“Taking the Smooth Path”

For those who are righteous, the way is not steep and rough.  You are a God who does what is right, and You smooth out the path ahead of them.  Lord, we show our trust in You by obeying Your Laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify Your Name.   Isaiah 26:7-8

One thing the Prophet Isaiah is indicating in our Scripture is; that it is a GOOD thing for people to live RIGHTEOUSLY, for those who are RIGHTEOUS, the way is NOT STEEP nor is it ROUGH.  This is because God SMOOTHS out their PATHWAY, but this does NOT mean that they will NOT have any problems, because we live in a FALLEN world, with FALLEN people, even the RIGHTEOUS will FALL into TEMPTATIONS, which will cause them to SIN.  And thus we have a situation that leads to consequences, which needs to be dealt with.  If a person is a TRUE BELIEVER and is LIVING according to GOD’S Word (Law), and their actions are FAVORABLE to God, then their consequences will be FAVORABLE.  But if they REJECT God’s Word (Laws) then they will experience CRITICAL consequences.

Another thing the Prophet indicated, was that God is RIGHTEOUS and ALWAYS does what is RIGHT.  So, those who FOLLOW His LEADERSHIP and His LAWS, and LIVE ACCORDINGLY, will find their PATH to be SMOOTHER than for those who do NOT FOLLOW His LEADERSHIP and LAWS, and through their ACTIONS, their PATH is STEEP and ROUGH.  And their DESTINY is JUDGMENT and CONDEMNATION, and they will be facing ETERNAL LIFE in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once they are there.  The ONLY WAY, to be able to take the SMOOTH PATH, which leads to an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, is to; ADMIT that THEY are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONLY SON, who SUFFERED, DIED, and was RESURRECTED from DEATH and the GRAVE, in order for YOU and ME to have that ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN.  And they MUST BELIEVE that JESUS died for THEM, and is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for them before God.  They MUST CONFESS their SINS to Him and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  They MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM their sinful life-style, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  They MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and STOP REJECTING HIM, and let Him place their feet on a SMOOTH PATH, to His SOLID ROCK. So, if you find your path to be STEEP and ROUGH, you NEED to do the above, NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!
