“Boasting in the Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ!”

 

May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.          Galatians 6:14

 

The Apostle Paul avowed to boast ONLY in the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ.  To the Judaizers the cross was an object of shame, but to Paul it was an object of glorying.  The Judaizers gloried in the flesh and Paul gloried in the Savior.

 

To Paul the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ was the means of the world being crucified to him, and he to the world.  The world with all its enticements and alluring ways DIED to Paul and to the world Paul was DEAD.    He had become a NEW creature in Christ, and was no longer chained to the fleshly ways of a LOST and DYING world. 

 

What do we GLORY in?  Are we still chained to the fleshly ways of this LOST and DYING world? Or are we like Paul, and GLORY and BOAST about the CROSS of the LORD JESUS CHRIST?  The Bible clearly teaches us that we are to be IN the world, but NOT OF the world.  We are to be separated from the world and its ways, and to TURN to the CROSS of Christ and embrace it and GLORY and BOAST in the FREEDOM that was BOUGHT and PAID IN FULL for the REDEMPTION of ALL mankind, on that OLD RUGGED CROSS.

 

As we enter this Easter season, you will see a lot of crosses, I challenge you, whenever you see a cross, contemplate on just what that cross really means to YOU.  What do you BOAST and GLORY in? 

 

If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are like the Judiazers, and you will BOAST and GLORY in the ways of this LOST and DYING world, which is doomed to destruction, and you will be doomed to spend an ETERNITY in Hell, a place of torment, torture, pain and agony.  But God in His INFINITE MERCY and AMAZING GRACE has provided a way for you to come to the cross of Christ by: CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and start BOASTING and GLORING in the CROSS of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and let the world and its ways DIE to you, and you to the world.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
