The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked.  Who really knows how bad it is?  Jeremiah 17:9

 

We live in very WICKED times. I have never heard of such EVIL things happening that are so PREVALENT in our TIME and SOCIETY.  These things are SO BAD that people don’t want to HEAR or KNOW what is happening.  They want to be like the OSTRICH and stick their heads in the sand.  These things are a REVELATION of HOW PERVERTED a lot of people's minds are and how DECEITFUL and DESPERATELY WICKED they have become.

Who REALLY knows how bad it is?  In verse ten, God says that He SEARCHES ALL HEARTS and EXAMINES the MINDS.  We can believe that God KNOWS ALL THINGS, even our DESIRES and our THOUGHTS before we, ourselves KNOW what they are.  He is ALL KNOWING, meaning that; you cannot HIDE ANYTHING from Him.  So, don’t try!

David tells us in Psalm 139, that God is EVERYWHERE.  David says to GOD: “If I ascend to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.”   So, you are already GUILTY!  And you will receive your JUST REWARDS, which you will receive according to what God deems you DESERVE.   

“But BLESSED are those who TRUST in the LORD and have made the LORD their HOPE and CONFIDENCE.” (v7) Have you done this or are you one who the LORD says: “CURSED are those who put their TRUST in mere humans, who rely on HUMAN strength and TURN their HEARTS AWAY from the LORD.” (V5)

GOOD NEWS:  You can be one of the BLESSED if you will ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, the ONLY SON of the LIVING GOD. Who SUFFERED, BLED, DIED and was RESURRECTED from DEATH and the GRAVE in order to provide you with ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven.  You MUST BELIEVE that JESUS DIED for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before GOD.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFE-STYLE and TURN to GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and BE BLESSED and NOT CURSED with an ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  So, do this NOW, PLEASE, while you STILL CAN.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!

“I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at My word.  But those who choose their own ways—delighting in their detestable sins—will not have their offerings accepted” Isaiah 66: 2b,3a

 

Isaiah’s final call to FAITHFULNESS and the DISAPPROVAL of hypocrisy is appropriate for the Israelites who could READ Isaiah’s ENTIRE message and yet REJECT their God were to be left ALONE, because they chose their OWN ways and they DELIGHTED in their DETESTABLE SINS.  And because of their UNFAITHFULNESS to GOD and their HYPOCRISY, God would choose their PUNISHMENT.

However, God tells us that He will BLESS those who have HUMBLE and CONTRITE HEARTS.  Those who RECOGNIZES and RESPECTS His SOVEREIGNTY, and who will FOLLOW His WORD.  And God wanted them to be OBEDIENT to His WORD, especially if they were to ENJOY His BLESSINGS. 

For those who desired to FOLLOW their OWN ways and REJECT GOD, they would FACE JUDGMENT, because their SACRIFICES, RITUALS and WORSHIP were nothing more than EXTERNAL.  In their HEARTS, they were EVIL and PERVERTED. And that is WHY God will bring HARSH JUDGMENT upon them. 

There is COMING a time when the MERCY and GRACE of GOD will END.  And those who have REJECTED HIM and His SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST and have decided to go their OWN WAYS and DO their OWN THINGS will be JUDGED and SENTENCED to an ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once they are there.  So, which group are you a part of?  The ONES who are BLESSED or those who will be HARSHLY JUDGED?

You MUST SINCERELY, TRUTHFULLY, and GENUINELY come to God, through His Son, the LORD JESUS, and you MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, who SACRIFICED His LIFE for YOU to be ABLE to have ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  You MUST BELIEVE with ALL your HEART, that JESUS DIED for YOU and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for YOU before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and STOP PROFESSING to belong to Him, when YOU REALLY aren’t POSSESSING His SALVATION.  If that is the case, you are running out of time, because God’s MERCY and GRACE will SOON END. So, ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST as YOUR SAVIOR and LORD, NOW, while you STILL can.  JESUS is WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t Be LEFT BEHIND!!!

God’s promise of entering His rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it.   Hebrews 4:1

 

The Children of Israel had wondered for FORTY years in the wilderness and when they reached the PROMISED LAND, a land of MILK and HONEY.  The UNFAITHFUL and DISOBEDIENT Israelites didn’t miss out on Heaven, but they missed out on the PROMISED LAND.  The REST that God has PROMISED is; the COOPERATION in and ENJOYMENT of His PLANNED BLESSINGS.

This PROMISED REST has been announced to US, (those who are God’s Children), and it is a part of our INHERITANCE. So, don’t RISK FALLING SHORT of your INHERITANCE.  If you are a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD and are SERIOUS about LIVING a GODLY LIFE, you WILL face CHALLENGES and TRIALS.  And the GODLIER you become, you will more than likely face more of those CHALLENGES and TRIALS. 

The temptation will be to “go along” with your present environment, just to EASE the PRESSURE you may encounter.  But in doing that, you will FAIL to be a PARTAKER with JESUS CHRIST and even though you WILL NOT LOSE your SALVATION, you will LOSE rewards and the PLANS that He has for you in His KINGDOM. 

New Life in Christ brings the END of SIN’S DOMINION over you.  It insures God’s Children a PERMANENT ETERNAL REST in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Are you a Child of God, and EXPERIENCING CHALLENGES and TRIALS  that hang over you like a DARK CLOUD?  Just KEEP remembering :  The BEST is yet to COME. Don’t SQUANDER your ETERNAL INHERITANCE, and MISS OUT on your REWARDS and that PROMISED REST in HEAVEN.

However, if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, through the SHED BLOOD of  His ONLY SON, the LORD JESUS, the ONE who REDEEMS MANKIND from their sins.  And will PROVIDE GOD’S PROMISED REST in HEAVEN, then you will NOT have ANY ETERNAL REST, but you will have a LOT of ETERNAL UNREST without any RELIEF.  This is what you MUST DO to ESCAPE an ETERNAL UNREST in HELL , with all its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE once you are there.   You MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, GOD’S SON, YOU MUST BELIEVE with ALL your HEART that JESUS DIED for YOU and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him, and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINS and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and EXPERIENCE His PROMISED REST throughout ETERNITY.  Do this NOW while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t Be LEFT BEHIND!!!

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  And there is NO creature hidden from His sight, but ALL things are NAKED and OPEN to the eyes of Him to whom we MUST give account.  Hebrews 4:12-13

There are some people who believe that if someone is a MEMBER of a local church, they will be let into Heaven.  Or maybe if they are KIND and do GOOD DEEDS for others, that too will usher them right into the very presence of God for ALL of ETERNITY.  So, these people do what they pretty much want to do.  After all, they don’t hurt anyone, nor do they do ANYTHING WRONG against the LAW. 

But do they KNOW what the WORD of GOD says about what makes a person a CHRISTIAN? Or do they KNOW how to LIVE their LIVES as TRUE CHILDREN of the LIVING GOD?  It is very DOUBTFUL they KNOW or even want to KNOW.  Sometimes, people are so set in their ways that they don’t want ANY kind of CHANGES.  And they are CONTENT to live like the WORLD. After all it is EASIER than TRYING to LIVE how the BIBLE teaches and ENCOURAGES us to live. 

It is ONLY the WORD of God that REVEALS what is CARNAL (worldly), and what is SPIRITUAL.  It DISCERNS what the MOTIVES of the THOUGHTS and the HEART are.  And it’s like a TWO-EDGED SWORD, it pierces to the DIVISION of SOUL and SPIRIT, and of JOINTS and MARROW. It is the LIVING, and the POWER FUL Word of God. 

It EXPOSES ALL mankind.  It lays us NAKED and OPEN to the EYES of Him to whom WE MUST give an ACCOUNT.  You cannot HIDE a THING or THOUGHT that you have done, it is ALL open and laid BARE before Him. 

So, if you are one who CLAIMS that you are a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD, but you have NOT COME through the SHED BLOOD of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, the ONLY SON of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  The One who SUFFERED, BLED, DIED and was RAISED from DEATH and the GRAVE to REDEEM mankind from an ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE once YOU are there.  You are just as GUILTY as those who have NO THOUGHT or DESIRE to be anything but LIVING a life that is CONTROLLED by the devil and have NO DESIRE to have a RELATIONSHIP with GOD or His Son. 

In order to CHANGE your DESTINY, you MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  You MUST BELIEVE with ALL your HEART that JESUS DIED for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN making intercession for you before GOD.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFE-STYLE and TURN to GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION.  And READ and STUDY the WORD of GOD, and LIVE according to it.  REMEMBER:  YOU CANNOT HIDE FROM GOD!! He SEES and KNOWS it ALL!!!  So, do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t Be LEFT BEHIND!!!

Abraham never wavered in believing God’s Promise.  In fact, his FAITH grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.  He was fully convinced that God is ABLE to do whatever He promises.  And because of Abraham’s FAITH, God counted him as RIGHTEOUS.         Romans 4:20-22

RIGHTEOUS:  Honorable, pure, upright, virtuous.

Abraham’s FAITH in God’s Promise to give the WHOLE earth to him and his descendants was NOT BASED on his OBEDIENCE to God’s Law, but it was based on a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with GOD, which comes by FAITH. (V13). If it had been based on OBEYING the LAW, then FAITH would not be necessary, and the PROMISE would be POINTLESS.

The Law brings PUNISHMENT on those who try to OBEY it.  (The ONLY way to avoid breaking the law is to have NO law to break). (V15).

So, the PROMISE is received by FAITH, and it is given as a FREE GIFT, whether or not we live according to the Law of Moses, if we have FAITH in God like ABRAHAM.  Even when there was NO reason for HOPE, Abraham KEPT HOPING—BELIEVING that he would be the father of many nations.  For God told him: “That’s how many descendants you will have!” And Abraham BELIEVED in God’s PROMISE.

Therefore, a FAITH like ABRAHAM’S brings HOPE and ASSURANCE to ALL who have put their TRUST in CHRIST JESUS, God’s ONLY SON, who SUFFERED, BLED, and DIED, and was brought back to LIFE, in order to PAY the PRICE for MANKIND’S SALVATION.  And the ASSURANCE of an ETERNAL LIFE HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS. And to be ABLE to ESCAPE an ETERNAL LIFE in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE once you are there. This is the PROMISE that God has given to EVERY BORN-AGAIN BELIEVER.

Do you have a STRONG FAITH, one that provides a STRONG HOPE and ASSURANCE of that PROMISE?? If NOT, you CAN if you will GIVE your HEART and LIFE to GOD, by COMING to CHRIST JESUS, and ADMITTING that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS DIED for YOU, and is NOW ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINS and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and TRUST in His PROMISES, with a STRONG FAITH that provides HOPE and ASSURANCE to carry on UNTIL He RETURNS.  So, do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t Be LEFT BEHIND!!!

Therefore, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in an ear in private rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.   Luke 12:3

 

Hypocrisy: A pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.

The religious leaders in Jesus's day, were always trying to trap Him.  And the crowds were thronging Jesus.  But He was not afraid of His enemy, nor was He impressed by the multitudes.  His life was one that was LIVED to PLEASE GOD and Him alone.

Jesus knew that His Disciples, (the TWELVE) were worried about the PHARISEES. So, Jesus gave them a WARNING:  FEAR GOD ALONE and NOT men.  If we FEAR GOD, we do not need to FEAR anyone or anything else.

COMPROMISING comes when we start FEARING people.  When we are PLEASING MANKIND and PROTECTING OURSELVES, then we are in danger of HYPOCRISY or PLAYACTING.  JESUS wanted His Disciples to have the RIGHT PRIORITIES in their lives.  So, He compared HYPOCRISY to YEAST.  And His Disciples were somewhat familiar with YEAST.  The fact that it begins SMALL then SPREADS and infects the WHOLE being.  Jesus told His Disciples to be on guard against the YEAST of the PHARISEES, which is HYPOCRISY.  (V1)

The religious hypocrite plays the part of a religious person, but in reality, there is NO relationship with God.  HYPOCRISY is very deceptive; it’s a LIE in ACTION.  Jesus explained it like this: “There is nothing covered that won’t be uncovered, nothing hidden that won’t be made known.  Therefore, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in an ear in private rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops” (Luke 12: 2-3).  NOTHING remains HIDDEN forever.  One day, HYPOCRISY will be EXPOSED for what it is: Nothing but a FRAUDULENT ACT. 

Do you have a TRUE, REAL RELATIONSHIP with God, by coming to Him, through His SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST?  Or are you a HYPOCRITE, playacting, to PROTECT your REPUTATION?  REMEMBER: NOTHING remains HIDDEN or SECRET forever.  One day, the HYPOCRISY will be EXPOSED. 

You can STOP being a FRAUD, and have a REAL, RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH the REAL HOLY GOD, by coming to Him by way of the CROSS of CALVARY.  To do that, you MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  And you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS DIED for you, and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ASK Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART. And DON’T BE A HYPOCRITE and up spending your ETERNITY in HELL with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t Be LEFT BEHIND!!!

“Precious in the Sight of the LORD is the death of His Saints.”  Psalm 116:15

God’s Word tells us that:  It is APPOINTED for PEOPLE to DIE ONCE, and then the JUDGMENT.  (Hebrews 9: 27) So, let’s look at what is to come, concerning the DEATH of GOD’S CHILDREN, those who are at the AGE of ACCOUNTABILITY, those who KNOW RIGHT from WRONG, and those who have, given their HEART and LIFE to GOD, through JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONLY SON, the ONLY ONE who COULD BE the SACRIFICE for MANKIND to be ABLE to LIVE in HEAVEN for ALL ETERNITY and to ESCAPE HELL with ALL it’s HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE ONCE you are there. 

EVERYONE has an APPOINTED TIME, a time when they will LEAVE this WORLD, either by DEATH or the RAPTURE.  Those who have REJECTED GOD’S SON, and continues to LIVE in an UNGODLY manner, will have an APPOINTED TIME, when they will LEAVE this WORLD, and at ANOTHER APPOINTED TIME they will face the JUDGMENT SEAT of GOD, where they will RECEIVE their JUST REWARD. 

If our Heavenly Father pays attention to the LITTLE SPARROWS and KNOWS every time one falls in death, He SURELY KNOWS and CARES about His PRECIOUS SAINTS.  And His ONLY SON, being PRECIOUS TO HIM, He was WILLING to SACRIFICE Him for MANKIND, and through the DEATH and RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST, His PRECIOUS SON who SHED His PRECIOUS BLOOD to WIPE AWAY ALL OUR SINS.  Then WE, who have GIVEN our HEARTS and LIVES to Him are PRECIOUS to the ALMIGHTY GOD. 

And the POINT of it ALL is that the DEATH of ALL HIS CHILDREN is VERY PRECIOUS to God. And just like JESUS had an APPOINTED TIME, SO DO WE!!!  Are YOU READY?

In order to be READY to meet your ETERNAL DESTINY of an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN with ALL ITS BLESSINGS, YOU MUST come to GOD with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ADMIT that YOU are a SINNER in NEED of the ONE and ONLY SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  You MUST BELIEVE with ALL your HEART that JESUS DIED for YOU and that He is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your SINS to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BE WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION and KNOW that as HIS CHILD, your APPOINTED TIME to GO HOME and be with HIM is PRECIOUS to HIM.  Do this NOW, while you STILL CAN. He is WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t Be LEFT BEHIND!!!
