“The Wicked”

 

In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.   The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful’ they fail to act wisely or do good.  Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong.        Psalm 36:2-4

Woe to the wicked!  Disaster is upon them!  They will be paid back for what their hands have done.     Isaiah 3:11

But all sinners will be destroyed.  There will be no future for the wicked.    Psalm 37:38

 

One does not have to go far to see that WICKEDNESS prevails in our world, today.  Any CORRUPT, EVIL WICKED thing, such as:  Abortion, murder, thievery, human trafficking, child abuse, spousal abuse, sexual abuse, rape, incest, drugs, drug trafficking, and MANY, MANY MORE WICKED actions are truly prevalent.  God’s word has MUCH to say about WICKEDNESS.  I want us to see the HEART of a WICKED individual. 

 

In Psalm 36:2-4, we see that a WICKED person, in order to take the sting of guilt away, will “flatter” themselves.  They look at their evil deeds as conquests that they have accomplished, and they have carried them out so MUCH that they don’t see them as SIN or WICKEDNESS.

 

Because of their DECIETFUL mindset, they do not use WISDOM in their decision making nor do they carry out any GOOD deeds.  They PLAN to do WICKED things even when they lie down at night their minds are SCHEMING to carry out evil plans.  They are SET on a SINFUL COURSE of life, and will not REJECT what is wrong.  They, therefore, become a part of the problem.

 

In Isaiah 3:11, and Psalm 37:38, we see the DESTINY of a WICKED person who has NOT come to God for the FORGIVENESS of their WICKED deeds.  Isaiah begins by saying “WOE” to the WICKED!   The word “Woe” means GREAT SORROW, and it is in their future because, DISASTER is coming their way.  Their DESTINY will be an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL of its HORRORS, and NO WAY of ESCAPE.  They will SUFFER, UNENDING heartache, torment, torture, pain, agony, and despair.  Their ETERAL SUFFERING will be a PAYBACK for the WICKEDNESS they have done.

 

Is this YOUR DESTINY?  Are you involved in WICKED PLANS and SCHEMES?  Is your HEART turned to WICKEDNESS, instead of RIGHTEOUSNESS?  If your answer is YES!  Then your life is set on a sinful course, and your DESTINY is HELL.  However, there is GOOD NEWS!  God has a plan for YOU, if you will ACCEPT it, and NOT REJECT it.  He wants you to come to Him by:  TURNING AWAY FROM your WICKED lifestyle, and TURNING TO Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  Then you MUST ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for you, before God.  And you MUST ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and TURN your DESTINY from HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, to HEAVEN, with ALL its GLORIES.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
