“Hardened Hearts”
See to it
brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that
turns away from the living God. But
encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of
you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original
conviction firmly to the very end.
Hebrews 3:12-14
The writer
of Hebrews warns the readers of this epistle, of the DANGERS of having a
SINFUL, UNBELIEVING HEART. A HEART that
TURNS AWAY FROM the LIVING GOD. A HEART
that may be HARDENED by SIN’S DECEITFULNESS.
We should not LIVE in SIN’S CESSPOOL of LIFE.
Instead of
TURNING AWAY FROM the LIVING GOD, we MUST TURN AWAY FROM our SINFUL LIFESTYLE,
and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, a HEART that is FERTILE GROUND
for the work of the HOLY SPIRIT, and not for the work of the devil. Some people wish to live according to their
OWN standards, and NOT according to GOD’S standards. This action can bring
about the HARDENING of the HEART, when practiced over a period of time.
We should
ENCOURAGE one another DAILY, TODAY, RIGHT NOW, to let God work in their HEART
and NOT become deceived by SIN’S DECEITFULNESS, but to open our HEART up to
GOD’s LOVE, AMAZING GRACE, and ABUNDANT MERCY.
You MUST be
STEADFAST in your WALK with God. You
MUST TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL lifestyle, and TURN TO GOD with a TRUE
REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING, your sins to Him and asking Him for His
FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU. And is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession
for you, before God. Then ACCEPT His
gift of SALVATION, and let Him SOFTEN your HEART with His LOVE, AMAZING GRACE,
and ABUNDANT MERCY. Be READY, WILLING
and ABLE to LIVE for Him, for ALL of ETERNITY.
Do this NOW, while you still can.
