“The Cry”

 “The Cry”

 

Hear my cry, O God’ listen to my prayer.  From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.   Psalm 61:1-2

 

Have you ever been so OVERWHELMED that you felt like you were at the end of your rope, and there was NO WAY to escape?  That is the situation that the psalmist, King David was in.  He CRIED out to God, imploring Him to LISTEN to his prayer.  He felt vulnerable, and all ALONE, as if he were making his plea to the Almighty God, from the ENDS of the EARTH.  His heart was growing faint or lacking courage in facing his dilemmas.  Ever been there?

 

But David KNEW who to CRY out to; the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, David asked God to LEAD him to the ROCK that was HIGHER than he was.  This ROCK was a place of SAFETY and REST. It would serve as his REFUGE, his STRONG TOWER, in his times of trouble and distress.  David KNEW that God was his ONLY HOPE for deliverance.   

 

This is the way we find ourselves, at times, we become overwhelmed with all that this sinful world brings our way.  But as a Child of the LIVING GOD, we, like King David, KNOW who to CRY out to for our deliverance.  Sometimes, we MUST go through the fire, but HE promises us that we won’t have to walk through it ALONE.  And He will see us through the situations we find ourselves in.  God is FAITHFUL, STRONG, and TRUSTWORTHY.   Have you CRIED out to Him to DELIVER you from your SINFUL LIFE-STYLE?

 

If you have NOT CRIED out to Him for your SALVATION, and are being OVERWHELMED, with all your dilemmas, He wants you to KNOW, that He will HELP you to that ROCK of SAFETY, if you will CRY OUT to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  And be willing to ADMIT that you are a SINNER, in NEED of the SAVIOR, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, God’s ONLY Son, who died on the cross, for YOU.  And BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART, that JESUS did DIE for YOU, and that He is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST ACCEPT His Gift of SALVATION, by CRYING OUT to Him, and TURNING AWAY FROM your SINFUL life-style, and TURNING to GOD. Then you will be able to ESCAPE an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY TO ESCAPE, once you are there.  And RECEIVE an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!
