“From Curse to Blessing”

 

But by becoming a curse for us Christ has redeemed us from the curse that the Law brings; for the Scripture says, “Anyone who is hanged on a tree is under God’s curse.”  Christ did this in order that the blessing which God promised to Abraham might be given to the Gentiles by means of Christ Jesus, so that through faith we might receive the Spirit promised by God.      Galatians 3:13-14

 

The act of REDEMPTION, for ALL of mankind, was made possible by Christ Jesus becoming a CURSE for us.  He REDEEMED us from the CURSE of the Law:  The Scripture in Deuteronomy 21:23 says:  “…anyone who is hung on a tree is under God’s curse.” Jesus took the penalty for ALL the GUILTY lawbreakers.  So the CURSE of the Law was placed on Christ, the SINLESS one, instead of the sinners.  He was the ONLY ONE who could DELIVER sinful mankind from the CURSE.

 

In verse fourteen, we see two purposes of Christ’s REDEMPTIVE WORK.  First is; that the BLESSING given to Abraham might be given to the Gentiles.  This promised BLESSING was the BLESSING of JUSTIFICATION, apart from the works of the Law, and was available to ALL who BELIEVE.   Secondly, that ALL who BELIEVE would receive the PROMISE of the Spirit or the Holy Spirit.  It is again emphasized that SALVATION and SANCTIFICATION is provided by FAITH, and NOT by WORKS.

 

So, ALL mankind, who comes to Jesus Christ for the REDEEMING WORK of SALVATION, through FAITH, is set free from the CURSE and will receive the BLESSING of JUSTIFICATION, and the presence of the PROMISED Holy Spirit of God.  Which will you receive the CURSE or the BLESSING?

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are still under the CURSE, and will NOT receive the BLESSING of JUSTIFICATION or the SPIRIT of God.  And your destiny will be an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY of ESCAPE.  In order to CHANGE your DESTINY, you MUST TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and be set FREE from the CURSE and RECEIVE the BLESSING.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
