

 

For the LOVE of God is that we KEEP His commandments; and His commandments are NOT burdensome to us, because the principle of victory is in EVERY TRUE BELIEVER.  EVERY TRUE BELIEVER will desire to KEEP God’s commandments, because of their LOVE for God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. 

 

Now, just how is that VICTORY carried out?  When a person comes to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, SEEKING God’s FORGIVENESS, and BELIEVING with ALL their HEART, that Jesus died for them, then they are VICTORIOUS over this wretched, old, sinful world and its leader, Satan, by their FAITH.  Their FAITH is their weapon against the wickedness of a lost and dying world and thus they are able to OVERCOME THE WORLD.  And obtain ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven. 

 

However, if you do NOT come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, SEEKING His FORGIVENESS, and BELIEVEING with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, You are NOT VICTORIOUS over this wretched, old sinful world and Satan, but instead you will remain a part of it and will spend an ETERNITY in HELL, the place of ETERNAL torment, torture, pain, agony, and despair, with NO WAY of ESCAPE.  So if you want to change your direction you MUST COME to God with a TRUR REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to God, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a Child of the Living God, and let your FAITH become the VICTORY that OVERCOMES the world.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“Evidence of Who Are the Children of God”

 

 

No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.  This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are:  Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.                                                 1 John 3:9-10

 

 

When a person wants to know what kind of person is a TRUE BELIEVER or a TRUE CHILD of God, they will WATCH them and LISTEN to them.  When you become a TRUE CHILD of the ALMIGHTY GOD, you will exemplify the nature of God, which is the seed of God.  When His nature is planted in your HEART, then you will show EVIDENCE of to whom you belong.  And your OLD, SINFUL nature will go away, and you will receive a NEW nature. 

 

Does this mean that the TRUE CHILD of the ALMIGHTY GOD does NOT SIN?  No it does NOT mean that. The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the believers in Rome states,” I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.”  In other words, Paul was indicating that he has two natures that indwells him.  A sinful nature or the flesh, and another nature, the nature that God planted in his HEART, when he gave himself to the Lord Jesus Christ, who delivers him from his sins.  Paul states in Romans 7:23, that in his inner being He DELIGHTS in God’s law; but the two natures war against each other, and God’s Holy Spirit which indwells Paul, brings CONVICTION into Paul’s HEART, and Paul must CONFESS his sins to God, in order to restore his FELLOWSHIP with his Heavenly Father. 

 

The KEY to the differences between a TRUE BELIEVER and an UNBELIEVER is the fact that the TRUE BELIEVER will NOT CONTIUNE or PRACTICE sin, but will CONFESS their sins to God and ask for His FORGIVENESS.  The UNBELIEVER will LIVE or PRACTICE DAILY their sins and not CONFESS them, unless they are being dealt with by the HOLY SPIRIT, and they come to God, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING their sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL their HEART that Jesus died for them, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for them before God, then they must ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and TURN AWAY from their sins and TOWARD CHRIST, seeking FORGIVENESS of any sins they may have committed, and they MUST LOVE their brothers and sisters in the Lord. 

This is how we know who are the TRUE CHILDREN OF GOD, and who are the TRUE CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL.  The EVIDENCE is very plain to see.  Which are you?  Come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and CONFESS your sins to Him, seek His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVE, WHOLEHEARTEDLY, that Jesus died for YOU, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION  and become a TRUE CHILD OF THE LIVING GOD.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

 

 

"New Year, New Life"

“New Year, New Life”

 

 

“As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD.  “My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants---from this time on and forever,” says the LORD.        Isaiah 59:21

 

This was a message to the BELIEVING Israelites from God, delivered by the Prophet Isaiah, and is very applicable for ANY TRUE BELIEVER today, regardless of their nationality.   For Christ brought SALVATION for the Jews and Gentiles.  With God there is NO partiality.  We are neither Jew nor Gentile for ALL TRUE BELIVERS are the SAME in His sight.   

 

Jesus was the New Covenant, and ONLY by Him, can anybody receive SALVATION, and a RIGHT relationship with Father God.  It is through Jesus Christ that we are brought into God’s Holy Family and given the very SPECIAL GIFT of His Holy Spirit, who guides, leads, counsels, and teaches us in and through the Word of the Living God.  And as we see in this verse His Spirit will NOT depart from us. 

 

If you are a TRUE BELIEVER, you should have a desire to KNOW God and to FOLLOW His Word.  When you begin to grow spiritually, you will learn His Word and Laws and you will want to FOLLOW Him, and be PLEASING to Him.  He will, through the work of the Holy Spirit, put His words in your mouth by way of your HEART.  The Psalmist says:  “Thy Word, have I hidden in my HEART.”  And your mouth will confess what is in your HEART. 

 

Then it is up to you to TEACH God’s Word to your children and them to their children.   It is the responsibility of EVERY PARENT to “train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.  (Proverbs 22:6)  And to set an example and be a witness to them, so they might come to a SAVING KNOWLEDGE of Jesus Christ.   

 

If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you do NOT possess His Spirit and are headed for an eternity in Hell, the place of torment, torture, heartache, pain, agony and despair.  But God in His infinite MERCY and GRACE is giving you the opportunity to change your direction, and what an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME way to begin a NEW YEAR with a NEW LIFE.  To do this you MUST come before God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and begin a NEW YEAR with a NEW LIFE.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
