“Mankind’s Worship ---From God’s Point of View”

 

 

“I hate your New Moon Feasts and your appointed festivals I hate with all my being.  They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them.  When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening.  Your hands are full of blood!  Wash and make yourselves clean.  Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.”   “Come now, let us settle the matter, “says the Lord.  “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”         Isaiah 1:14-16, 18

 

This is part of a message to the nation of Judah, from the Almighty God, given to them through the Prophet Isaiah.  Judah had become a REBELLIOUS nation.  A people whose guilt was of GREAT magnitude.  They REBELLED against God and His laws.  They REJECTED Him and turned away from Him.  And when the condemnation came they would bring a multitude of sacrifices to Him, thinking it would appease the Almighty God, and change their wretched conditions. However, their HEARTS were stained with a multitude of UNCONFESSED SINS.  So God gave this message to Isaiah to be relayed to the nation, concerning their worship.

 

To the Almighty God, the people’s New Moon Feasts and appointed festivals, had become a hated part of their worship process, because it was not done with a CLEANSING of their SIN-DRENCHED HEARTS.  They celebrated and went through the motions of worship, with SINFUL HEARTS, HEARTS that were still in REBELLION against God and His laws.  Therefore, the RIGHTEOUS GOD, did NOT ACCEPT their MANY sacrifices or their worship, and He would NOT LISTEN to their prayers, and would NOT LISTEN until they REPENTEND, and was CLEANSED from their SINFUL, EVIL WAYS.

They were offered an invitation to COME to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART and then their sins would be FORGIVEN.  Many people will come to church on Christmas morning, with SIN-DRENCHED HEARTS and go through the motions of worship, but they will NOT be willing to COME and REASON with God, over the condition of their HEART.  Some will come, seeking FORGIVENESS, but will leave the church without a TRUE CHANGE in their HEART, they will go through the motions and may even repeat all the right words, but their ATTITUDE toward their FALLEN NATURE, remains the same.

 

You cannot CHANGE your RELATIONSHIP with God, by showing up at church on EASTER and Christmas, and continue to live in sin the rest of the time, and think you are in a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with the Almighty God.  If you have been thinking along those lines, you are treading in TREACHEROUS WATERS and are DROWNING in your SINS, and on your way to an eternity in Hell.  You MUST come to God, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, in order to have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with Him.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and rest ASSURED that you have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with Him.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!       “MERRY CHRISTMAS!!”
