"Whatever!"

“Whatever!”

 

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable---if anything is excellent or praiseworthy---think about such things.      Philippians 4:8

 

The Apostle Paul gives six things for the TRUE BELIEVERS to concentrate or dwell on:  First, we should think about WHATEVER is TRUE, today, we get a lot of “FAKE NEWS” well Paul tells us to think about the TRUE things.  The Word of God is TRUTH so we should concentrate on the Word of God.  We NEED to KNOW the TRUTH, and BELIEVE the TRUTH, and SPEAK the TRUTH.  In order to do that we MUST READ and STUDY the Word of God which is the TRUTH.

 

Secondly, we should think about WHATEVER is NOBLE.  We should think about things that are dignified and WORTHY of RESPECT.  We should concentrate on having HIGH MORAL qualities. Not practicing blatant sins and acts of depravity, those things we are told NOT to do, such as, drunkenness, sexual immorality, adultery, deceit, arrogance, lewdness, slander, malice and riotous living. 

 

Thirdly, we should think about WHATEVER is RIGHT, which means we should concentrate on conforming to God’s standards, and NOT our own.  We should want to PLEASE Him at ALL times.  When we allow His Spirit control of our every being, then we will be made RIGHT with God.

 

Fourthly, we should think about WHATEVER is PURE, which means we should concentrate on things that are UNDEFILED with moral impurity, things that are WHOLESOME and not tainted with impurities of the world.  To set your mind on PURE thoughts, thoughts that lead to PURITY in your life.

 

Fifthly, we should think about WHATEVER is LOVELY, concentrating on the things that brings PEACE and does not promote CONFLICT.  The UGLY things in life usually brings UNREST, HEARTACHE, HATRED, and a multitude of other UNLOVELY things that hinders the TRUE BELIEVER being what God wants them to be.

 

Sixthly, we should think about WHATEVER is ADMIRABLE, concentrating  on things that are POSITIVE, PRODUCTIVE, and CONSTRUCTIVE, and NOT on the NEGATIVE and DESTRUCTIVE things that brings us DOWN and with a warped frame of mind.  So these are the SIX WHATEVERS that Paul instructs us about concerning our WALK with Christ Jesus.  Do you have a WALK or LIFE with Christ?

 

If not, then it would be impossible for you to apply these to your life, because the HOLY SPIRIT of the Living God, indwells the TRUE BELIEVER, and assists them in applying these SIX WHATEVERS to their life with Christ, since you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God then you do NOT possess the Holy Spirit, and you are living in sin, and destined for an ETERNITY in Hell, unless, you come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING, your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT God’s gift of SALVATION, and receive His Holy Spirit, who will HELP you in applying these SIX WHATEVERS to your life, and will give you ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
