 “No Longer Slaves”

 

We Know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives.  We are no longer slaves to sin.  For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.  And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with Him.        Romans 6:6-8

 

In Galatians 5:1, the Apostle Paul tells us that, Jesus has TRULY SET US FREE.  Now make sure that you STAY FREE, and DON’T get tied up again in SLAVERY to the law.  The Law was given to SHOW our SINFULNESS.  It does NOT have the POWER to SAVE man from the CONTROL of SIN or the POWER that SIN has over them.  The FREEDOM from SIN comes to us through the REDEMPTIVE WORK of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who SUFFERED, BLED and DIED to PAY the PENALTY for SIN.  And FOREVER BREAKING the POWER of SIN over those who BELONG to Him.  

 

Through that REDEMPTIVE WORK of the LORD JESUS CHRIST the TRUE BELIEVER has FREEDOM from the CONTROL of SIN.  Sin is POWERLESS and NO LONGER has POWER nor CONTROL in the life of the BELIEVER.  As a Believer, you MUST ACCEPT your  CHRISTIAN IDENTITY, and don’t let your former lifestyle drag you BACK to the POWER and CONTROL of the SINS, which made you a SLAVE to its POWER.  

 

When you TRULY gave your HEART and LIFE to CHRIST, you TURNED AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and the BONDS, which KEPT you in your SINS, FELL AWAY, POWERLESS to KEEP you. And you were SET FREE because your OLD SINFUL SELF was CRUCIFIED with CHRIST.  Our verse tells us that:  “We are NO LONGER SLAVES to SIN.  For when we DIED with CHRIST we were SET FREE from the POWER of SIN.  And since we died with CHRIST, we KNOW we will also LIVE with HIM. The TRUE BELIEVER still commits sins, but those sins are CONFESSED to God, the Father, and they NO LONGER have CONTROL in the TRUE BELIEVER’S LIFE, because they are DEAD to their SINS.

 

If you have NOT GIVEN your HEART and LIFE to GOD, through the REDEMPTIVE WORK of His Son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, then you are STILL living in SLAVERY, because of your SINFUL LIFESTYLE.  Your SINS have POWER and DOMINION over you, and will give you a HORRIBLE, ETERNAL DESTINY.  If you CONTINUE to LIVE in this SINFUL LIFESTYLE, then you will spend your ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS and NO WAY to ESCAPE, once you are there.  In order to be SET FREE FROM this scenario, and to be able to spend your ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS, you MUST ADMIT that you are a SINNER in NEED of the SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  And you MUST BELIEVE, with ALL your HEART that JESUS DIED for YOU, and that He is ALIVE Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  You MUST CONFESS your sins to Him, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  You MUST be WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM your SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  You MUST ACCEPT God’s Gift of SALVATION, and BE SET FREE and NO LONGER A SLAVE!!  Do this NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s WAITING and COMING SOON!!!  Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!!
