“Who is the Liar?”

 

 

Who is the liar?  It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ.  Such a person is the antichrist---denying the Father and the Son.  No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.       1 John 2:22-23

 

The question is:  “Who is the liar?”  John tells us who that person is.  He says it is the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ.  Such a person is the antichrist----denying the Father and the Son.  John was not saying that everyone who denies Jesus as the Christ, will become the antichrist of the Book of Revelations, but that ANYONE who denies that Jesus is the Christ, has the same mindset as the antichrist of the Book of Revelations. 

 

The word “antichrist” means anyone who is opposed to Christ.  The word ‘anti’ means; against; hostile to.  So an ANTICHRIST means one who operates against Christ.  They are hostile to Him and REJECT Him as the Messiah, Savior of mankind. 

 

John goes on to tell us that; “No one who denies the Son has the Father;” mainly because they are a package deal, the Lord Jesus Christ and Father God are one and the same.  Jesus said:  “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.”   He also said:  “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me;” (John 14:9, 11)   

 

So if one denies the Son, they also deny the Father.  This means that you cannot have one without the other.  Some people believe in God, but they deny that Jesus is the ONE, TRUE MESSIAH that takes away the sins of ALL mankind.  He is the ONLY WAY to get to Heaven, and to be able to come into the presence of the Almighty God.  Jesus said:  “I am the WAY and the TRUTH, and the LIFE.  NO ONE comes to the Father except through me.”  (John 14:6)   He is the ONLY ANSWER to our sin problem.  Denying Jesus as Savior and Lord is the one sin that will send people to Hell.  ARE YOU DENYING JESUS AS SAVIOR AND LORD?        

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to Jesus Christ, then you are REJECTING Him.  You are operating AGAINST Him.   You cannot work or earn your way into Heaven, a part from JESUS CHRIST.  In many instances, people believe that as long as they believe in God, that belief will get them into Heaven, and therefore they are DENYING the fact that Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY.  And they miss Heaven because of their DENIAL and REJECTION.  Who is the liar?  The one who denies that Jesus is the Christ, thus denying the Father and the SON.  Are YOU the liar?  God is giving you another opportunity to ACCEPT His Son, Jesus and receive your SALVATION.  You do that by; coming to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and the HOPE of Heaven by ACCEPTING and NOT REJECTING or DENYING His Only Begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.   Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek Him; all his thoughts are, “There is no God.”  He says in his heart, “I shall not be moved; throughout all generations I shall not meet adversity.”      Psalm 10:4, 6

 

The wicked in their PRIDE, does NOT seek after God because to them, THERE IS NO GOD!  He doesn’t exist, and therefore they are free to live their lives ANYWAY they want, because there is NO one to tell them any different.   They take PRIDE in their EVIL, WICKED SCHEMES and are determined to influence others to do the same. 

 

However, God sees it differently; Proverbs 16:18, 25, says that; “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall,” and “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” 

 

 The wicked, in their PRIDE and HAUGHTY spirit, believes that they are above reproach and can live anyway they want, they can be dishonest, partake in violence, cheat, steal, lie, and any other wicked schemes and plans they can conceive, and yet not be moved and not face adversity, but they can carry out their wicked and depraved actions and desires undisturbed by anyone, especially by a God that in their mind, does NOT exist. 

 

However, the Word of the Living God says; “I will declare my judgments against them, for ALL their EVIL in forsaking me.  They have made offerings to other gods and worshiped the works of their OWN hands.”  (Jeremiah 1:16)    The WICKED, ungodly will stand before the Lord, for Him “to execute judgment on ALL and to convict ALL the ungodly of ALL their deeds of ungodliness that they have committed in such an ungodly way, and ALL the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”  (Jude 1:15)    Their sentence will be to be thrown into the lake of fire.  “And if anyone’s name was NOT found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.  (Revelation 20:15)   

 

Those whose names are written in the Book of Life are those who have come to God, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART for the SALVATION of their soul, the TRUE BELIEVER.  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God or if you believe that; “THERE IS NO GOD,” then you are on your way to the Judgment Throne of God and your ultimate destination is the LAKE of FIRE, because your name will NOT be in the BOOK of LIFE.  But God, in His infinite MERCY and GRACE, is offering you the opportunity NOW to change your destination by, coming to Him, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and be assured that your name is written in the BOOK of LIFE.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.  As we have said before, so now I say again:  If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.            Galatians 1:8, 9

 

Those of us who PREACH and/or TEACH the GLORIOUS gospel of Jesus Christ, need to KNOW the WORD of the Living God.  We NEED to STUDY in order to “rightly handle the Word of Truth.” And to be able to impart it to those who are SEARCHING for the TRUTH, and more importantly to be able to SHARE it with those who are SEEKING SALVATION for their wretched, lost souls.

 

The Apostle Paul in his letter to the TRUE BELIEVERS in Galatia, felt STRONGLY about PREACHING and TEACHING the Word of the Living God and NOT altering nor changing ANY part of it, as was the work of the FALSE teachers of that time.  So he used a hypothetical case saying:  “if he (being a CALLED apostle), or an angel (a heavenly messenger), were to ALTER the TRUE gospel message, let them be ACCURSED or CONDEMNED for ALL eternity. “

 

In verse nine, he says that: If ANYONE is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be ACCURSED.”  The ANYONE Paul was referring to was the FALSE teachers, who were preaching something different from the TRUE GOSPEL MESSAGE, in other words, ALTERING it in ANY way, then they SHOULD be ACCURSED and come under God’s ETERNAL JUDGMENT.   Paul repeated himself, because of the work of the Judaizers in challenging the IMPORTANCE of the Cross. 

 

There was a LOT at stake here for the LOST people.  When the TRUE GOSPEL MESSAGE is CORRUPTED by the ALTERING of it, by false teachers, CONFUSION is the result and puts the LOST in GRAVE DANGER of being FOREVER LOST.  

 

So like the Apostle Paul, we who PREACH and TEACH the TRUE GOSPEL MESSAGE NEED to BE SURE that we KNOW for SURE we are PREACHING and TEACHING the TRUTH of God’s Word.  And that we DO NOT CHANGE or ALTER it in ANY way. 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to GOD then that puts you into the category of being LOST and on your way to an ETERNITY in that place called HELL, the place of torture, torment, pain, agony and despair, to name a few things that await the forever lost, however you NOW have the opportunity to change your direction, and to come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and STUDY the TRUE WORD of the LIVING GOD, that “you might RIGHTLY HANDLE the WORD,” and NOT be ACCURSED.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“Enemies of the Cross or Citizens of Heaven”

 

 

Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame.  Their mind is set on earthly things.  But our citizenship is in heaven.  And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.          Philippians 3:18-21

 

The destiny of the ENEMIES of the CROSS, the FALSE teachers, the UNBELIEVERS, is DESTRUCTION or being RUINED by being SEPARATED from God in their ETERNAL JUDGMENT. 

 

The Apostle Paul goes on to describe three characteristics of an ENEMY of the Cross; (1) their god is their stomach, which means, their main goal is to satisfy their own physical desires and their unrestrained gluttony, (2) their glory is in their shame, in other words, they sought glory for their own selves, instead of giving God the glory that was due Him.  They took pride in things they should have been ashamed of, (3) their mind is set on earthly things, they depended on earthly things in order to gain points with God.

 

Then Paul gives us a picture of the CITIZEN of HEAVEN, the TRUE BELIEVER, the TRUE CHILD of GOD.  He tells us that they are sojourners on this earth, EAGERLY awaiting the return of a SAVIOR from Heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will MIRACULOUSLY transform their lowly bodies to be just like His GLORIOUS BODY.  A body that is free from disease, death, decay, and any physical flaws whatsoever.  It will be PERFECT in EVERY WAY, and it will be fitted to withstand ALL of the GLORIES of Heaven, our CELESTIAL HOME for ALL of ETERNITY.

 

So the question that you need to ask yourself is:  “Are you an ENEMY of the CROSS, an UNBELIEVER? Or are you a CITIZEN of Heaven, a TRUE BELIEVER?”  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are an ENEMY of the CROSS, an UNBELIEVER, who is on their way to that place called Hell, the place of ETERNAL torture, torment, pain, heartache, agony and despair, to name only a few despicable attributes of this wretched place.  However, you can change your destination and CITIZENSHIP  from Hell to Heaven by, coming to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a TRUE BELIEVER, who is EAGERLY AWAITING the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, and one who is a TRUE CITIZEN of Heaven, who will receive a NEW, IMPROVED, PERFECT, GLORIFIED BODY.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“Instructions for Loving Life and Having Many Good Days!”

 

 

Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.  Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.                  Psalm 34:12-14

 

This Psalm of David gives us the formula for LOVING LIFE, and being able to see MANY GOOD DAYS.  The first thing he addresses are things we SHOULD NOT do.

(1)   Keep your tongue from evil; in other words, DON’T have a potty mouth.  DON’T say words that are, NASTY, or using GOD’S NAME IN VAIN.  DON’T say things that will bring HURT and HEARTACHE to someone.  DON’T say things that are SLANDEROUS or words that would be INFLAMETORY to another. 

(2)    Keep your lips from telling lies; this is something that seems to have become an EPIDEMIC in this world.  It’s as if the WHOLE WORLD is functioning on LIES of some sort or another.  Lying lips exemplify a DECIETFUL HEART, which is DESPERATELY WICKED.

                                                                                                                                                                

These are things that work AGAINST our LOVING LIFE and having MANY GOOD DAYS.  When we SIN against God and are DISOBEDIENT to His laws, we tend not to have a HEALTHY LOVE for LIFE, and MOST of the time, we have NOT so MANY GOOD DAYS.  But David gives us some POSITIVE things to do, which would give us a LOVING attitude towards life and provide us with MANY GOOD DAYS. 

(1)   Turn from evil; don’t go chasing after those things that goes AGAINST God’s laws.  But instead PRACTICE those things that you KNOW are PLEASING and ACCEPTABLE in His sight.  BE OBEDIENT to Him, strive to live a life that would not bring you guilt and despair. 

(2)   Do good; treat others the way you would want to be treated, with love, compassion, respect, honor, and patience.  If you see someone in need, do whatever you can to HELP them, instead of downing them or snubbing them, because they are in a lower class of society than you might be in, or they have come upon some hard and difficult times.

(3)   Seek peace and pursue it; TRY with all your HEART to be peaceable with everyone. DON’T instigate trouble or disputes, but SEEK to be a PEACEMAKER, and pursue PEACE, run after it, embrace it, practice it DAILY.

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are probably practicing the first two things, allowing your tongue to speak evil, and telling lies, and instead of TURNING FROM evil, you might be practicing evil.  If you believe that you are not doing those things and are following the last three things to do, but you still haven’t given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are still LOST and on your way to Hell, the place of torment, torture, pain, agony and despair.  You MUST come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and LOVE your LIFE, and experience MANY GOOD DAYS.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

 

"The Gates of the Righteous"

“The Gate of the Righteous”

 

 

Open for me the gates of the righteous; I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.  This is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous may enter.  I will give you thanks, for you answered me; you have become my salvation.       Psalm 118:19-21

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.    Psalm 118:29

 

Tomorrow is the day known as THANKSGIVING.  It is a time for us to reflect on all our blessings and to offer our LOVE and ADORATION to the ONE who has provided ALL that we have, ALL that we have accomplished, and ALL that we are. 

 

Sadly though, there will be many who will not even acknowledge the SOURCE of ALL that we are blessed with.  This Thursday, is a SPECIAL DAY set aside for our offering God our THANKSGIVING for ALL that He has done.  But really, we should be offering up to Him our THANKS DAILY, especially if you are a TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD.

 

The Psalmist’s words expresses his desire to go through the GATES of the RIGHTEOUS; that he might offer up his PRAISE and THANKS to the Lord.  These gates may have referred to the entrance into the sanctuary of the temple.  He goes on to say:  “This is the gate of the LORD through which the RIGHTEOUS may enter.”  It is an AWESOME thing to realize that the LORD JESUS CHRIST is our gate through which we have entrance into the very throne room of the ALMIGHTY GOD.  He is the ONE who has made us RIGHTEOUS before God.  And therefore we who are TRUE BELIEVERS, will be able to enter the GATES of the RIGHTEOUS, with PRAISE and THANKSGIVING, because of what JESUS has done for us.

 

And what He has done for us, is that He SUFFERED, BLED, and DIED, then AROSE from the GRAVE, a CONQUERER over DEATH and the GRAVE.  The one who offers ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, with FATHER GOD and His SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  This is why we can, with the Psalmist say:  “I will give You THANKS, for You answered me; You have become my SALVATION.”  Tomorrow, before we begin to sit down to eat, we need to:  “Give THANKS to the LORD, for He is GOOD; His LOVE endures FOREVER.”

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to Him.  Then you cannot enter the throne room of God, because you have not come through the GATE of the RIGHTEOUS, and you NEED to cry out to Him for the SALVATION of your soul, and enter His presence through Jesus Christ, the GATE of the RIGHTEOUS.  You do that by: coming to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and come through the GATE of the RIGHTEOUS, the GATE of the LORD, and give THANKS to Him for your SALVATION, because He is GOOD, and His LOVE endures FOREVER.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“Thanks, Lord for Your Unfailing Love!”

 

 

Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love, and His wonderful deeds for mankind.  Psalms 107:31

 

Oh, that we might realize the DEPTH and the SCOPE of God’s UNFAILING LOVE.  A LOVE that transcends the love of mankind.  It is a LOVE that has NO boundaries, it is a PURE LOVE that is NOT contaminated by jealousy, selfishness, envy, pride, or lust, but a LOVE that is FREE from ALL forms of wickedness and fleshly desires. 

 

It is a LOVE that ONLY GOD has, and in NO WAY can it be duplicated.  It is called an AGAPE LOVE, a LOVE which compelled God to look down on WRETCHED, SINFUL mankind and with COMPASSION in His HEART, that LOVE sent His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to earth to suffer, bleed and die a degrading, despicable, horrendous death on an old rugged cross.  The ONE who knew NO sin, became SIN as He WILLINGLY gave His life so that the despicable, depraved, sinful, mankind could experience the LOVE of God and be SAVED from spending an ETERNITY in Hell.

 

This is hard for us to wrap our minds around, because we cannot even imagine what kind of LOVE would cause a person to SACRIFICE their ONLY SON for people who would reject that AGAPE LOVE. 

 

If ONLY we would or could imagine the DEPTH and SCOPE of this LOVE, we would TRULY say; “Who am I that God would SACRIFICE His ONLY SON for?  Who am I that God would LOVE ME that much?  Who am I that Jesus, God’s ONLY SON, would WILLINGLY GIVE His life for?  Who am I?  Well, you’re part of God’s Crown of Creation.  And God is LOVE, and God LOVES His creation.  Jesus, being God in the flesh, LOVES you as much as God does, and He is OBEDIENT to the will of His Father. This is AGAPE LOVE, and is the MAIN REASON for us to GIVE God our THANKS.  I like to call that special Thursday, “GIVING THANKS DAY,” especially, because we who are God’s TRUE CHILDREN, have SO MUCH to be GIVING THANKS for. 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, chances are that that special Thursday, known as THANKSGIVING, is nothing more than sitting around with family and friends, and gorging yourself with lots and lots of food, in other words, indulging in GLUTTONY, and feeling miserable, without even the inkling of giving God the THANKSGIVING He deserves.  And that could be because you have NOT experienced His UNFAILING LOVE.  He is NOW giving you the opportunity to escape an eternity in HELL where you will have NO escape, and will be in torment, torture, heartache, pain and despair forever.  You can ACCEPT His AGAPE LOVE by coming to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and experience His UNFAILING, AGAPE LOVE.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

But each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.  Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.          James 1:14-15

 

A person is tempted by their own evil desire that is within them.  They are then enticed or lured into carrying out their evil desire.  Then, after the DESIRE has conceived, it gives birth to SIN, and when SIN is full-grown, it gives birth to DEATH.

 

In some cases, SIN can bring about a PHYSICAL DEATH, but the most horrific part is the SPIRITUAL DEATH, which is an ETERNAL SEPARATION from God, and ALL the GOODNESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS of the presence of the LIVING GOD. 

 

The dying process begins with the progression of a TEMPTATION, which when unchecked will develop into an EVIL DESIRE, which will conceive and give birth to SIN, and when SIN has a stronghold on the person, it becomes FULL-GROWN and gives birth to DEATH, SPIRITUAL DEATH for sure. 

 

Unchecked LUST brings about SIN, UNCONFESSED SIN brings about SPIRITUAL DEATH.  When a Christian harbors UNCONFESSED SIN, it is a tragedy, because they become a DISOBEDIENT CHILD of the LIVING GOD, their witness is ruined and their relationship with God is drastically altered, and in most cases they fall into the category of those who have “SINNED unto DEATH, which results in a PHYSICAL DEATH.  Now, the TRUE CHILD of the LIVING GOD, has access to God, and can, at any time, come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and CONFESS their SIN, and be FORGIVEN.  Then their relationship will be restored and their fellowship with God will be renewed.

 

The LOST person, who has NOT given their HEART and LIFE to God, is NOT a TRUE CHILD of the Living God, and stands in DANGER of dying a SPIRITUAL DEATH, because of their CONTINUAL rejection of God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for the remission of their sins.  This SIN of REJECTION brings about a SPIRITUAL DEATH, which means that a person, who is guilty of the SIN of REJECTION, and has crossed that deadline, cannot and will not be FORGIVEN.  However, if you are in this scenario, God is giving you one more opportunity, and it could be your LAST, to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING , with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and don’t become a victim of the genealogy of SIN, but be a part of God’s genealogy and receive an ETERNITY  in Heaven.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

"Show Me, Teach Me, Guide Me, O Lord!"

“Show Me, Teach Me, Guide Me, O Lord!”

 

 

Show me Your ways, Lord, teach me Your paths.  Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long.          Psalm 25:4-5

 

This was the heartfelt desire of King David.  He called upon the Lord to SHOW him God’s ways.  David knew the importance of KNOWING God’s ways, and the ONLY way for him to KNOW God’s ways was for God to SHOW him exactly what they were, in order for him to live according to the ways of the Living God.

 

Then David called upon the Lord to TEACH him God’s paths, in order for David to be able to FOLLOW God, he must take the RIGHT PATH.  Therefore, David must let the Lord TEACH him, that he might gain insight, and not get lost and entangled in the clinging vines of sin.  But that he would be led down the straight and narrow path, in his trek to his Heavenly home.

 

David seeks God’s guidance, when he cries to Him:  “Guide me in Your TRUTH.”  Even being a king, David knew that he NEEDED God’s GUIDANCE in TRUTH, in order to live a GODLY life.  He sought God to be his GUIDE through his life, so that he might LIVE for Him, his SAVIOR and GOD.  And AGAIN David asks God to not only GUIDE, but to TEACH him, concerning God’s TRUTH.

 

Then David ACKNOWLEDGES that his HOPE is in GOD, and NOT just for the moment but for the entirety of his life on this earth.  David knew that God is ABLE to PROVIDE for, PROTECT and PRESERVE his life, while on this earth.   His HOPE, TRULY was in the Lord!

 

We live in a world that teaches us to be SELF-RELIANT, INDEPENDENT, and SELF-SUFFICIENT.  And I guess these are attributes that can enhance our lives, but they also pose a threat to our FAITH in the Almighty God.  When we put our HOPE and FAITH in ourselves, and leave God out of our lives, we are at risk of going down the WRONG PATHS, and encountering a world of sin and temptations that can and will destroy any relationship we have or could have with God, and will put us in jeopardy of being condemned to an ETERNITY in Hell, the place of torture, torment, agony, pain, heartache and despair.   

We need to ACKNOWLEDGE the fact that we, like King David, need God to SHOW US, TEACH US and GUIDE US in His ways.  And to put our HOPE and FAITH in Him to get us through this life we must endure here on earth.

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are facing that ETERNITY in Hell.  But you are NOW given the opportunity to come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and like King David, cry out to God to; “SHOW ME, TEACH ME, and GUIDE ME!”  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“Godly Grief versus Worldly Grief”

 

 

For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.         2 Corinthians 7:10

 

When a person comes to Christ for the FORGIVENESS of their sins, they SHOULD come with a GODLY GRIEF or great sadness in their HEART, because of their awareness of the act or acts of rebellion against God and His laws, and because of their realization of His GREAT LOVE, AMAZING GRACE and ABUNDANT MERCY towards them.  This attitude of the HEART, brings about REPENTANCE, which leads to SALVATION, which leads to ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven with God the Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.

 

WORLDLY GRIEF, on the other hand, brings about DEATH.  WORLDLY GRIEF is a great sadness, the likes of which was experienced by Judas, who betrayed the Lord.  Judas’ was filled with remorse or WORLDLY GRIEF, but his remorse was unlike Peter’s, when Peter denied he knew Christ, Peter’s remorse was a GODLY GRIEF that brought about repentance.  However, the Scripture does NOT indicate that Judas’ had repented for his act of rebellion, only that he had remorse for the outcome of his betrayal of the Lord Jesus Christ, and then went out and hung himself. 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are NOT a TRUE CHILD of the Living God, and you are probably experiencing a lot of WORLDLY GRIEF, being sorry for the outcome of your sinful deeds, but NOT sorry for sinning against God, and disobedience to His laws.  That is WORLDLY GRIEF and will lead, sometimes to a physical death, and ALWAYS to a SPIRITUAL DEATH, in which will bring about CONDEMNATION and an ETERNITY in Hell, the place of perpetual heartache, pain, torment, torture, and despair, with NO WAY of ESCAPE.  But God is giving you the opportunity to come to Him with a GODLY GRIEF, which will bring about a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and an ETERNITY in Heaven with Him and His Son.  Do it NOW while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and His might, and the wonders that He has done.       Psalm 78:4

So that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments;      Psalm 78:7

They did not keep God’s covenant, but refused to walk according to His law.      Psalm 78:10

 

As I watch the news programs each evening, and see the future generation that someday might be in charge of our great nation, I shudder to think what could very well be in store for our children and grandchildren. 

 

These young people, are not what I, myself would want leading our nation into the future.  They are crude, selfish, self-centered, immature, spoiled, cry-babies, and when things don’t go their way they throw temper-tantrums.  A lot of them know very little about the great history of our nation, and its laws. 

 

They are vulnerable to any predators who would and could persuade them to do things that would be detrimental to the health of our nation.  They show very little regard for human life and human rights.  And the sad thing is a lot of colleges and universities are fueling this mindset. 

 

But we must not put it all on the backs of the academia.  It really starts with their upbringing.  The Bible tells us that our children should be taught the ‘glorious deeds of the Lord, and His might, and the wonders that He has done.’ In order for them to be able to put their trust and set their HOPE in God and NOT forget the works of God, but to KEEP His commandments; can you imagine the impact that would have on the next generation, if they were taught these things from a very early age? 

 

It would be a much better society and a strong, mighty nation, blessed by God.  However, the pathway, which the parents have allowed their children to take, without proper guidance, has put our livelihood and future in jeopardy. 

God’s word says; “They did NOT keep God’s covenant, but refused to walk according to His law.”  In other words, they have taken the things that are important, and squandered the future of this land.  And they are gambling with their destiny, because of their rejection of God and His ways. 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, and have allowed yourself and your children and grandchildren to live a rebellious life against God and His laws, then you are a BIG part of the problem and instrumental in destroying our democracy, not to mention, you are headed for an ETERNITY  in a place called HELL, the place of torment, torture, pain, agony, and despair, with NO WAY of ESCAPE, but God is giving you the opportunity NOW to change your direction, and SAVE your children and grandchildren from the wrath of God.  You do that by; coming to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and TEACH your children and grandchildren about the ways of God and His love for them.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

For He says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.  Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.       2Corinthians 6:2

 

Jesus, the SINLESS SON of the LIVING GOD, was made SIN, the ONLY ONE who knew NO sin, was made to become sin, by taking on the sins of ALL MANKIND, from the PAST, PRESENT, and the FUTURE, in order that mankind might become the RIGHTEOUSNESS of the Living God. 

 

What a HORRIBLE time that must have been for the SINLESS, SON of the LIVING GOD, to become sin, to take on Himself the sins of ALL mankind and then to be rejected by the HOLY, RIGHTEOUS GOD of the UNIVERSE, because of that sin.  Oh, the sacrifices made for a lost and dying world.  “For God so LOVED the WORLD, (meaning ALL mankind), that He GAVE His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that WHOSOEVER, believes in Him should NOT perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE.  (John 3:16)

 

God has ALWAYS KNOWN that mankind would NEED a SAVIOR, and that He would be giving of Himself for the SALVATION of this wretched, sinful, old word.  He knew the MOST FAVORABLE TIME, to carry out His plan.  And in His INFINITE WISDOM, He knows who will be the TRUE RECIPIENTS of His gift of SALVATION.  He is the ONLY ONE, who knows WHEN the FINAL INVITATION will be given, and to whom might RECEIVE it.  He also knows who will REJECT it.  He says “NOW is the day of SALVATION!”  Not tomorrow, you may not have a tomorrow, but it is NOW!

 

If you have not given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are NOT a TRUE RECIPIENT of His INVITATION to become A RIGHTEOUS, TRUE BELIEVER, who is on their way to spending an ETERNITY in Heaven with God, Himself and His Only Begotten Son, who takes away the sins of the world or ALL MANKIND.  However, He is giving you an invitation NOW to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a RIGHTEOUS, RECIPIENT of His AMAZING GRACE.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  It could be your FINAL INVITATION.   He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“The Son, the Image of His Heavenly Father”

 

 

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.  He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.  And He is the head of the body, of the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy.          Colossians 1:15-18

 

When a child is born, we will always determine who that child takes after.  We sometimes, believe that the child takes after their father, either in looks or in their personality.  This was/is the case with the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus, Himself said: “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.  Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and that the Father is in me?”  (John 14:9)

 

Jesus was not speaking of His physical appearance, but his characteristics. He was/is the manifestation of the INVISIBLE God.  In John 1:2, it says that; “He was with God in the beginning.”  So, Jesus has ALWAYS been.  He is the WORD, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  (John 1:1)  He too was a Spirit, like His Heavenly Father, but then the Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.  We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.  (John 1:14)  Even though, No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made Him known.  (John 1:18)    He is the Son, and is the IMAGE of His Heavenly Father.

 

Some of His other Godly characteristics are:  He is the Firstborn over ALL creation.  He has superiority over ALL things.  Through Him ALL things were made; without Him NOTHING was made that has been made. (John1:3)  He preceded ALL of Creation, and He is RULER over ALL Creation.

He is the Head of the body, the church.  He is the Head of the invisible body, the universal church, made up of ALL believers, who are baptized into the body, the church, by the Holy Spirit, the moment they believe in Christ Jesus.

 

He is the Beginning and the Firstborn from among the dead.  Jesus Christ was the first to rise in an immortal body, and therefore He is SUPERIOR to ALL others.  His resurrection marks His VICTORY over death.  Unlike others, He arose NEVER to die again.   Jesus is RULER over ALL Creation. He who became flesh, in order to REDEEM fallen mankind is EXALTED by His Heavenly Father, and is given the name that is above all other names, and at that very name, EVERY knee will bow, and every tongue confess:  “Jesus is Lord of ALL!” 

 

Have you ever experienced JESUS?  He is your ONLY HOPE for your poor, wretched, lost soul, who is doomed to spend ALL eternity in HELL, the place of torment, torture, pain, and agony, but His Heavenly Father is giving you another opportunity to come to Him, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and receive your adoption into God’s Holy Family and spend ALL eternity with them in Heaven.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

Where can I go from your Spirit?  Where can I flee from your presence?  If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.   If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.  If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.         Psalm 139:7-12

 

Many people try to HIDE from God, mainly because of their sinfulness.  However, David paints a picture of God’s omnipresence, which means that He is EVERYWHERE at the same time.  A little something to wrap your mind around.    You cannot HIDE from Him.  He is EVERYWHERE. 

 

If you could go into the HIGHEST heavens, He’s there.  If you went to the DEEPEST part of the earth, He’s there.  If you could fly as FAST as the speed of light from the east across to the far side of the Mediterranean Sea.  He’s there. 

 

Even the DARKNESS cannot hide you.  He has the ULTIMATE night vision.  DARKNESS and LIGHT are the same to Him.  He SEES ALL, KNOWS ALL, And HEARS ALL.  Even to KNOWING our EVERY thought, before we think it.  What an AWESOME God we serve!!

 

So you see, when you sin and are trying to hide it, you CANNOT HIDE it from the ONE, who really matters, God.  He is your JUDGE, and He will bring JUDGMENT on those who PRACTICE sin.  Those who THINK they are getting by with it, but in ALL actuality they are NOT. 

 

Don’t be fooled by the Devil, God will not be fooled.  He’s EVERYWHERE and He KNOWS EVERYTHING.  So, if you are living in sin, you cannot hide ANY of it, at least NOT from God.  And if you have NOT asked Him to FORGIVE you of your sins, then you are destined for an ETERNITY in HELL a place of torment, torture, heartache, and despair, with NO WAY of ESCAPE.  But God’s AMAZING GRACE and ABUNDANT MERCY is affording you the opportunity NOW, to change your destination and to come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and STOP trying to HIDE from Him.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.        Philippians 4:6-7

 

We are living in UNCERTAIN times, with the elections over, and a NEW slate of leaders to govern our Nation, we face the UNKNOWN.   To some it brings anxiety, uncertainty, and worry.  We question the leadership qualities of a NEW leader.  Will they be able to accomplish what is needed to SAVE our Nation?  Can they bring the people together?  Will they be able to protect us from our enemies?  And so on.

 

The Word of God gives us instruction as to HOW WE CAN FACE THE UNKNOWN.   The Apostle Paul gave this HOPE to the TRUE BELIEVERS in Philippi.   He said:  “Do not be ANXIOUS about ANYTHING, but in EVERY situation, by PRAYER and PETITION with THANKSGIVING, present your requests to God.”   Many did just that, during the election, we came together as ONE people, SEEKING God and PRAYING and PETITIONING Him concerning our requests.  He heard and I believe He answered, because we exemplified our FAITH and TRUST in Him, to save our land.

 

The Apostle Paul goes on to say when we do this, God will give us His PEACE, a PEACE, which goes far beyond ALL understanding, and it will guard our HEARTS and MINDS in Christ Jesus.  That is HOW TO FACE THE UNKNOWN, but if you have NOT TRULY given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are NOT able to face the UNKNOWN without being ANXIOUS, UNCERTAIN, and WORRIED about the future, and you can’t have that PEACE that passes ALL understanding.  You are LOST and SEPARATED from God and ALL that is GOOD with a very BLEAK future, an ETERNITY in Hell, but God, in His ABUNDANT MERCY and AMAZING GRACE, has provided a WAY for you to CHANGE your destiny; by coming to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and exchange your ANXIETY, UNCERTAINITY, and WORRY for PEACE that transcends ALL understanding.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
