“REMEMBER, What Sin Is!”

 

Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.    James 4:17

 

Throughout the Holy Word of God, we are given instructions on how the TRUE CHILD of GOD should live and what they should DO and what they SHOULD NOT DO.  And in James’ letter, it is loaded with caution about NOT doing what is GOOD and RIGHT in God’s Sight. 

 

The TRUE CHILD of GOD should allow the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD, to be in CONTROL of their lives, but there are times when they rebel against what the Spirit of God wants them to do. And they think they know what’s best. This is SINNING in the TRUEST FORM.

 

 James lays out things that they MUST do in order to obtain SPIRITUAL MATURITY.   First off, they MUST stand STEADFASTLY on the Word of God, even in hard times of TRIALS and TEMPTATIONS.  And with PRACTICAL FAITH, they should serve each other without being PREJUDICIAL or having FAVORITISM.  They MUST be in CONTROL of their TONGUES and SPEAK CAREFULLY and with CIVILIZED thought.  And MOST IMPORTANTLY they MUST be SUBMISSIVE with a SINCERE, TRUSTING HEART, and a HUMBLE SPIRIT to the ALMIGHTY GOD, their HEAVENLY FATHER, CREATOR, and JUDGE.

 

They MUST STRIVE to be ALL that GOD wants them to be, and to do what HE wants them to do, to SPEAK as GOD wants them to SPEAK, and to THINK as GOD want them to THINK.  In other words, they MUST LIVE by the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD and NOT be CONTROLLED by the FLESH or this WICKED, PERVERTED, DEPRAVED WORLD.  They MUST DO what they KNOW they OUGHT to DO.  JUST DO IT!

 

If you are LIVING the WAY you want with NO REGARD to what ALMIGHTY GOD wants, because you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to Him, then REMEMBER, you are living with a REBELLIOUS HEART and you are SINNING against Him.  You may be LOST in your SINS and on your way to an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  But you have the OPPORTUNITY to change that DESTINY by:  ADMITTING that you are a SINNER, in NEED of a SAVIOR.  Then BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS, God’s ONLY SON, died for YOU. Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And KNOW that JESUS is ALIVE in HEAVEN, making intercession for YOU, before God.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful life-style, and TURN to GOD, and DO what you OUGHT to DO.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and REMEMBER, it is SIN to KNOW what you OUGHT to DO and then NOT DO it.   So, DO this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!
