“Slaves of Depravity”

 

They promise them freedom while they themselves are slaves of depravity---for “People are slaves to whatever has mastered them.”  If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.   It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.       2 Peter 2:19-21

 

I believe that this passage of Scripture is pertaining to the false teachers and NEW CONVERTS, who are swayed and deceived by the teachings of the FALSE TEACHERS.  Verse nineteen, talks about the false teachers promising the NEW converts FREEDOM, while they themselves are SLAVES of DEPRAVITY.   And they are MASTERED by whatever they are SLAVES of, whether it be, sexual immorality, greed, boastful words or lustful desires of the flesh, they are SLAVES to those acts of DEPRAVITY. 

 

The NEW CONVERTS, who are as babes in Christ, are fertile ground for the false teachers, who entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error.   The false teachers secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Sovereign Lord, which will bring swift destruction on them.  Many of these NEW converts will follow the DEPRAVED conduct of the false teacher, who will bring the way of TRUTH into disrepute.   These, who teach such heresies will NOT escape PUNISHMENT on the Day of Judgment.  

 

If these NEW CONVERTS have escaped the corruption of the world by their knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then are again entangled in the DEPRAVITY of this LOST and DYING world.  They will be WORSE off at the end of their life than they were at the beginning of their rebirth.    It would have been BETTER for them to have NOT known the way of RIGHTEOUSNESS, than to have KNOWN it and rejected the TRUTH of God’s Word in exchange for the teachings of the FALSE TEACHERS.

 

Are you a NEW CONVERT, who is being fed the heresies of the FALSE TEACHERS, who are bringing the WORD of God into disrepute, and promising you FREEDOM, which they themselves lack, due to them being SLAVES of DEPRAVITY?   Maybe, you are drifting back into some of your old sinful lifestyle, or maybe you have NOT TRULY given your HEART and LIFE to God.   Well, God is waiting for you to come to HIM, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a TRUE BELIEVER, with the HOPE of HEAVEN and NOT a SLAVE of DEPRAVITY, who will spend an ETERNITY in HELL.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“Our Stronghold, Our Refuge”

 

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; He is their stronghold in time of trouble.  The Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in Him.        Psalm 37:39, 40

 

If you, by any chance, have not noticed, we are living in a very WICKED, DEPRAVED, world.  One in which the TRUE CHILDREN of the Living God are continually being provoked, persecuted, and preyed upon by WICKED and DEPRAVED people.  We are LIVING among those who, in one way or another, are LIVING in WICKEDNESS and DEPRAVITY, and are trying to make this a way of life for EVERYONE, to include the TRUE CHILDREN of God.

 

So we are held to being TOLERANT of some of their WICKED and DEPRAVED acts.  Which makes life for the TRUE BELIEVER, difficult, if not, IMPOSSIBLE, because of our RIGHTEOUSNESS, which comes from God, and the INDWELLING of God’s Holy Spirit, who tries to lead us away from such UNGODLINESS, and leads us to the PATH that God has laid out for us.

 

The BLESSING in this rather DARK scenario is; for the TRUE BELIEVER, we have a STRONGHOLD in times when we are PROVOKED, PERSECUTED, and PREYED UPON, the Lord is our STRENGTH or our STRONGHOLD.  He HELPS and DELIVERS us from the WICKED of this LOST and DYING world.  He does this by the work of His Spirit.  Sure, we suffer sometimes, but we are NOT DEFEATED.  He is just a call away, and sometimes He acts on our behalf even before we call.

 

He is also our REFUGE, our SAFE place in times of distress, we can run to Him and He will be our REFUGE, especially when we are being PREYED UPON by the WICKED of this world.   He is truly our SALVATION.  Is He yours too?  He wants to be! 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to Him, then you are part of the WICKED of this world, and are destined for an ETERNITY in Hell, the place of UNENDING torment, torture, heartache, agony, despair and pain, with NO WAY of ESCAPE!  The Lord wants to be your STRONGHOLD and REFUGE.  ALL you have to do is to TURN AWAY FROM your WICKEDNESS and TURN TO Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and be made RIGHTEOUS, and let Him be your STRONGHOLD and REFUGE.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“The Demise of FALLEN Angels and FALLEN Mankind”

 

And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling---these He has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the Great Day.  In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion.  They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.       Jude 1:6, 7

 

There are people who will close their ears and HEARTS to this post.  I have heard from some that they don’t like to hear about these things, because it’s too scary.  Well, maybe it is SCARY, however, this is the WORD of GOD and you NEED to HEAR the WHOLE TRUTH of what is waiting for those who are part of FALLEN MANKIND, those who have NOT given their HEARTS and LIVES to God, but instead, they have chosen to LIVE in their SIN.  And to be DISOBEDIENT TO God and His WILL. 

 

Even the angels who have NOT kept their positions, but abandoned their proper dwelling place by FOLLOWING the WILL of SATAN and SHUNNING the WILL of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  They were disobedient to God, and because of their disobedience and willful transgressions, they are NOW kept in DARKNESS, bound with EVERLASTING CHAINS awaiting the judgment on the Great Day.  They are FALLEN angels who will pay the price for their sins.  God is a JUST JUDGE and will send them to their JUST REWARD.

 

Just like the FALLEN angels, FALLEN mankind will face their PUNISHMENT, they will face God on that Great Day and will meet their FINAL DESTINATION, for ALL of ETERNITY.  Those who have TURNED AWAY from God and His WILL for their lives, those who are EMBRACING and LIVING in their sins, to include sexual immorality and perversion, depravity, and other UNGODLY acts of the flesh.  Those who HATE, SLANDER, GOSSIP, BACK-BITE and set out to DECIEVE, and draw others into their web of sin and disobedience.  

 

The sentence for the FALLEN ANGELS and FALLEN MANKIND is to be thrown into the Lake of ETERNAL FIRE, which there is NO WAY of ESCAPING.  Those who were a part of FALLEN MANKIND, and have died in their FALLEN STATE, are suffering in Hell, and they will be thrown into the Lake of fire also.  There is NO HOPE for them, they have REJECTED CHRIST, and have been DISOBEDIENT to God and His WILL.  However, you STILL have HOPE to escape the Lake of Fire, and to have an ETERNAL HOME in Heaven.  If you will TURN FROM your sinful ways and TURN TO God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and be delivered from your FALLEN state and brought into a REDEEMED state, with an ETERNITY in Heaven.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

 

 

"Whatever!"

“Whatever!”

 

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable---if anything is excellent or praiseworthy---think about such things.      Philippians 4:8

 

The Apostle Paul gives six things for the TRUE BELIEVERS to concentrate or dwell on:  First, we should think about WHATEVER is TRUE, today, we get a lot of “FAKE NEWS” well Paul tells us to think about the TRUE things.  The Word of God is TRUTH so we should concentrate on the Word of God.  We NEED to KNOW the TRUTH, and BELIEVE the TRUTH, and SPEAK the TRUTH.  In order to do that we MUST READ and STUDY the Word of God which is the TRUTH.

 

Secondly, we should think about WHATEVER is NOBLE.  We should think about things that are dignified and WORTHY of RESPECT.  We should concentrate on having HIGH MORAL qualities. Not practicing blatant sins and acts of depravity, those things we are told NOT to do, such as, drunkenness, sexual immorality, adultery, deceit, arrogance, lewdness, slander, malice and riotous living. 

 

Thirdly, we should think about WHATEVER is RIGHT, which means we should concentrate on conforming to God’s standards, and NOT our own.  We should want to PLEASE Him at ALL times.  When we allow His Spirit control of our every being, then we will be made RIGHT with God.

 

Fourthly, we should think about WHATEVER is PURE, which means we should concentrate on things that are UNDEFILED with moral impurity, things that are WHOLESOME and not tainted with impurities of the world.  To set your mind on PURE thoughts, thoughts that lead to PURITY in your life.

 

Fifthly, we should think about WHATEVER is LOVELY, concentrating on the things that brings PEACE and does not promote CONFLICT.  The UGLY things in life usually brings UNREST, HEARTACHE, HATRED, and a multitude of other UNLOVELY things that hinders the TRUE BELIEVER being what God wants them to be.

 

Sixthly, we should think about WHATEVER is ADMIRABLE, concentrating  on things that are POSITIVE, PRODUCTIVE, and CONSTRUCTIVE, and NOT on the NEGATIVE and DESTRUCTIVE things that brings us DOWN and with a warped frame of mind.  So these are the SIX WHATEVERS that Paul instructs us about concerning our WALK with Christ Jesus.  Do you have a WALK or LIFE with Christ?

 

If not, then it would be impossible for you to apply these to your life, because the HOLY SPIRIT of the Living God, indwells the TRUE BELIEVER, and assists them in applying these SIX WHATEVERS to their life with Christ, since you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God then you do NOT possess the Holy Spirit, and you are living in sin, and destined for an ETERNITY in Hell, unless, you come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING, your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT God’s gift of SALVATION, and receive His Holy Spirit, who will HELP you in applying these SIX WHATEVERS to your life, and will give you ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

 

"Wisdom from Heaven"

“Wisdom from Heaven”

 

But the wisdom that comes from Heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.     James 3:17

 

Wisdom: Good judgment, based on knowledge.  The WISDOM from Heaven is UNLIKE the WISDOM form the world.  WISDOM from Heaven, first of all is PURE; unspoiled, holy, and flawless.  It is PEACE-LOVING; it does NOT produce conflict or division, but brings PEACE and promotes PEACE.  It is CONSIDERATE; showing regard for others, thoughtful.  It is SUBMISSIVE; obedient to God’s WISDOM and LAWS. It is MERCIFUL; kind and compassionate.  It is FRUITFUL; producing GOOD fruit, or GOOD WORKS.  It Is IMPARTIAL; does NOT favor one side over another, unbiased.  It is SINCERE; truthful, and honest, genuine, real.  These are the attributes of WISDOM from Heaven. 

 

WISDOM from the world is DRASTICALLY different from the WISDOM from Heaven.  The WISDOM from the world is:  BITTER, ENVIOUS, SELFISH, CONTROLLING, CORRUPT.  It PROMOTES, and PRODUCES conflicts, not only between NATIONS, but in BUSINESSES, LEGAL AFFAIRS, and even in FAMILIES.  WORLDLY WISDOM works AGAINST the WISDOM from HEAVEN.  It can be RUTHLESS and UNMERCIFUL. There is a cliché that says:  “it’s a dog eat dog world, out there.”  And that sums it up fairly ACCURATELY.  The worldly WISDOM demeans and tries to undermine the WISDOM of God.  It works AGAINST the LAWS of God, and is BIASED to the LAWS of mankind.  Many times the WISDOM of the world is DISHONEST, UNTRUTHFUL, UNLAWFUL, and PRODUCING works of DEPRVITY, WICKEDNESS, HATE, DISCORD, and DESPAIR. 

 

Which WISDOM are you RECEIVING?  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are RECEIVING the WISDOM of the WORLD, and you are headed for an ETERNITY in Hell, the place of UNENDING torment, torture, heartache, pain, agony, and despair, with NO WAY of ESCAPE.  However, God is giving you the opportunity NOW to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING, your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and RECEIVE WISDOM from Heaven, and an ETERNITY in Heaven.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

 

 

"No Wisdom, No Insight, No Plan!"

“No Wisdom, No Insight, No Plan!”

 

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.      Proverbs 21:30

 

The Lord God is OMNIPOTENT, OMNISCIENT, OMNIPRESENT, which means that He is ALL POWERFUL, ALL KNOWING, and EVERYWHERE at the SAME TIME.  These are the attributes of the ALMIGHTY GOD, and there is NONE like Him, there is NO one nor has there EVER been ANYONE to ever possess these same attributes. 

 

There is NO WISDOM that can succeed against the Lord.  “For the foolishness of God is WISER than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.”   “It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God.”              1 Corinthians 1:25, 30

 

There is NO INSIGHT that can succeed against the Lord.  “To Him belong strength and insight; both deceived and deceiver are His.”  Job 12:16.    His insight supersedes ALL HUMAN insight.   Who can argue with God and win the argument?

 

There is NO PLAN that can succeed against the Lord.   “But many nations are gathered against you.  They say, “Let her be defiled, let our eyes gloat over Zion!”  “But they do not understand His plan, that He has gathered them like sheaves to the threshing floor.”   Micah 4:11, 12.   NO PLAN can succeed against the Lord, not even the plans of MANY NATIONS. 

 

You might possess WISDOM, INSIGHT and the capability of making SUCCESSFUL PLANS, but YOUR WISDOM, INSIGHT and PLANS CANNOT and WILL NOT succeed against the Lord.  You have NO control over your OWN ETERNITY.  If you have NOT come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING, your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making Intercession for you before God.  Then you are headed for an ETERNITY in Hell, the place of UNENDING torment, torture, pain, agony, heartache and despair.  This is God’s WISDOM, INSIGHT, and PLAN, and YOUR WISDOM, INSIGHT, and PLANS will NOT succeed against His.  So you NEED to ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and DEPEND on HIS WISDOM, INSIGHT and PLANS.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

 

 

 

"Be Reconciled to God!"

“Be Reconciled to God!”

 

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us:  We implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.       2 Corinthians 5:20

 

RECONCILIATION is the act of bringing people together.  ALL things were CREATED by God, even mankind.  And God in His INFINITE WISDOM and GRACE has brought or RECONCILED us to Himself through the work of Jesus Christ, on the cross, and has given EVERY TRUE BELIEVER the ministry of RECONCILIATION. 

 

The Apostle Paul, tells us that we are AMBASSADORS for Christ, as TRUE BELIEVERS, we are called to SPEAK on behalf of Jesus Christ, as if God were PLEADING through us:  “Be RECONCILED to God.”  Or, for you to be brought into the Family of God through the act of RECONCILIATION,  that is to be made RIGHT with God and to become the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God, through the shed blood of His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

When a person comes to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART for the SALVATION of their sinful soul, they are in the process of being RECONCILED to God.  That is the first step to TRUE SALVATION. 

 

And now I, as a TRUE BELIEVER, an AMBASSADOR for Christ, implore YOU on behalf of Jesus Christ, to be RECONCILED to God, by taking the steps needed to obtain TRUE SALVATION.  First, you MUST come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and BE RECONCILED to GOD, and become a TRUE BELIEVER, an AMBASSADOR for Christ, imploring others to come and BE RECONCILED TO GOD!  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
