Love Each Other!

 

 

This is My commandment:  Love each other in the same way I have loved you.  There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are My friends if you do what I command.  This is My command:  Love each other.--------John 15:12-14, 17

 

 

We live in a world of hate, animosity, prejudices, etc.  A world that has rejected God’s love and has hated His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON.  The one who demonstrated God’s love by sacrificing His life on a cruel, rugged cross, in order for the crown of God’s creation to be able to come to God as His OWN Children and to be able to spend ALL of eternity with Father God and Jesus Christ, His Son.

 

Jesus was giving His disciples some last, must needed commandments.   The commandment to LOVE each other in the same way that He loved them would be greater than any other form of LOVE, it would be a love that would cause them to be willing to lay down their own life for their friends.   A love that would cover a multitude of sins, a love that would bind people together and they would become the living body of Christ on this earth.  A love that would DEMAND faithfulness to God and His Son.  A love that would ENDURE throughout the ages.  A TRUE ABIDING LOVE, like no other.  An AGAPE LOVE, that is NOT selfish, self-centered, or egotistical. But a LOVE that is PURE, STRONG, COMPASSIONATE, and ABIDING.  A LOVE that transcends time.   

 

Time for Christ to leave this world was fast approaching, and He wanted His followers to know how they were to conduct and live their lives as a witness, in order to win the world for Him.  They would have to exemplify AGAPE LOVE, God’s LOVE for His Children, and they would have to be willing to LOVE to the point, that they would be willing to lay down their lives for their friends.  His command was LOVE each other, get along with each other, cry with other, laugh with each other, support each other, be there for each other and be willing to die for each other, if need be.

 

If you have never given your HEART and LIFE to Christ.  Then you can’t know or experience the AGAPE LOVE or GODLY LOVE of which I am speaking.  The ONLY way you can experience such a remarkable kind of LOVE is to become a Child of the Living God, you do that by: CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE, in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and start experiencing His LOVE and sharing it with others.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting!!!
