The Prerequisite for a Long Life!

 

 

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from deceitful speech.  Turn away from evil and do what is good; seek peace and pursue it.--------Psalms 34:13-14

 

 

We live in a world and time where TRUTH is more and more being overtaken by the elements of UNTRUTH.  We see this taking place in our GOVERNMENT, our FAMILIES, our SCHOOLS, and in the different venues of our SOCIETY.   This has changed the FACE of our NATION, we are losing our CREDITABILITY with other nations and we have arrived at a place in time where we are so CLOSE to not being able to distinguish between the TRUTH and LIES.  And it is costing us dearly, we are losing the WHOLESOMENESS of what use to be the MIGHTIEST NATION on the face of the earth, the GODLY PRINCIPLES that this nation was built upon, has been replaced with MAN’S PRINCIPLES and look around and see where that has taken us.

 

God issues a pretty STRONG message to us, if we enjoy and want to continue to enjoy a LONG, PROSPEROUS LIFE.  We must KEEP our tongue from evil and our lips from telling lies.  We must NOT ACCEPT the LIES as the TRUTH and live our lives according to those lies, but we are to LIVE our lives according to the TRUTH.  And we do that by TURNING AWAY FROM evil and do what is GOOD and RIGHT in the eyes of ALMIGHTY GOD.   We are to SEEK PEACE and PURSUE it.  SEEK and PURSUE, these words gives us the indication that we are to DILIGENTLY GO AFTER PEACE.  We are not to SAY or DO ANYTHING that would cause turmoil or chaos, but we need to be a PEACEFUL people who desire a PEACEFUL lifestyle. 

 

If you have NEVER given your HEART and LIFE to Jesus then you are NOT His child, and your life may be filled with lies and you may not be living in peace.  You may be living in CHAOS and TURMOIL.  But you can change that by following these SIMPLE, but IMPORTANT steps:  CONFESS your sins to God and ask His for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting!!!
