“Faith and Deeds”

 

Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?  You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.

As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. 

James 2:21, 22, 26

 

One who claims to have FAITH, but is lacking in their actions, their FAITH is useless, and not a TRUE FAITH.  Abraham is a GREAT role model for us to gauge our own FAITH.  We probably won’t be asked to sacrifice our child, however we demonstrate our FAITH with our actions or DEEDS. 

 

In verse seventeen of this chapter, James states that:  “…Faith by itself, if it is NOT accompanied by action, is DEAD.”  Abraham could have professed his FAITH all day long and even longer, and without his actions, his FAITH would be DEAD.  As the body without the spirit is DEAD, so FAITH without DEEDS is DEAD.

 

We sometimes believe we have a STRONG, VIBRANT FAITH, but when we try to put our FAITH and DEEDS together, our FAITH FALTERS, because we fail to do the DEEDS that work with our FAITH and COMPLETES its purpose in our SPIRITUAL LIFE. 

 

It is our FAITH and DEEDS together, which gives LIFE to our witness, and makes it what it should be, a STRONG VIBRANT FAITH that produces the DEEDS that exemplify our TRUE RELATIONSHIP with our Heavenly Father.

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then your FAITH is DEAD.   In order to have a STRONG, VIBRANT, FAITH, one that is full of LIFE, and produces DEEDS that will WIN the LOST to Jesus Christ, and change your destiny from spending ALL ETERNITY in Hell to spending it in Heaven.  You MUST first come to Him with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and workout your FAITH through your DEEDS, and possess a STRONG, VIBRANT FAITH.  Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
