“Godly Sorrow vs Worldly Sorrow”

 

Godly Sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.     2 Corinthians 7:10

 

For the ones who have experienced GODLY SORROW, they KNOW the differences between GODLY SORROW and WORLDLY SORROW.  Whenever, God deals with a person, through the work of His HOLY SPIRIT, that person will fill SORRY for their UNGODLY BEHAVIOR, and their DISOBEDIENCE toward the HOLY, RIGHTEOUS GOD. And this SORROW may lead to REPENTANCE, and it produces in that person, a serious, sincere desire to make amends for their sins.  It also produces eagerness to justify themselves, and indignation against the things that are UNJUST, OFFENSIVE, INSULTING, or UNGODLY.  They are alarmed at their own DISOBEDIENCE towards God, and they have a READINESS to see justice done, and therefore, they are eager to prove themselves INNOCENT of such behavior.  This is GODLY SORROW, and with it comes SALVATION, with NO REGRETS.  It brings to the REPENTANT person a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD and His ONLY SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, which leads them to an ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven, with ALL its BLESSINGS. 

 

However, WORLDLY SORROW, brings a SPIRITUAL DEATH, to those who are DISOBEDIENT to GOD.  Those who have chosen a SINFUL LIFESTYLE and who continues to REJECT God’s Gift of SALVATION, through His Son, Jesus Christ. The ones, who have DECIDED to LIVE in DARKNESS, will experience WORLDLY SORROW, which produces: heartache, confusion, despair, envy, pride, and disobedience, the SORROW leads to a SPIRITUAL DEATH, which means there is NO RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD, and they have sealed their own DESTINY to an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once they are there.  It will be too late then, to try to experience a GODLY SORROW.  NOW is the TIME to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL life-style, and to TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS. BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST ACCEPT His GIFT of SALVATION, with GODLY SORROW, and experience His ETERNAL INHERITANCE in HEAVEN, provided by His Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.   Do this NOW, while you still can.   He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

“The ONLY PERFECT Sacrifice!”

 

With His OWN blood—not the blood of goats and calves—He entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption FOREVER.    Hebrews 9:12

 

The blood of goats and calves were used in Levitical sacrifices, and it was to affect an EXTERNAL PURIFICATION of the flesh.  It was NOT for the PURIFICATION of the HEART of mankind, but it was an EXTERNAL ACT, which was the EXTERNAL evidence of the PURIFICATION of sins, and it was a PURIFICATION that had to be done every time a person was CEREMONIALLY UNCLEAN.  This meant that the goats and calves had to be SACRIFICED whenever a person was considered CEREMONIALLY UNCLEAN. And this did not bring ETERNAL SALVATION.  It was an EXTERNAL purification. 

 

However, JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONE and ONLY SON, was able to SECURE ETERNAL REDEMPTION, through the SHEDDING of His OWN blood, not the blood of goats and calves, He is the ULTIMATE, FINAL, PERFECT SACRIFICE. And this SACRIFICE is MORE than an EXTERNAL purification IT is an INTERNAL purification that lasts throughout ETERITIY.   Once a person comes to the Cross of Calvary, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and the intent of being FORGIVEN, they will receive that INTERNAL and EXTERNAL purification that is ETERNAL. 

 

This BLOOD of CHRIST, which was shed for the REMISSION of SINS, for ALL MANKIND, for ALL TIME, and is carried out through the work of GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT, by JESUS CHRIST, the UNBLEMISHED, PERFECT SACRIFICE, will CLEANSE us from our SINS, PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE SINS, and EQUIP us to SERVE the LIVING GOD. 

 

In order to have this ETERNAL PURIFICATION, and an ETERNAL SALVATION, with an ETERNAL HOME in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, and to be able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, you MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sins, and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.   You MUST ACCEPT this ONLY PERFECT SACRIFICE, God’s Gift of SALVATION, and His ETERNAL PURFICIATION of your sins.  So, do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

“The Fear of Death”

 

Because God’s Children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood.  For only as a human being could He die, and only by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.  Only in this way could He set free ALL who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.     Hebrews 2:14-15

 

The fear of death is something that most people possess, especially if they are UNBELIEVERS.  Because the devil has them as a SLAVES to SIN, and their GUILTY conscience brings about the knowledge of where they will spend their ETERNITY, this brings about the FEAR of DYING.

 

Therefore, the Son of God, had to become FLESH and BLOOD, just as mankind is FLESH and BLOOD, in order to be able to bring REDEMPTION to mankind.  Jesus came to this earth to DIE.  And by DYING, He was able to CONQUER DEATH and the POWER of the devil, and his POWER of DEATH.  The Son of God, was able to do this by His DEATH and in His RESURRECTION, He CONQUERED the DEVIL, and his POWER of DEATH.  And He made the devil POWERLESS over the TRULY SAVED.  And the devil’s use of the POWER of DEATH is subject to GOD’S WILL.

 

In 1 Corinthians 15:54, we are told that when our DYING BODIES have been transformed into bodies that will NEVER die, the Scripture in Isaiah 25:8 will be fulfilled: “DEATH is swallowed up in VICTORY.  O DEATH, where is your VICTORY?  O DEATH, where is your STING?”  So, the WORK of Jesus Christ has brought to an END the FEAR of DEATH and its SPIRITUAL BONDAGE, for those who have come to the CROSS of CALVARY for their SALVATION.  Have you done this?  Or are you being held as a SLAVE to SIN and the FEAR of DYING?

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD, then you are a SLAVE to SIN, and you will have that FEAR of DYING.  But if you are WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  He will FORGIVE you, and you will have VICTORY over SIN and DEATH through our LORD JESUS CHRIST.  But you MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, and receive HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, as your ETERNAL HOME.  And ESCAPE HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, after you are there.  So, do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

“The Victory of the Cross”

 

You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away.  Then God made you alive with Christ, for He forgave all our sins.  He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.  In this way, He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities.  He shamed them publicly by His VICTORY over them on the CROSS.     Colossians 2:13-15

 

Crucifixion on the cross, was the MOST PAINFUL, DEGRADING form of capital punishment in the ancient world, this was the method that the Romans used to execute, our LORD JESUS, it was the means used for the ATONING SACRIFICE for the sins of ALL mankind.  It was/is the symbol for DYING to SELF and for SELF-SACRIFICE in FOLLOWING the LORD. 

 

The CROSS, the BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL, yet TERRIBLE CROSS, is the WAY to gain SALVATION.  It was the CRUELEST form of capital punishment, the SHAME, and PHYSICAL PAIN, was bad enough, but for OUR LORD, the SEPARATION from GOD had to be the MOST PAINFUL of all.  I truly believe that we cannot even fathom the TRUE PAIN and HEARTACHE that Jesus suffered on that TERRIBLE CROSS, yet He DID IT, in OBEDIENCE to God, and because of the LOVE and COMPASSION that He has for mankind.  The Holy Father and His Only Beloved Son, has provided a WAY for mankind to spend their ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, and to be able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you’re there.  A price had to be paid, and ONLY JESUS was WORTHY to carry-out such a plan.  He was WILLING to SUFFER, BLEED, and DIE for YOU and ME, but the VICTORY of the CROSS is the SALVATION of MANKIND. 

 

The ETERNAL SALVATION of MANKIND is the BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL part of the CROSS.  We were DEAD in our sins and because of OUR sinful nature, we were LOST and on our way to that ETERNITY in HELL, BUT God made us ALIVE in CHRIST, by FORGIVING ALL our SINS when JESUS took those sins and NAILED them to the CROSS, and CANCELED ALL the charges against us, and PAID the RANSOM for US.  He has MADE the TERRIBLE CROSS, the WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL CROSS.  He has VICTORY over the CROSS!!  Do you have VICTORY?

 

If you have NOT come to that WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, TERRIBLE CROSS, then you do not have the VICTORY to become a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD.  In order to do that, you MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS. BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and GLORY in the VICTORY of the WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, TERRIBLE CROSS.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!      

"Bless the LORD, O My Soul!"

 

“Bless the LORD, O My Soul!”

 

Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name!”  Bless the LORD, O my Soul, and forget NOT all His Benefits:  Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies.      Psalm 103:1-4

 

Mankind is privileged to be able to BLESS the LORD, this means to offer Him ALL the PRAISE that is due Him.  This way of thinking causes us to meditate on ALL of the HOLY GOD’S Benefits or all the things, which He has given and done both SPIRITUAL and PHYSICAL benefits for those who TRULY BELIEVE, such as:  He FORGIVES ALL our INIQUITIES, He cleanses our MINDS, HEARTS and SOULS, and He will ULTIMATELY HEAL ALL our DESEASES, even the SIN-SICK disease.

 

He will REDEEM our LIVES from DESTRUCTION, ETERNAL DEATH, being ETERNALLY SEPARATED from the ALMIGHTY God and ALL that is GOOD. He REDEEMS us from spending an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, after you are there.   And He CROWNS us with LOVINGKINDNESS and TENDER MERCIES by providing for us an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, made possible through the ULTIMATE, SELFLESS SACRIFICE of His ONLY SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who REDEEMED us with His own BLOOD. 

 

He gave His LIFE so that we might have EVERLASTING LIFE, in HEAVEN.  There’s ONLY ONE WAY to have this EVERLASTING LIFE, that is; coming to the FOOT of the CROSS, and be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURNING TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART. And CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, and like the Psalmist, King David, proclaim: “Bless the LORD, O my soul; And ALL that is within me BLESS His Holy Name!!” And forget NOT ALL His BENEFITS!!   So, if you have not done this, then DO it NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!! 

 

 

"I Will NEVER be SHAKEN!!"

 

“I Will NEVER be SHAKEN!!”

 

I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him.  He alone is my Rock and my Salvation, my Fortress, where I will NEVER be SHAKEN.     Psalm 62:1-2

 

King David had a STRONG and STEADFAST FAITH that afforded him the ability to WAIT QUIETLY before God.  That seems to be a problem for a lot of Christians, today, we seem to let things, even the little things, upset us and throw us into a dilemma, and brings anything, but QUIETNESS in WAITING before God.  But David tells us why he can WAIT QUIETLY before God.  First, He says that his VICTORY comes from God, just KNOWING that we have VICTORY to OVERCOME whatever is SHAKING our FOUNDATION, we can have VICTORY, because GOD alone is our ROCK, our source of SAFETY, and He is our SALVATION our DELIVERANCE, not only from our enemies, but from our OWN sinful selves.  He also is our FORTRESS, or our SECURITY, and we, like David, can be SECURE in our FAITH, and be STRONG and STEADFAST, knowing that WE will NEVER be SHAKEN.

 

This was SO very important to King David, and SHOULD be for us too, that he mentions it again in verses five and six.  Stating, not only, that God is his ROCK, SALVATION, and FORTRESS, but also that HE is David’s HOPE.  David says: “For my HOPE is in Him.”  Because God ALONE is our ROCK, our SALVATION, and our FORTRESS where we will NOT be SHAKEN.  This SHOULD be GOOD NEWS for the UNCERTAIN DAYS that are ahead of us, that is, if you are a TRUE BELIEVER, one who has come to the CROSS of CHRIST, for their SALVATION, and has TRULY given their HEART and LIFE to GOD, through the SACRIFICE of JESUS CHRIST for the FORGIVENESS of their sins.  Have you done this? 

 

In order to have a STRONG and STEADFAST FAITH, and to have the Almighty God as your ROCK, (safety), your SALVATION, (deliverance), and your FORTRESS (security), you MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN to God, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS. And BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, and be able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE once you are there, and to RECEIVE an ETERNITY in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Place ALL your HOPE in Him, and like King David, proclaim: “I will NEVER be SHAKEN!!!”  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

"The Light of Life"

 

“The Light of Life”

 

When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, “I am the Light of the World.  Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the Light of Life.”       John 8:12’

 

Have you ever had your power go off at night, and you get up and try to walk around your house, trying to find some light?  And you STUMBLE around, running into things and you grope in the darkness, tripping over things, and struggling to find some source of LIGHT.  You may be able to find a candle, but then you have to STRUGGLE to find the MATCHES to LIGHT the candle, you might find a flashlight, but then the batteries in the flashlight may be DEAD, and you have to STRUGGLE to find some batteries.  This may lead you to living a short period of time in DARKNESS.  This seems to be a good example of the life of an UNBELIEVER, who is LIVING in the DARKNESS of their SINFUL LIFE, and they seem very comfortable in that situation. 

 

Jesus told His Disciples, “Whoever walks in the DARK does NOT know where they are going.  So, BELIEVE in the LIGHT while you have the LIGHT, so that you may become CHILDREN of LIGHT.”  (John 12:35b-36)  In other words, those who are LIVING in DISOBEDIENCE to GOD, are those who are LIVING in the DARKNESS of their SINS, and they cannot SEE where they are headed. So as BELIEVERS of the LIGHT, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who is the LIGHT of the WORLD, we SHOULD be VIGILANT and STEADFAST in LIVING in the LIGHT,  so that we might become CHILDREN of the LIGHT.

 

The verdict is:  The LIGHT has come into the world, but people who live in the DARKNESS, LOVES the DARKNESS, because their deeds or actions are EVIL.  Those who live in DARKNESS, HATES the LIGHT, because they FEAR that their EVIL DEEDS will be EXPOSED.  But for those who LIVE in the LIGHT, and by the TRUTH, they will come into the LIGHT, so that their GOOD DEEDS and OBEDIENCE to the ALMIGHTY GOD, may be PLAINLY SEEN.  Are you living in the DARKNESS?

 

 JESUS is the LIGHT of the WORLD, if you will come to Him, you will be in the LIGHT, and if you choose to FOLLOW Him, you will NEVER WALK in DARKNESS, but you will have the LIGHT of LIFE, and will be able to have an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, and you will be able to ESCAPE HELL with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE after you are there. This is what you MUST DO to be able to WALK or LIVE in the LIGHT:  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST as your LIGHT of LIFE, and you will NEVER WALK in DARKNESS again.  So, do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!
