“Crucified with Christ!”
I have been
crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by
faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20
What does it
mean to be “CRUCIFIED with CHRIST?” The
Apostle Paul in his letter to the Believers in Galatia gives us the
answer. He states that he no longer
lives, but Christ lives in him.
Yesterday’s devotion was concerning living either by the FLESH or by the
SPIRIT. When we come to Christ for the
SALVATION of our soul, if we are sincere, then we are CRUCIFYING the life we
lived by the FLESH and then we will be living by the SPIRIT, because the SPIRIT
of the LIVING Christ lives in us.
The NEW LIFE
that we will be living will be lived by FAITH in the SON of GOD, the very one
who suffered, bled and died for OUR sins.
Therefore, LIVING by the SPIRIT is ONLY possible through the act of
CRUCIFYING the FLESH, because of our FAITH in the SON of GOD. We then have a NEW LIFE, and will obtain
RIGHTEOUSNESS before the Holy God.
Paul states
in his letter that: “The RIGHTEOUS will
LIVE by FAITH.” (Gal. 3:11)
In order to live
by the Spirit you must be made RIGHTEOUS, which comes through the SALVATION
process, and is accomplished through FAITH in the SON of GOD, who WILLINGLY
gave HIMSELF for the REDEMPTION of mankind.
In order for
you to live such a life, you must come to God seeking FORGIVENESS of your
sins. Living a “GOOD” life won’t make
you RIGHTEOUS nor will it give you ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven. You MUST come to God with a TRUE REPENTANT
HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS,
BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in
Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of
SALVATION, and CRUCIFY your sinful lifestyle, and receive a NEW LIFE, lived by
the SPIRIT, through FAITH in the SON of GOD, and be made RIGHTEOUS before the
LIVING GOD. Do it NOW, while you still
can. He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
