“There’s Coming a Day”

 

For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.   And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And thus, we shall ALWAYS be with the Lord.    1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

 

This is a description of the DAY or TIME when the LORD JESUS CHRIST comes to RAPTURE the Church or the TRUE BELIEVERS. This word “RAPTURE” is the same as being “CAUGHT-UP”.  It will be carried out VERY DRAMATICALLY and with a lot of FORCE.  The Scripture tells us that the LORD, HIMSELF will descend from Heaven with a SHOUT, with the VOICE of an archangel, and then the TRUMPET of GOD will sound. And the Dead in Christ will RISE first.  Can you just imagine what it would be like, to be in the cemetery when that happens?  All the BODIES coming UP out of the ground, although it will happen in the BLINK of an eye, so you would miss it.  And if you are a TRUE BELIEVER, you will be CAUGHT-UP just as QUICKLY. 

 

We see in verse seventeen, that those who are ALIVE and REMAIN shall be CAUGHT-UP together with those who have died in Christ and meet Him in the clouds. The DEAD in CHRIST first, then the TRUE BELIEVERS.  And they will FOREVER BE with the Lord!!  What a DAY THAT WILL BE!!!  Are you READY??

 

The Lord is COMING BACK for ALL of GOD’S CHILDREN, and it WON’T BE LONG.   If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD, through the SACRIFICE of His ONLY SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, then you ARE NOT READY.  You are NOT READY to FACE JUDGMENT or the ETERNAL DESTINY of HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, after you are there.  In order to be READY, you MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ADMIT that you are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, and you MUST BELIEVE, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.   You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION and BE READY for that DAY, because WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE.  So, do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

“Set A Guard and Keep Watch”

 

Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.  Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil so that I take part in wicked deeds along with those who are evildoers; do not let me eat their delicacies.     Psalms 141:3,4

 

These verses are part of David’s evening prayer, it was a prayer for SANCTIFICATION, he wanted God to PURIFY or SET him FREE from sin.  So, he implores God to, first, set a GUARD over his mouth, to prevent him from using WRONG speech, to DIRECT his WORDS, and to KEEP WATCH over his WORDS, that they might be PLEASING to the HOLY RIGHTEOUS GOD of the ENTIRE UNIVERSE. 

 

Secondly, he implored upon God to STOP him from being DRAWN to what is EVIL, that he would NOT take part in WICKED DEEDS, along with the EVILDOERS.  And to KEEP him FROM being ENTICED to participate in their SENSUAL LUXURIES, which is GAINED by their WICKED ACTIVITIES.  David desired God’s DIVINE INTERVENTION, in order to SANCTIFY him for GOD’S PURPOSES, and NOT his own. 

 

This SHOULD BE the prayer of EVERY TRUE BELIEVER.  As human beings, we are PRONE to SIN, but as GOD’S CHILDREN, we SHOULD be PRONE to TALKING and ACTING like His CHILDREN. And to SEEK HIS HELP in EVERY ASPECT of our DAILY LIVES.  That we MIGHT be SANCTIFIED for His GOOD WORKS.  Are you SEEKING His SANCTIFICATION?  Are you SEEKING to TALK and LIVE like He wants you to?  Is it your DESIRE for Him to SET A GUARD over your MOUTH and to KEEP WATCH over the door of your LIPS?  And for Him to KEEP you from participating in WICKED DEEDS?  If NOT, you SHOULD BE, that is, if you are a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD.

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to Him, then YOU have MAJOR problems. Your ETERNAL DESTINY is spending your ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  In order to be ABLE to ESCAPE that DESTINY, You, MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And you do that by; first, ADMITTING that you are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s ONLY SON. And BELIEVE with ALL your HEART, That JESUS died for YOU, and is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you. Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and TRUST Him to SANCTIFY YOU for His PURPOSES.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

“The Witnesses and the Servant”

 

“You are My Witnesses,” says the LORD, “And My Servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He.  Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me.”   Isaiah 43:10

 

This was a message from the LORD GOD to the Nation of Israel, but I believe that it could very much be, a message for the Church, the Body of Christ, the TRUE BELIEVERS.  I TRULY BELIEVE that God wants the TRUE BELIEVERS, to be HIS WITNESSES and His SERVANT, because they ARE HIS CHURCH and the BODY of Christ.  If you notice the word WITNESSES is plural, which means that it is indicating INDIVIDUALS and NOT the whole.  However, the Church is comprised of the INDIVIDUAL BELIEVERS, and it is the job of EACH ONE to be a WITNESS to a LOST and DYING world, as to what GOD ALMIGHTY has done in their lives and what He has PROVIDED for them throughout ALL of ETERNITY. 

 

The CHURCH is a SINGLE UNIT, made up of MANY TRUE BELIEVERS, and as the CHURCH, they who are many come TOGETHER as ONE BODY, with MANY different parts, yet they are ONE and they, the BODY, are CHOSEN to be GOD’S SERVANT.  Meaning they SERVE HIM, FIRST and FOREMOST, then they SERVE each other, working TOGETHER, to do the WILL of the FATHER, the ONE and ONLY GOD, there is NO OTHER, GOD, and there has NEVER BEEN nor SHALL there EVER be another GOD. And there is NO OTHER SAVIOR of MANKIND.  He came in the FLESH, as the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and dwelt among mankind, and gave HIS OWN LIFE to SAVE them from their SINFUL WAYS. To SECURE for them an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, and to be able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS.  And He is the ONLY HOPE for a LOST and DYING world.  Do you BELIEVE in the ONLY, ONE TRUE GOD, and HIS SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST?  Do you BELIEVE that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, NOW, waiting for FATHER GOD to SAY: “SON, GO get MY CHILDREN?”  Do you BELIEVE that HE is the ONLY TRUE SAVIOR, the ONLY HOPE for the souls of mankind?

 

If you do not BELIEVE the things I have told you, and you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are DESTINED to spend your ETERNAL LIFE in HELL, with NO WAY to ESCAPE, after you are there.  In order to change your ETERNAL DESTINY, you MUST first ADMIT that you are a SINNER in NEED of the ONLY SAVIOR, God’s ONLY SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. And BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God.  CONFESS your sins to Him, and with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, and become one of HIS WITNESSES and a part of His BODY, the CHURCH, His SERVANT.  DO this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

“The Path of the Righteous”

 

The way of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.  Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, O Lord, we have waited for You eagerly; Your Name, even Your Memory, is the desire of our souls.    Isaiah 26:7-8

 

I read a very INSPIRING book, a long while back, the title was “The Bumps Are What You Climb On, it was VERY WELL WRITTEN by the late Warren Wiersbe.  In this book, we are INSPIRED to have an UNDAUNTING HOPE and PEACE of MIND, in facing times of crises, depressions frustrations and disappointments.  It encourages the reader to TRUST in GOD’S PROMISES, and to receive ALL the BLESSINGS of FORGIVENESS. 

 

I believe that Isaiah is giving us that same INSPIRATION, in these verses of Scripture.  We who are God’s TRUE Children, and are RIGHTEOUS, know that our paths, sometimes, are NOT very SMOOTH, but when we put our FAITH and TRUST in the HOLY GOD, and do not GIVE-UP, but PRESS-ON, we find our paths get SMOOTHER, because of the TRUST we have in the HOLY, RIGHTEOUS GOD, we serve.  He will HELP make our PATHS LEVEL, and we LEARN to TRUST HIM MORE. 

 

When we are OBEDIENT to His Judgments, He will bring us SAFELY down those PATHS we MUST TRAVEL, those BUMPS, we may encounter along the way are but STEPPING STONES to a SMOOTHER and MORE LEVEL PATH.  And we can find CONTENTMENT in KNOWING that we have been FAITHFUL to His JUDGMENTS and hear Him say: “WELL DONE, GOOD and FAITHFUL SERVANT.”  And with GREAT ANTICIPATION, and EAGERNESS, we WAIT for His RETURN, so that our SALVATION will be made COMPLETE.  So, how are your paths?

 

If you are an UNBELIEVER, who tries to live this life on your own, without ANY HELP from ANYONE to include GOD, then your ROUGH, BUMPY, paths, are probably getting ROUGHER and BUMPIER with each step you take.  The Bible tells us that:  The wicked will look around in despair and find that there is NO WAY to ESCAPE.  Their one hope is that death will come.  (Job 11:20) Is this your ETERNAL DESTINY?  It will be unless you are WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And ADMIT that you are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who died in YOUR place, for your REDEMPTION, and to FREE you from an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY of ESCAPE.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that JESUS did DIE for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION and TRUST in Him to help your PATH be SMOOTH and LEVEL, and Receive HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS as your ETERNAL HOME.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

“The Three Witnesses”

 

This is He who came by water and blood---Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood.  And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is TRUTH.  For there are three that bear witness in Heaven:  The Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.  And there are three that bear witness on earth:  The Spirit, the water and the blood; and these three agree as one.    1 John 5:6-8

 

The Object of our FAITH, should ALWAYS be the One, the LORD JESUS CHRIST who came by WATER and BLOOD.  The WATER refers to His Baptism, which KICKED-OFF His Ministry.  And the BLOOD refers to His DEATH, which brought His earthly work to an END.  Yet His MISSION is STILL going on to this very day.  And it is carried out through the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT, and because He is TRUTH, He can bear WITNESS to the DIETY of JESUS CHRIST. 

 

At the BAPTISM, (the Water) of JESUS, the Father God, and the Holy Spirit testified to the Son, (the Word), and ALL through JESUS’ Life and Ministry, the Spirit testified concerning His identity.  Even the DEATH (the Blood) of JESUS, testified to His identity.  The three that bear witness, on Earth, to His identity are the SPIRIT, the WATER and the BLOOD.  And they all three AGREE as ONE.  The Witness of God is GREATER than the witness of mankind, so, if we RECEIVE and BELIEVE the witness of MANKIND, we SHOULD RECEIVE and BELIEVE, even MORE the WITNESS of The HOLY, RIGHTEOUS GOD, which is:  “He who BELIEVES in the Son of God has the WITNESS in himself; he who does NOT BELIEVE God has made Him a LIAR, because he has NOT BELIEVED  nor ACCEPTED the TESTIMONY, which God has given of His SON, that those who BELIEVE have been given ETERNAL LIFE through His SON.”   Have you BELIEVED and RECEIVED God’s WITNESS of His Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST?

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you do NOT have ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, but you are FACING an ETERNAL LIFE in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  However, if you will BELIEVE and RECEIVE the TESTIMONIES of the THREE WITNESSES, concerning the identity of JESUS CHRIST, you can have ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  This is what you MUST DO:  ADMIT that you are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS DIED for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD. You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, and the TESTIMONY of the THREE WITNESSES and BELIEVE and RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

"ONCE"

 

“ONCE”

 

And as it is appointed for mankind to die ONCE, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered ONCE to bear the sins of many.  To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for SALVATION.   Hebrews 9:27-28

 

This word ONCE, has a ring of finality about it.  It doesn’t mean NUMEROUS TIMES, but ONLY ONCE.  Jesus Christ, God’s ONLY SON, did not come on our behalf, with the blood of goats and calves, as they did in Old Testament times, but He came and LAID down His OWN LIFE, with HIS OWN BLOOD, He entered the Most Holy Place ONCE for ALL, having obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION.  His BLOOD and His Life was SUFFICIENT to take away ALL the SINS of ALL mankind from Adam to the very LAST person to ever be born.  NOT that He should OFFER Himself OFTEN as the OLD TESTAMENT Priests did EVERY YEAR with the blood sacrifice of a spotless Lamb.  His PERFECT SACRIFICE was ONCE for ALL. 

 

He put away sin by the PERFECT SACRIFICE of HIMSELF.  Just as it is appointed for mankind to die ONCE, and after that the JUDGMENT.  Jesus Christ, died ONCE to OFFER Himself to bear the sins of MANY.  And to those of us who EAGERLY wait for Him He will come a SECOND TIME, but NOT to BEAR SINS, but to bring with Him the ETERNAL INHERITANCE, of which, we are CO-HEIRS with JESUS CHRIST.

 

However, there are MANY who are NOT looking EAGERLY to His SECOND COMING.  Because they are facing an ETERNAL JUDGMENT, in which, they will be CONDEMNED for their REJECTION of God’s ONCE for ALL, SACRIFICE, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  If they CONTINUE in their SINS and REBELLION, their ETERNAL INHERITANCE, will be an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, after they are there.  But God is giving them another opportunity to TURN AWAY FROM their sinful life-style, and to TURN TO HIM, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  All they have to do is:  Admit that they are a SINNER, in NEED of a SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  And BELIEVE, with ALL their HEART, that JESUS died for THEM, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for them, before God.  They NEED to CONFESS their sins to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  They MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, ONCE and for ALL, and wait EAGERLY for His RETURN.   If you are one of them, then do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!

 

 

"An Undivided Heart"

 

“An Undivided Heart”

   

Teach me Your Way, LORD, that I may rely on Your Faithfulness; give me an UNDIVIDED heart, that I may fear Your Name.    Psalm 86:11

 

This verse of Scripture is a portion from one of David’s prayers to the ALMIGHTY GOD.  And I think we, who are TRUE CHILDREN of the LIVING GOD, can gain insight, as how to CONNECT with God, that would HONOR Him and be from an UNDIVIDED HEART.

 

First, David implores God to TEACH him, His Ways, so that David would be ABLE to KNOW God better, and to have the ASSURANCE of GOD’S FAITHFULNESS unto him.  So that he might FOLLOW God’s DIRECTIONS and become MORE OBEDIENT to God’s LAWS and His WAYS.  And that he, David, would put his WHOLE TRUST in his CREATOR, GOD. 

 

Then David asked God for an UNDIVIDED HEART, that he might be TOTALLY SOLD OUT to his Master.  And with that UNDIVIDED HEART came an UNDIVIDED LOYALTY.  Then we see in verse 12 a VOW, David made to God, that he would PRAISE Him with a WHOLE HEART, UNDIVIDED and LOYAL to the end.  David’s desire was to GLORIFY GOD, and to REVERENCE His Name.

 

If you are a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD, have you asked Him to TEACH you HIS WAYS, with an UNDIVIDED HEART, so that you might be OBEDIENT in FOLLOWING GOD’S LAWS and His WAYS?  And do you have COMPLETE TRUST in Him as your SAVIOR and LORD?  Are you WILLING to have an UNDIVIDED HEART and an UNDIVIDED LOYALTY to Him?  You can if you will only ASK.

 

However, if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are NOT His TRUE CHILD, and you are putting your DESTINY at a HUGE RISK.  Your DESTINY, NOW, is an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  In order to CHANGE that, you MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And ADMIT that you are a SINNER in NEED of a SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONLY SON, who gave His OWN life to SAVE yours from an ETERNITY in HELL.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS died for YOU, and that HE is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, with an UNDIVIDED HEART and an UNDIVIDED LOYALTY.  And PRAISE Him for HIS UNFAILING LOVE, ABUNDANT MERCY and AMAZING GRACE.  And spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  So, do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!
