 “What Is Sacrificial Love?”

 

God showed how much He loved us by sending His One and Only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him.  This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a Sacrifice to take away our sins.   1 John 4:9-10

 

God knew from the very beginning of time, that mankind, would FAIL Him, DISAPPOINT Him, and REJECT Him, yet He LOVED them, and was intent on providing the WAY for them to TURN AWAY from their SINS and SHORTCOMINGS, and to be able to have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with Him.  He exhibited His PERFECT, SACRIFICIAL LOVE, through His ONE and ONLY SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST, who was WILLING to be TOTALLY OBEDIENT to His FATHER, at ANY COST.

 

So, God sent His Son into this WRETCHED, SIN-DRENCHED, World, NOT to CONDEMN the WORLD, but to SAVE the WORLD, through Him.   Only the PURE, UNDEFILED, RIGHTEOUS, BLOOD of GOD’S ONLY SON, JESUS, could REMOVE, and COVER mankind’s SINS.  And provide for them, an ETERNAL HOME in HEAVEN, with ALL its BLESSINGS.  And to SAVE them from an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL its HORRORS, and NO WAY TO ESCAPE, once they are there.  So, Jesus WILLINGLY SUFFERED through a HORRENDOUS BEATING, that literally  RIPPED His FLESH from His Back and Sides, it was called a SCOURGING, and when applied to some, they died from the SCOURGING.  

 

Then the ROMAN GUARDS NAILED Him to an OLD WOODEN CROSS, on a hill, for people to see, and to be able to JEER, and CURSE those who were hanging on the CROSSES.  This form of CAPITAL PUNISHMENT, was for the WORST of criminals.  And yet they did it to the ONLY SON of the ALMIGHTY GOD, CREATOR, of ALL HEAVEN and EARTH, because He claimed that He was the SON of GOD.  Jesus became the SACRIFICIAL LAMB, who was SACRIFICED for SINFUL MANKIND, that they might BELIEVE and TRUST in Him for the FORGIVENESS of their WRETCHED SINS, and to provide for them an ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, because they have a RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD.

 

This SACRIFICIAL ACT of GOD’S LOVE, is a SUPREME EXAMPLE of the LOVE that God has for ALL MANKIND.  This SACRIFICIAL LOVE is REAL LOVE, NOT that we LOVED GOD, but that HE LOVED US SO MUCH that He sent His SON as OUR SACRIFICE to TAKE AWAY OUR SINS.  Those who are WILLING to TURN AWAY FROM their SINFUL LIFESTYLE, and TURN TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, and will BELIEVE that JESUS DIED FOR THEM, and will put their FAITH and TRUST in Him for their SALVATION, and CONFESS their SINS to HIM, and ask Him for His FORGIVENESS.  And ACCEPT GOD’S GIFT of SALVATION, they will be ABLE to SPEND ALL of their ETERNITY in HEAVEN, and EXPERIENCE GOD’S UNFAILING, STEADFAST, SACRIFICIAL LOVE.  So, do this NOW, while you still can.  HE’S WAITING and COMING SOON!!!   Don’t be LEFT BEHIND!!
