“Six Things God Hates!”

 

 

These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:  A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.          Proverbs 6:16-19

 

As God’s TRUE CHILDREN, those who have come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART for the SALVATION of our souls, we should STRIVE, throughout our lives, to live in a way that we KNOW is PLEASING to Him.  When we come to Him for our SALVATION, we are REPENTING, or turning away from our sinful ways and turning TOWARDS Him, saying we are SORRY for doing the things that He abhors.  And we are desiring to do the things we KNOW are pleasing to Him.

 

The six things God HATES, PROUD LOOK, LYING TONGUE, HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD, A WICKED HEART, RUNNING TO EVIL, A FALSE WITNESS WHO SPEAKS LIES, AND ONE WHO SOWS DISCORD AMONG THE BRETHREN, are all a part of a sinful, wicked, perverted, nature, and a TRUE CHILD of God will not want to entertain such behavior. 

 

This does not mean that the TRUE CHILD of God will not sin, because we are in the flesh we will still sin, but it is the DESIRE of the HEART that makes the difference.  When you are a TRUE CHILD of the Living God, your desires change from RUNNING to evil or sins, to RUNNING AWAY from the sins, “our spirit is willing, BUT the flesh is weak” (Matt. 26:41), therefore, we will fall into sin, but when we do, the Holy Spirit that indwells us, also CONVICTS us, which should prompt us to immediately pray for God to deliver us from that sin and to FORGIVE us when we FAIL Him. 

 

Now, since you KNOW at least SIX things that God HATES, and all SEVEN are an ABOMINATION to Him, which means that He REALLY HATES and is DISGUSTED with all of them, you, as a TRUE CHILD of the Living God, can and SHOULD do ALL that you can to avoid these SEVEN THINGS.  The last one, “sowing discord among the brethren,” may include a part of all the other six. 

 

So TRUE CHILD of the Living God, take inventory of your attitudes and actions, are you GUILTY of any of these seven things.  LOOK CAREFULLY, especially at the seventh one.  It seems like this one is very prevalent in most churches today, which would include most of the other six things. If you are GUILTY of any of them you NEED to ASK for FORGIVENESS and possess the desire in your heart, to NOT have any part of those seven things in you, so that you will be RIGHTEOUS before God. 

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are more than likely practicing more than one of the seven things that God HATES.  And you are definitely NOT pleasing to Him, and are headed to Hell, the place of torment, torture, pain and agony, but God is NOW giving you the opportunity to REPENT, turn away from that sin, and to come to Him for the SALVATION of your soul by  coming to Him with a TRULY REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and become a TRUE CHILD of the Living God, and be made RIGHTEOUS in His sight.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
