“Our Stronghold, Our Refuge”

 

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; He is their stronghold in time of trouble.  The Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in Him.        Psalm 37:39, 40

 

If you, by any chance, have not noticed, we are living in a very WICKED, DEPRAVED, world.  One in which the TRUE CHILDREN of the Living God are continually being provoked, persecuted, and preyed upon by WICKED and DEPRAVED people.  We are LIVING among those who, in one way or another, are LIVING in WICKEDNESS and DEPRAVITY, and are trying to make this a way of life for EVERYONE, to include the TRUE CHILDREN of God.

 

So we are held to being TOLERANT of some of their WICKED and DEPRAVED acts.  Which makes life for the TRUE BELIEVER, difficult, if not, IMPOSSIBLE, because of our RIGHTEOUSNESS, which comes from God, and the INDWELLING of God’s Holy Spirit, who tries to lead us away from such UNGODLINESS, and leads us to the PATH that God has laid out for us.

 

The BLESSING in this rather DARK scenario is; for the TRUE BELIEVER, we have a STRONGHOLD in times when we are PROVOKED, PERSECUTED, and PREYED UPON, the Lord is our STRENGTH or our STRONGHOLD.  He HELPS and DELIVERS us from the WICKED of this LOST and DYING world.  He does this by the work of His Spirit.  Sure, we suffer sometimes, but we are NOT DEFEATED.  He is just a call away, and sometimes He acts on our behalf even before we call.

 

He is also our REFUGE, our SAFE place in times of distress, we can run to Him and He will be our REFUGE, especially when we are being PREYED UPON by the WICKED of this world.   He is truly our SALVATION.  Is He yours too?  He wants to be! 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to Him, then you are part of the WICKED of this world, and are destined for an ETERNITY in Hell, the place of UNENDING torment, torture, heartache, agony, despair and pain, with NO WAY of ESCAPE!  The Lord wants to be your STRONGHOLD and REFUGE.  ALL you have to do is to TURN AWAY FROM your WICKEDNESS and TURN TO Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and be made RIGHTEOUS, and let Him be your STRONGHOLD and REFUGE.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
