"Who is BLESSED?"

“Who is BLESSED?”

 

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.  Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.                  Psalm 32:1-2

 

This word BLESSED means to be BLISSFUL or JOYFUL.  As you can see in the title, I ask the question; “Who is BLESSED?”  What I am asking is; “WHO can be BLESSED or filled with JOY?”  There is only ONE WAY to be TRULY BLESSED, and the answer to the question; “Who is BLESSED?” is found in our Scripture. 

 

Let’s look at what the Psalmist David tells us about “Who is BLESSED?” He says that the one who is BLESSED is the one whose TRANSGRESSION is FORGIVEN, whose SIN is covered.  Meaning that the one who has come to Jesus Christ for FORGIVENESS can be BLESSED or experience JOY, knowing that their TRANSGRESSION, or REBELLION, which is the breaking of God’s Laws is FORGIVEN, their SIN, which is FAILURE, or MISSING the MARK, is COVERED.  And the Lord does NOT count INIQUITY or PERVERSION against them, and they MUST NOT possess a DECEITFUL spirit.

 

In being BLESSED, one MUST MAKE CONFESSION of their SINS.  In verse five:  David says:  “I ACKNOWLEDGED my SIN to you, and I did NOT COVER my INIQUITY; I said, “I will CONFESS my TRANSGRESSIONS to the LORD,” and you FORGAVE the INIQUITY of my SIN.”   This coming from a TRUE REPENTANT HEART will bring JOY and PEACE to a troubled soul.  Are you BLESSED?  Or are you living under a CURSE?  The CURSE that will send you to an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and there is NO WAY of ESCAPE. 

 

You can be BLESSED and have JOY and PEACE about your ETERNITY if you will, come to God, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And be WILLING TO TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle and to TURN TO Him.  BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that JESUS died for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and be BLESSED, because you are NO LONGER living under a CURSE.   Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
