The Chains of Sin

 

 

The Father loves His Son and has put everything into His hands.  And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life.  Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.--------John 3:35-36

 

 

Mankind is born into this world with a ‘sinful’ nature.  And as he or she grows and matures, they are taught right from wrong, in most cases.  Because of God’s grace they are given the choice to do right or to do wrong.  Sadly to say many have and or still making the wrong choice by choosing to do wrong.  Thus they are sinning against Almighty God, and are gambling with their destiny.

 

People who have made the wrong choice are like prisoners.  They are held captive by their sinful nature and are held by chains of their sins. Each link of the chain is a sin that they embrace; lust, greed, sexual impurity, impure thoughts, envy, hatred, malice, etc.  As long as they embrace these sins they are held by those chains and condemned to an eternity in Hell.

 

Because of God’s AMAZING GRACE and MIRACULOUS MERCY we are given a choice to accept the RIGHT thing by allowing His Son to BREAK our CHAINS and set us FREE from those links of sin that imprisons us and holds us captive. 

 

When we come to the time of deciding which we are going to choose “right” or “wrong”, God offers us His gift of SALVATION, made possible ONLY through His Son, Jesus Christ, which is the RIGHT thing to choose, but many have been held so long by their chains of sin that they are content to remain “prisoners” of those sins and choose the WRONG thing.  And they remain under God’s angry judgment and His sentence of eternity in Hell.  Don’t let your chains of sin condemn you to that sentence, but let the Son of God break those chains and set you FREE to and eternity in Heaven. 

 

If you have NEVER given your HEART and LIFE to Christ then you are a prisoner, held by the chains of your sins and you are still under God’s ANGRY judgment and condemned to Hell for ALL of eternity.  But you have the CHOICE to make the RIGHT decision, right NOW, by:  CONFESSING your sins to God and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and be SET FREE from your chains of sin.  Do it NOW, while you STILL can.  He’s waiting!!!
