“The Uniqueness of God”

 

 

“But He is the only God.  Who can come against Him?  He does anything He wants.                    He will do to me what He said He would do, and He has many plans like this.        Job 23:13-14

 

Job was an upright, godly man, whom God allowed to be tested by Satan.  In Satan’s testing of Job, Job lost ALL he had, and at one point in time Job thought to confront God, but after very careful consideration of his situation and the AWESOMENESS of the God of the Universe, Job reconsidered, after all who can counter God?  Who can come against the ALMIGHTY?  Who can come against the One who can snap His fingers and this WHOLE UNIVERSE could vanish.

 

There is NOBODY who is as POWERFUL or who possesses the UNIQUENESS of the LORD God Almighty.  The one who is in control of EVERYTHING.  And if He so desired could DESTROY EVERYTHING with a swipe of His MIGHTY HAND.  He is in a class all its own.  There is NOBODY or NOTHING that you can ever come close to comparing Him to.  

 

Job states that God does ANYTHING He wants.  He is the SOVEREIGN RULER of this Universe and EVERYTHING in it.  He is AWARE of EVERYTHING that happens, and it is His creation, so He will do WHATEVER He wants to do.  And we should be VERY THANKFUL that He is the PATIENT, COMPASSIONATE God that He is.

 

Job says, that God WILL do to him what He said He would do.  Another UNIQUE attribute of God is, that WHATEVER He says He will do, He does it, maybe not in our time frame, but in His.  He is ALL KNOWING and He KNOWS what’s best for each of His children.  His promises are TRUE and will be carried out in accordance to His will.  EVERYTIME we are put to a test, He allows it in order to help us be more like His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  And if we remain FAITHFUL, we will come through the test, being REFINED as PURE GOLD.  He has MANY PLANS for each of His children, ALL of them for their GROWTH and the STABILITY of their FAITH.

 

If you are NOT a TRUE BELIEVER, in other words, if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, I want you to know that He has plans for you too.  If you continue to REJECT His Son, Jesus Christ, His plan for you is an ETERNITY in Hell, the place of torment, torture, pain, agony, heartache, and despair, with NO WAY of ESCAPE, However, if you will ACCEPT His Son, and come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and CONFESS your sins to Him, asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, then He will give you His gift of SALVATION and you can POSSESS His PROMISE of ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

My friends, if any followers have wandered away from the truth, you should try to lead them back.  If you turn sinners from the wrong way, you will save them from death, and many of their sins will be forgiven.       James 5:19-20

 

This verse of Scripture, written by James, a servant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, refers to those who are FOLLOWERS or BELIEVERS, and have STRAYED or WANDERED AWAY from the TRUTH.  It could refer to NEW believers or those who have been believers for a while, but have become weary and has fallen by the way. 

 

One of the tragic things that happens to NEW believers is that, once they are saved they feel like they should act and be like a MATURE BELIEVER immediately after their conversion, and immediately after their conversion is the PRIME TIME for Satan to tempt them to go back into their OLD SINFUL lifestyle.  When they believe they should act and be like the MATURE BELIEVER, and fail to do so, then they become disillusioned and they feel like a failure.  It was much easier for them to live the sinful lifestyle.   

 

How can the TRUE MATURE BELIEVER, RESCUE the NEW BELIEVER?  Well, it isn’t by condemning them or making them the object of GOSSIP.  But it is by going to them with a LOVING and COMPASSIONATE HEART, and taking them under your wing, so to speak, and become a MENTOR to them, and DISCIPLE them.  I believe that this is an area, in many churches, that is either weak or non-existent.  It seems like some people who CLAIM to be TRUE BELIEVERS, would rather COMPLAIN, GOSSIP OR SLANDER the one who has FALLEN from the way, and are in just as much NEED of RESCUE and RESTORATION as the NEW or IMMATURE BELIEVER.   

 

The TRUE MATURE BELIEVER should be LOVING, COMPASSIONATE, CARING, CONCERNED, and WILLING to be a MENTOR or SUPER HERO, who has the SPIRITUAL WELFARE of the NEW or IMMATURE BELIEVER at heart, and will do whatever they can to bring them BACK to the fold.  If you will be WILLING to RESCUE and RESTORE such a one then you will save them from destruction and the death of their SPIRITUAL LIFE and their sins will be FORGIVEN.  And you will be their SUPER HERO.

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, and you are NOT a BELIEVER at ALL, then you are a SINNER, and you are LOST in your sins, and on your way to an eternity in Hell, the place of FOREVER torture, torment, pain, agony, heartache and despair, and there is NO WAY of ESCAPE.  But God in His ABUNDANT MERCY and AMAZING GRACE has a plan for you.  He wants you to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and become a NEW TRUE BELIEVER, and seek out a GOOD, BIBLE BELIEVING, BIBLE PREACHING, CONSERVATIVE CHURCH, attend it REGULARLY, and GO TO SUNDAY SCHOOL and WORSHIP SERVICE so that you can GROW and MATURE in your FAITH, and one day, become a SUPER HERO.   Do it NOW, while you still can, because He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“The Word, the Revelation”

 

There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept My words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.      John 12:48

 

Jesus did not come into the world to JUDGE the world, but to SAVE the world.  There is a JUDGE for those who rejects God’s Word.  The Word, being Jesus Christ.  The issue that is presented here is the REJECTION of God’s command.  Those who ACCEPT and OBEY His command receives ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven.   Those who reject that command will be JUDGED and will receive CONDEMNATION for their REJECTION and will spend ALL ETERNITY in Hell.

 

Jesus is not ONLY the Word of God, but He is the REVELATION of God.  The REJECTION of God’s REVELATION, Jesus Christ, not only brings the penalty of CONDEMNATION, but it brings a SPIRITUAL DEATH. 

 

Jesus’ purpose as God’s WORD and REVELATION is a POSITIVE one.  Jesus came bringing SALVATION to a LOST and DYING world.  REJECTION of the WORD and REVELATION brings the NEGATIVE aspect of His purpose.  Those who REJECT Christ, ends up with facing the RIGHTEOUS and HOLY JUDGE, the GOD of this UNIVERSE.  The one who has the POWER and AUTHORITY to CONDEMN and SENTENCE the UNBELIEVER, those who have REJECTED His Son, to an ETERNITY in Hell, the place of ETERNAL torment, torture, agony, pain, heartache and despair with NO WAY of escape.   Are YOU, REJECTING God’s WORD and REVELATION, the Lord Jesus Christ?

 

If you have to answer YES, then you are at risk of facing the JUDGE and receiving His CONDEMNATION, and SENTENCING to an ETERNITY in Hell.  However, God in His INFINITE MERCY and AMAZING GRACE, has provided a way for you to CHANGE your destiny, and to ACCEPT His Word and His Revelation, Jesus Christ, by coming to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and look FORWARD to an ETERNITY in Heaven.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.  They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.”  It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.        Jude 1:17-19

 

I hear a lot, these days, about how our nation is DIVIDED, and how this one or that one is to blame for the DIVISION in our land.  Well, the Lord laid this verse of SCRIPTURE on my heart, and I believe this is a WARNING to each of us, as to just what is causing such a DIVIDE.

 

Jesus said to the Pharisees:  “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.”  (Mat. 12:25).  Could this be the future for many nations, as well as our very own?  I believe so, because the Word of God is TRUTH, and it hasn’t failed in its predictions. 

 

Jude, in his letter to the Christian Jews, in Palestine, is reminding them of the predictions of the apostles, speaking of the LAST TIME, when there will be SCOFFERS or MOCKERS who follow their own UNGODLY PASSIONS. He indicates that they are the ones who cause DIVISIONS, they are the WORLDLY PEOPLE, who are DEVOID of the Spirit of God.  

 

This group of people are multiplying, because a lot of parents aren’t concerned about the “spiritual” aspect of their children’s lives, which may stem from their own lack of “spiritual” aspects, and the children are left to the influences of a WRETCHED, DEPRAVED, EVIL world that is waiting to get its clutches on our most PRECIOUS possession.  They are the NEXT GENERATION, who will FOLLOW their OWN UNGODLY passions. 

 

And the forces of evil are warring against the forces of God’s Children, causing DIVISIONS in EVERY aspect of life.  So what is the ANSWER to the DIVISIONS that are threatening the very existence of ANY Nation?  The ANSWER is JESUS, we NEED to turn to God for REDEMPTION and RESTORATION, and the ONLY way to accomplish both is to come to JESUS.  We must RESCUE our children, by having a deep concern for their SPIRITUAL WELLFARE and work at developing a HEALTHY appetite for the things of God. 

The future for those who SCOFF or MOCK God, those who are the WORLDLY PEOPLE, who are DEVOID of the SPIRIT of the Living God, is an ETERNITY in Hell, the place of FOREVER, torment, torture, pain, agony and despair, with NO WAY of ESCAPE.  Are you one of them? 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are one of them.  And your future is the same as theirs.  However, you NOW have the opportunity to change your direction and possibly the direction of your children, by coming to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and DO NOT be GUILTY of helping to DIVIDE and DESTROY a GREAT Nation, but be a part of its REDEMPTION and RESTORATION.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“The Intentions of a True Repentant Heart”

 

 

I will not look with approval on anything that is vile.  I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it.   The perverse of heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with what is evil.          Psalm 101:3-4

 

It is said that David was a man after God’s own heart.  In reading this Psalm, one would say that this is a TRUE statement.  David penned what was in his heart and on his mind.  And whenever David sinned against God, he would come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and CONFESS his sins to God, seeking FORGIVENESS of his transgressions.  This is why he could pen these words. 

 

It was the INTENTIONS of David’s TRUE REPENTANT HEART, to NOT look with APPROVAL on ANYTHING that was of a vile nature, which is an EXCELLENT example for the one who has a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  We should not CONDONE or APPROVE the actions of those who participate in anything of a VILE nature, some people think it is the RIGHT thing to do, if their children are involved in a lifestyle that goes against God’s Laws for mankind.  But, it is NOT, and they should NOT APPROVE or SUPPORT them in any way.

 

NOTICE, David says that he hates WHAT faithless people do.  People who do not possess FAITH in God, will follow the ways of the world and will do things that are contrary to the Word of the Living God.  They continuously live for the world and will do WHATEVER they need to do to get ahead in this life, even if it is VILE, DEPRAVED, DECIETFUL or ROTTEN to the CORE.  They become SLAVES to their sins. 

 

David declares that he will have NO part in it.  In other words, he will NOT participate in their actions.  Nor will he give SUPPORT or APPROVAL for what they do.  He also declares that those who possess a PERVERTED HEART will be far from him.  He will NOT take part in their actions, but will SEPARATE himself from them.  He will have NOTHING to do with what is evil. 

 

When a person, who possesses a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, PARTICIPATES or APPROVES of the actions of an UNBELIEVER, they WILL come under CONVICTION, and will be miserable and wretched until they SEPARATE themselves from the sinful actions and CONFESS THEIR sinful actions to the HOLY RIGHTEOUS JUDGE of the world, seeking His FORGIVENESS.

 

If you have NOT come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, then you are living in a state of VILENESS, SINFULNESS, DECIETFULNESS, and may even possess a PERVERTED HEART, and are on your way to an ETERNITY in Hell.  However, God is giving you the opportunity NOW, to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and like King David, be one that is seeking after God’s own HEART.  Do it NOW while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“The Consequences of Unbelief”

 

 

So, as the Holy Spirit says:  “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness.  

That is why I was angry with that generation; I said, “Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known My ways.”  So I declared on oath in My anger, “They shall never enter my rest.”        Hebrews 3:7, 10, 11

 

These are the very same words in Psalm 95:7-11, the Psalmist, is speaking to the nation of Israel, calling them to a period of worship. It is a WARNING that is repeated here in the book of Hebrews.  It clearly tells us the CONSEQUENCES awaiting those who are UNBELIEVERS.

 

The writers of both these passages begins with the word “TODAY,” indicating the time frame of this WARNING.  They are saying that the time to act is NOW, not TOMORROW, but do it NOW!  What exactly were they asked to do?  They were asked to RESPOND to the VOICE of God, and to NOT HARDEN their HEARTS, as their ancestors had done in the time of their testing in the wilderness, which brought about their wandering around in the wilderness for forty years and they were NOT allowed to enter God’s rest in the PROMISED LAND.  This was the CONSEQUENCES of their UNBELIEF.

 

And so it is TODAY, the Holy Spirit of God is saying to the UNBELIEVER, “Today, if you hear His voice, DO NOT harden your hearts.”  DO NOT be DISOBEDIENT to God’s will or to His calling.  But COME to Him NOW, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and escape the CONSEQUENCES of UNBELIEF. 

 

If you HARDEN your HEART, and REFUSE His invitation to enter His ETERNAL REST, then you WILL face the CONSEQUENCES of your UNBELIEF, which includes, spending ALL of ETERNITY in Hell, the place of perpetual torment, torture, agony, pain, heartache, and despair, with NO way of ESCAPE.  However, God is giving you the opportunity, RIGHT NOW, TODAY to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a TRUE BELIEVER, escaping the CONSEQUENCES of UNBELIEF.  Do it NOW, TODAY! While you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!

“You Can Run, But You Cannot Hide!”

 

 

And no creature is hidden from His sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.          Hebrews 4:13

 

It is sometimes AMAZING at what lengths people, TRUE BELIEVERS and UNBELIEVERS, will go to, in attempting to HIDE themselves or things they are involved in, which are NOT in accordance to the Word of God, from God. 

 

In Romans 14:10-12, and 2 Corinthians 5:10, we see that we ALL must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, the TRUE BELIEVER, will then have their works examined to see what rewards they will receive and, which rewards they will lose, because of the attitude of their HEART, whether they are GOOD or EVIL.  For the UNBELIEVER their sins will be judged and they will be sentenced to an ETERNITY in Hell, with NO WAY of ESCAPE. 

 

In the verse of Scripture, today, we are told that ALL creatures and their deeds are NAKED and EXPOSED to the eyes of Him to whom we WILL give an account.  No matter how far you go to HIDE yourself or your deeds from Him, they are STILL VISIBLE to the One who will determine what your destiny will be. 

 

Will your life and deeds hold to the scrutiny of God’s judgment?  Do they conform to the Word of God?  Are they in OBEDIENCE or DISOBEDIENCE to His Word?  These are questions that NEED to be answered, and corrected, if need be. 

 

If you are a TRUE BELIEVER, check and make sure that your life and deeds are conforming to the Word of God, and that the ATTITUDE of your HEART is RIGHT and PLEASING to the One, to whom you will give an account to.

 

If you are an UNBELIEVER, you need to COME to God NOW, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and CONFORM to the WORD OF GOD with an OBEDIENT nature and be able to stand before God to receive your rewards and not your condemnation.  And remember; you CAN RUN, but you CANNOT HIDE.  Come to Him NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
