“The Source of My Strength, The Song in My Heart, The Salvation of My Soul!”

 

 

The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.          Psalm 118:14

 

 

In verse eight of this Psalm, the Psalmist says:  “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.”  The reason behind this acclamation is that the Psalmist KNEW that the STRENGTH of the Lord far surpasses the STRENGTH of the strongest man alive.  The Lord’s STRENGTH is beyond comprehension.  It goes far beyond anything we could ever imagine.  It NEVER weakens or fails, but is from everlasting to everlasting. 

 

We, who are the TRUE Children of the Living God, can tap on that STRENGTH at any time we are in NEED, and we will receive His STRENGHT to see us through the worst of the worse.  HE IS MY STRENGTH!!  Praise God!!

 

The Lord is my SONG! He puts JOY UNSPEAKABLE into the HEART of His REDEEMED CHILD.  Whenever, they are down spiritually or facing difficulties, all they have to do is start singing and praising Him and before long their spirit is lifted and they can say, “HE IS MY SONG!”  Even when they don’t feel like singing. 

 

The Lord is my SALVATION.  He has come to deliver me from my plight of sinfulness and helplessness.  He has provided a WAY for me to come to Him and to escape the ravages of Hell, that place of eternal torment, torture, agony, misery and pain.  He is my DELIVERANCE, He is my HOPE, He is my REDEEMER, HE IS MY SALVATION!! 

 

If you have not come to Him for the SALVATION of your soul, you are destined for the ravages of Hell, that place of eternal torment, torture, agony, misery and pain.  But He has provided a WAY for you too, to come to Him and escape Hell.  You do that by coming through the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, by:  CONFESSING your sins to God, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and be DELIVERED from your plight of sinfulness and helplessness, and let Him be your STRENGTH, SONG, and SALVATION.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.          Colossians 2:6

 

 

There are some people who make a profession of faith, or walk the aisle of a church and shake the pastor’s hand, and believe that when they repeat a few chosen words, that makes them a Christian and they can CONTINUE to live their lives the same way as before they made any kind of movements indicating that they are now a TRUE BELIEVER. 

 

Well, that is NOT how SALVATION works.  There are a lot of people who have gone through the actions, and in their MINDS, they are headed to Heaven when they leave this world.  However, SALVATION MUST be a HEART thing, not just HEAD KNOWLEDGE, but a true REPENTANT HEART KNOWLEDGE.  KNOWING what to do and doing it is DIFFERENT than KNOWING and BELIEVING in your HEART and then following your HEART’S direction. 

 

When a person comes to the Lord for the SALVATION of their soul, they MUST come with a TRULY REPENTANT HEART.  And when they come ACKNOWLEDGING that they are a SINNER in need of a SAVIOR and seeking FORGIVENESS for their sins, then they will be able to obtain TRUE SALVATION. 

 

When there is a TRUE act of SALVATION, then that person should have a desire to GROW in their FAITH and to be ROOTED and BUILT-UP in Christ.  They accomplish this by getting involved in a STRONG, BIBLE-BELIEVING, BIBLE PREACHING and TEACHING church, and as they LEARN and GROW, they become STRENGTHENED in their FAITH and are POSSESSING a TRUE SALVATION experience, and NOT like some who may PROFESS it, but don’t really POSSESS it.

 

When a TRUE BELIEVER LIVES their life in Christ Jesus and is able to TRULY PROFESS what they TRULY POSSESS, it should fill their HEART to OVERFLOWING THANKFULNESS to God for His GRACIOUS and MERCIFUL gift of SALVATION. 

If you have NOT TRULY come to God with a TRULY REPENTANT HEART for the FORGIVENESS of your sins, then you do NOT POSSESS what you may PROFESS, that being,  the HOPE of Heaven, and God’s gift of SALVATION, instead you are headed for an eternity in Hell.  You can change your present destination by coming to God and CONFESSING your sins to Him, asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and be ROOTED, BUILT-UP, STRENGTHENED and OVERFLOWING with THANKFULNESS. ‘The days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah.   ‘In those days and at that time I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David’s line; He will do what is just and right in the land.   In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety.  This is the name by which it will be called:  The Lord Our Righteous Savior.’          Jeremiah 33:14-16

 

 

God spoke to His prophet, Jeremiah, concerning the FUTURE of Israel and Judah, and the fulfillment of His GOOD PROMISE that He made to the people there.  

 

God was telling Jeremiah about a time when the nation of Israel would be restored, and the righteous Branch of David will rule over a united monarchy, the nation will experience PEACE and PROSPERITY.  The New Covenant will bring about CLEANSING from sin, and the city of Jerusalem will be rebuilt as a HOLY CITY that will NEVER be destroyed again. 

 

These promises goes beyond anything that Israel has experienced throughout her history.  Their fulfillment will occur ONLY in the MILLENNIAL AGE, when the Messiah’s kingdom has been established. 

 

Then the city of Jerusalem will take on the characteristics of the Righteous Branch of David, the Messiah, our Lord Jesus Christ, who will dwell there. 

 

God will FULFILL His GOOD PROMISE to Israel and Judah, and He WILL FULFILL HIS promise of SALVATION for ALL mankind.  He has already provided the way for mankind to come and receive His GOOD PROMISE of SALVATION, through the shed blood of His Only Begotten Son, the Righteous Branch of David, the Messiah, our Lord Jesus Christ, He is the ONLY way to gain access to Father God.   Without Him you are FOREVER lost. 

 

Have you ever come to God for the SALVATION of your soul?  You must come to Him with a REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and receive His GOOD PROMISE of Heaven for ALL eternity.  The ONLY alternative is HELL, a place of torment and agony.  So come to Him NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

And do this, understanding the present time:  The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.  The night is nearly over; the day is almost here.  So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.          Romans 13:11-12

 

The Lord Jesus Christ is coming back to Earth in two stages, the first stage is the being ‘caught-up’ of all the TRUE believers, which is also known as the “Rapture.”  That is the time when ALL TRUE BELIEVERS will be SUDDENLY, SWIFTLY, IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE, caught up from the earth, and carried into Heaven.

 

The Second Coming of Christ is when He returns with ALL the TRUE BELIEVERS, those of the past, who died in Christ, and those who were RAPTURED from the earth. He will return to claim His RIGHTFUL position as KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS, and will set up His kingdom on earth for His thousand year reign.

 

The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Roman believers, gives them a WAKE-UP call, because Paul believed that Christ’s return was imminent even in his day.  He told them that their SALVATION was nearer than when they first believed.  Basically, what Paul was saying was that, the work of their SALVATION was soon to be completed, and that the DAY of reckoning was almost upon them.  So their lives needed to be CLEANED-UP, to do away with ANY deeds of darkness, (sins) and to prepare themselves by putting on the armor of light or by TURNING AWAY from ANY sins they were participating in, and confessing them to God and asking for His forgiveness, because the Bridegroom cometh and they needed to be READY.

 

My question for you is:  Are you READY?   The DAY that Paul was referring to will be the beginning of the culmination of time as we know it.  The END of the Age, the FINAL call is being given throughout the earth for the REDEMPTION of ALL MANKIND.  Many will ignore it, or reject His invitation to become a part of His family, and will ultimately end up in the place of torment, torture, agony and pain, that place known as HELL. 

 

If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are NOT READY for this CLIMATIC part of God’s Plan for His creation.   However, He is giving you the opportunity NOW to come to Him and escape the inevitable destination of HELL.  You come with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and BE READY for His coming.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

The Prescription for Sin-sickness!

 

 

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity.  I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.”  And you forgave the guilt of my sin.          Psalm 32:5

 

 

The first part of the PRESCRIPTION for SIN-SICKNESS is ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.  You MUST acknowledge that you NEED help with your spiritual illness.  When you ACKNOWLEDGE you are SIN-SICK, then you are on your way to being SPIRITUALLY HEALED.  And you must NOT try to HIDE your sins, you can’t HIDE them from God, because He is ALL KNOWING and so you are just trying to deny your illness, which will only get worse as you ignore your NEED.

 

The second part of the PRESCRIPTION is to CONFESS to the Lord God your transgressions or sins.  And with a TRULY REPENTANT HEART, ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  His FORGIVENESS is the MIRACLE MEDICINE that will cure you of the guilt of your sin and will be the antidote to the sin itself. 

 

The Great Physician, Himself has provided the necessary medicine for your cure.  His precious, LIFE-SAVING BLOOD, is the cure-all for any SIN-SICKNESS.  And when we partake of this PRECIOUS medicine, we will be HEALED from our SIN-SICKNESS.  Whenever it tries to come back on you, you just take the NECESSARY steps of the PRESCRIBED MEDICINE, which are:  ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, OPENESS, CONFESSION and FORGIVENESS, and you can thwart it off.  

 

If you are living with SIN-SICKNESS, you are only going to get worse and will end up with a SPIRITUAL DEATH that will put you in HELL, the place of perpetual torment and agony.  But God is giving you the opportunity NOW to get HEALED and receive His gift of ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven, where there is NO torment or agony ever.  All you need to do is come to Him, with a TRULY REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and be HEALED from your SIN-SICKNESS.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“As the Day Approaches”

 

Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another---and all the more as you see the Day approaching.          Hebrews 10:24-25

 

It was the Author’s, (whom I believe to be the Apostle Paul), desire that those of TRUE, ABIDING FAITH, encourage and spur on each other in their actions of LOVE and GOOD DEEDS.  And NOT to give up in being FAITHFUL to meeting together, and NOT lose heart, and abandon their FAITH as some were already doing.

 

It was and STILL is today, the ministry of a TRUE BELIEVER, to be FAITHFUL to the coming together as the body of Christ, in order to gain a STRONG ABIDING FAITH, and to LOVE and ENCOURGAGE each other.  So that we might be a tribute to our FAITH, and all the more as we acknowledge and see that the DAY approaches. 

 

Then the Lord will find us FAITHFUL to Him, and will bless us for our STRONG, ABIDING FAITH. We will be a reward to Him and worthy of His blessings, because of our OBEDIENCE and tenacity in STAYING STEADFAST, and HOLDING on to our FAITH. 

 

We can only accomplish this by our coming together in LOVE, ENCOURAGING each other, and NOT giving up, but PRESSING ON towards the goal that has been set before us until the DAY approaches when our Lord comes to take us home to be with Him for ALL of eternity.

 

If you have NOT come to God with a REPENTATIVE HEART, for the FORGIVENESS of your sins, then you are headed for an eternity of heartache, torment, torture and unending despair.  Come NOW, and TURN FROM your sins, and receive SALVATION with the HOPE of Heaven.  You do that by:  CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and meet together with other TRUE BELIEVERS, encouraging each other in LOVE and GOOD DEEDS, acquiring a STRONG, ABIDING FAITH, as the Day approaches.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

 

 

 

"The Supremacy of Jesus Christ"

“The Supremacy of Jesus Christ”

 

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For in Him all things were created:  things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.  He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.  And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy.          Colossians 1:15-18

 

In these passages of Scripture, the Apostle Paul lists five characteristics of Jesus Christ, which qualifies His SUPREMACY.  They are:  (1) He is the “image of the invisible God.”  He is the manifestation of the invisible God, or God in the flesh.  Jesus said; “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father (God).  So Christ’s SUPREMACY is first shown in His relationship with Father God, and because of His PERFECT manifestation of God, Jesus Christ is SUPREME.    

(2) His SUPREMACY is proven by “His relationship to Creation.”  He was the FIRSTBORN, in other words He PRECEDED all of Creation, and He was SUPERIOR to ALL of Creation, thus the term “FIRSTBORN” gives Jesus Christ His SUPREMACY, because of His PRIORITY IN and SUPERIORITY OVER Creation. 

(3) Jesus Christ is the CREATOR, for in Him ALL things in Heaven and on earth were created.  And because He is the CREATOR He is BEFORE ALL things and He SUSTAINS ALL things.  He was the MASTER CRAFTSMAN of the Creation, thus because of His POSITION in Creation He has the SUPREMACY.  

(4)  He is the “HEAD of the body, the CHURCH;” He is Lord over the CHURCH, which is the invisible body that is made up of ALL BELIEVERS, regardless of nationality or gender, when a person comes to Jesus Christ for their SALVATION, they are then brought into the body of Christ, the Church by the work of the Holy Spirit.  And because of Jesus Christ being the HEAD of that SPECIAL body, He has the SUPREMACY. 

(5)  Jesus Christ is the “BEGINNING and the FIRSTBORN from among the dead.”    1Corinthians 1:20; “But Now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep (died).”  Jesus Christ was to be the FIRST FRUIT or the FIRST of those who died, as believers, to enter Heaven and He was able to do this because of His VICTORY over death and the grave.  He has the SUPREMACY.

 

Just the thought that SOMEONE of that SUPREMACY would come to earth as a babe to a poor family and live a short meager life with NO earthly accolades or rewards for ALL that He did. Yet what He did receive was REJECTION and DEATH on an old, rugged, wooden cross, a PERFECT sacrifice for the SALVATION OF MANKIND.  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God then you are living a life that is contrary to His will and are destined to spend ALL eternity in a place called Hell, a place of FOREVER, torment, torture, pain, agony and despair.  You will not be able to experience the LOVE of such a SUPREME BEING, unless you turn from your sinful life and come to JESUS with a REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a part of the Body of Christ, the Church, His Bride.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
