“Mercy and Grace”

 

 

But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead  in transgressions---it is by grace you have been saved.        Ephesians 2:4-5

 

 

First, let us talk about God’s RICH MERCY.  Mankind, being born with a sinful nature, goes against the RIGHTEOUS GOD’S plan for mankind to become RIGHTEOUS as He is RIGHTEOUS.  Mankind sins against the HOLY, RIGHTEOUS God and is disobedient to Him, turning away from God and His RIGHTEOUSNESS, and embracing the sin.  It is the creation rebelling against its Creator.  Yet God, because of His GREAT LOVE, has MERCY on SINFUL mankind.  Meaning that God does NOT give mankind the punishment they deserve, when they come to Him for their SALVATION---This is MERCY.

 

Now, let us talk about God’s AMAZING GRACE.  Instead of, God pointing His finger at mankind and zapping us into oblivion, He KNOWS our weaknesses and our helplessness, our inability to make our own self RIGHTEOUS, and thus provides His RIGHTEOUSNESS for us through the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE of His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shed His blood, to cleanse us from ALL our sins.  He gives us what we DON’T DESERVE---This is GRACE.

 

And because of God’s GREAT LOVE for the Crown of His Creation, He has MERCY on it, and refrains from giving us the punishment we deserve, yet gives us what we don’t deserve, which is His AMAZING GRACE. 

 

So if you have NOT come to God, with a TRULY REPENTANT HEART, experiencing His GREAT LOVE, and being a recipient of His RICH MERCY, and ACCEPTING His AMAZING GRACE, then you are headed for Hell, the place of torture, torment, agony, heartache and pain.  A place where there is NO escape, you will be there throughout eternity.  However, because of God’s GREAT LOVE, RICH MERCY, and AMAZING GRACE, you have the opportunity to turn away from your sins and become RIGHTEOUS as He is RIGHTEOUS by:  CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become His RIGHTEOUS CHILD, who has been SAVED from the penalty of their sins and given ETERNAL LIFE in HEAVEN, because of God’s GREAT LOVE, RICH MERCY and His AMAZING GRACE.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.          Proverbs 14:34

 

 

A nation is made up of people, who are born with a sinful nature, and therefore they practice sin.  The sins of mankind can and will destroy a nation. 

 

When there are UNGODLY people leading or ruling a nation, then you will have a nation that is DOOMED.  In Israel’s history, she has had some UNGODLY kings, and her history has been a cycle of bondage.  And when the people would call out to God for MERCY, He would FREE them from the bondage they were under.  But when they would be disobedient, and end up with another UNGODLY ruler, more bondage would ensue.

 

God has ALWAYS left a remnant of the nation of Israel, because they are His Chosen People, and have ALWAYS been a BIG part of His plan, in the scheme of things.  But MANY nations and kingdoms have been led by UNGODLY people who EMBRACE the very SINS that God detests, some that the Bible states are an ABOMINATION to Him.  And because of the SINFUL nation and its UNGODLY leaders, it becomes weak and not effective in its influence on other nations, which leads to its demise.

 

Is that the direction that our nation is going?  Do we have GODLY leaders, who promotes high moral standings, godly behavior, who seeks the wisdom and leadership of the Almighty God?  Or do we have UNGODLY leaders who calls RIGHT, WRONG and WRONG, RIGHT, those who embrace the very sins that are an ABOMINATION to the HOLY RIGHTEOUS GOD of the Universe?  And they are working hard to strip the Christians of their rights and freedoms.  Then yes, we are headed in the same direction as all the other nations and kingdoms that have fallen, because of the SIN that prevails.

 

The Scripture says that “RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTS a nation,” this tells me that the only way to preserve a nation is for the people to STOP sinning and to put GODLY leaders in our government.  The rise or fall of a nation is on the shoulders of the people who are able to vote their convictions.  Are you going to be a part of those who will cause our nation to fall, because of your sins? You will be, if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God.  But you can change, and be a part of the ones who will cause the nation to rise, by your righteous behavior.  You do that by:  Coming to God with a TRULY REPENTANT HEART, and CONFESSING your sins to Him, asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and practice RIGHTEOUSNESS and NOT sins, and be part of making this nation rise and NOT fall.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!

Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ.         Colossians 2:8

 

 

This being an election year, we are bombarded with political speeches from both political parties.  There is so much political rhetoric going on that it baffles the mind.  Many are searching for an EASY way of life, and are willing to say, THINK or do ANYTHING to be able to have a life that is ruled by others, and is a “give me” mentality.  An environment that is government controlled and politically correct with NO regard to the mandates and statutes that are set in the Word of God. 

 

Our RELIGIOUS liberties are being taken away little by little, and it seems to me that it is escalating more and more, from being able to say, “Merry Christmas,” to having a cross on a steeple of a church, mainly because it MIGHT offend someone.  What about it offending the Christians?  We are someone. 

 

Well, there are many people who are shallow in their belief system and who listen to the political gibberish, and are persuaded to follow a dangerous philosophy and empty deceit, lies, which are based on HUMAN tradition and elemental FORCES of the world.  These are TEMPORARY and if left alone, they will pollute the mind and heart, and will lead one to an eternity of torture, torment, agony and pain, in a place called Hell. 

 

It is of extreme importance that a Child of God be FIRMLY ROOTED and BUILT UP in Jesus Christ, and FIRMLY ESTABLISHED in the FAITH, NOT swayed by political correctness, but by being COMPLETELY INFLUENCED by God’s Holy Word.    

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you maybe following the wrong group of people and their ungodly mindset.  You can get on the RIGHT track, by coming to God with a TRULY REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and start THINKING and BELIEVING what God wants, because in the end that is what will matter.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“God’s Perspective on Lying Lips”

 

Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool---how much worse lying lips to a ruler!        Proverbs 17:7

Each one betrays his friend; no one tells the truth.  They have taught their tongues to speak lies; they wear themselves out doing wrong.  You live in a world of deception.  In their deception they refuse to know Me.     This is the Lord’s declaration.         Jeremiah 9:5-6

 

 

We seem to be living in a world and time where telling lies is the norm.  Telling the TRUTH is becoming more and more of a rarity. 

 

I have been told time and time again that politicians are nothing but LIARS, they will tell you anything in order to gain votes.  The Bible indicates that LYING LIPS are more unsuited for a ruler than eloquent lips are for a godless fool.  Yet it appears that some people in our nation can tell lies upon lies and deceive the people, and even put our nation in peril, yet there are some who will follow that person over a proverbial cliff, WHY?  Do they relish in the thought of being a part of that deception, which will destroy our way of life, as we know it, today? 

 

The Scriptures tell us that a person will betray their friend and NO ONE tells the TRUTH.  They have actually taught their tongues to speak lies, and they wear themselves out doing wrong.  It also tells us that we live in a world of deception.   In today’s world we live in a cesspool of deception.  People lie to each other, especially if it feeds their own desires, at any cost.  They work LONG and HARD at doing wrong.  Their souls have become wicked and depraved.  Things that once were considered unethical or immoral are NOW being embraced and being ingrained into every fiber of society.  And what is GOOD, PURE, and MORAL, is looked upon as BAD and POLITICALLY INCORRECT.  These people refuse to KNOW God, and refuse to follow His laws.  They are facing JUDGMENT and will be condemned to an ETERNITY of TORTURE, TORMENT, HEARTACHE, PAIN, AGONY and DESPAIR.  All because of LYING LIPS and a DECIETFUL HEART.

 

In a few months, we will go to the polls to cast our vote for the individual we think would be best suited to lead our nation.  Grant you our choices are NOT that promising, but we NEED to vote, nonetheless.  My suggestion is that we be MUCH in prayer and SEEK God’s guidance in the matter.  CONSIDER the facts, and use GOOD common sense. 

Are you a part of the group that will try to deceive people, and that will be the certain death of this great nation?  The choice is yours.  God tells us to CHOSE this day whom we will serve.  And who do you serve?  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God then you are serving the devil and are headed for HELL, the place of torment, torture, agony, heartache, pain and despair, for ALL of eternity.  But God doesn’t want you there, so He is offering you the opportunity NOW, to turn to Him, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and SEEK His guidance in your life.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“The Spirit of Truth”

 

 

“But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth.  He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.  He will glorify Me because it is from Me that He will receive what He will make known to you.  All that belongs to the Father is Mine.  That is why I said the Spirit will receive from Me what He will make known to you.”         John 16:13-15

 

 

These verses of Scripture were the words of the Lord Jesus Christ to His disciples, concerning their ministry, which would take place after His death and resurrection.  Jesus promised that they would receive the Holy Spirit, who would be their COMPANION, ADVOCATE, COMFORTER, TEACHER and GUIDE. 

 

He would give them ALL they needed to know about Jesus and His work.  He will NOT speak on His own accord, but will speak ONLY what He hears from Father God.  God would tell the Spirit what to TEACH the disciples about His Son and His mission.   It would give them spiritual insight into what was about to come: the death, and resurrection of Jesus, and the truth of His return.

 

Jesus being the image of the Invisible God, received ALL that belongs to the Father.  The Spirit of Truth enlightened the disciples to the person and work of the Only Begotten Son of the Living God.  The Spirit worked in the disciples’ minds so they could be able to UNDERSTAND and TEACH about the Son and His mission.

 

The Spirit of Truth is given to the TRUE BELIEVERS today, as their COMPANION, ADVOCATE, COMFORTER, TEACHER and GUIDE.  And like Jesus’ disciples, we are to ALLOW the Holy Spirit of Truth, access to our minds by being SUBMISSIVE to Him, and allowing Him to TEACH us what we need to KNOW about the Lord Jesus Christ, and then we should TEACH others what we have received from The Spirit of Truth.  We should be mentors to those who are SEEKING the TRUTH.

 

You cannot take someone to a place where you have not been.  So open up your HEARTS and MINDS to the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, and let Him LEAD you to ALL the TRUTH of the Lord Jesus Christ, and then become the TEACHER to those who are HUNGERING for the Word.

 

If you are one of those who are SEEKING and HUNGERING for the TRUTH, and have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, you NOW have the opportunity to LEARN the TRUTH of the Word and its impact on your life and eternity, by coming to God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART and CONFESSING your sins to Him, asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and allow the SPIRIT of TRUTH access to your HEART and MIND,  and become a LEARNER and TEACHER of the Word.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

But the Scripture has imprisoned everything under sin’s power so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.        Galatians 3:22

 

 

Since the Law could NOT give life, God’s plan for RIGHTEOUSNESS, was carried out by His Only Begotten Son, the SPOTLESS Lamb of the Living God, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who became our ONE and ONLY SACRIFICE for the remission of our sins.  Only through the shed blood of Jesus, are we able to be SET FREE from our sins and able to receive God’s promise of SALVATION.

 

All of mankind is held a prisoner to their sins, and they are under the dominion of sin, until they realize that there is NOTHING they can do on their own, which would provide the PROMISE of SALVATION for them.  In order for them to receive the PROMISE, they MUST give up the idea that they can obtain SALVATION and be SET FREE from the bondage they are under, by their own works.  In order to receive the PROMISE of SALVATION, you must come to God through FAITH in JESUS CHRIST. 

 

You do that by coming to Him with a TRULY REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to God, asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become one, who is NO LONGER a PRISONER, but a FREE PERSON.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!

“Adam’s Trespass---God’s Gift!”

 

 

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!          Romans 5:17

 

Have you ever wondered what it would have been like, if Adam and Eve would have NEVER sinned, been DISOBEDIENT to their Creator, God?  If they would have NOT sinned, then we would not have to face a physical death.  When God created Adam, He created him to live forever, but when Adam sinned against God, physical death became a fearful tyrant ruling over mankind, bringing every one under its grip.

 

Mankind was born with a sinful nature, a nature that would lead to REBELLION and DISOBEDIENCE towards the Creator of this Universe, the Lord God Almighty.  Mankind would be under the influence of Satan, better known as the devil.  We are SINFUL and DEPRAVED at heart.  The Bible tells us that the heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure.  (Jeremiah 17:9).   So then because of ONE man, Adam, sin entered the very being of mankind.

 

God, in His infinite WISDOM, MERCY, and GRACE, has provided a SPECIAL CURE for the SIN-SICK HEART of mankind, and this SPECIAL CURE, comes through, the ONE man, Jesus Christ.  Because of God’s GREAT love for the Crown of His Creation, He GAVE to us, who were dying in our sin, the GIFT of ETERNAL LIFE with Him, in Heaven by making us RIGHTEOUS  in His eyes, through the SHED BLOOD of His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, the Lord Jesus Christ.  And through the act of OBEDIENCE of ONE man, Jesus, we are REDEEMED from our DISOBEDIENCE.  And no longer need to fear physical death, but we are to live an ABUNDANT LIFE, and look forward to ALL the glories of ETERNITY in our Heavenly home.
