“Making Plans”

 

The Lord knows all human plans; He knows that they are futile.        Psalm 94:11

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.       Proverbs 16:3

 

Well, here we are facing a New Year.   One that is filled with the UNKNOWN, one that is filled with UNCERTAINTIES, and to some, it is a year filled with POSSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES.  And MANY will be MAKING PLANS to make the New Year EXACTLY like they intend it to be.  GOOD or BAD PLANS, they say they are going to carry them out. 

 

However, God KNOWS the HEART and MIND of ALL human beings, and PLANS that are made without the GUIDANCE of GOD end up FUTILE, or MEANINGLESS, USELESS, WORTHLESS, VAIN and INEFFECTIVE.   In other words, they will FAIL, in some way or another. 

 

But if you COMMIT ALL of your PLANS to God, He will help you achieve your GOALS, if they are according to His will for your life and He will ESTABLISH your PLANS.  God KNOWS ALL THINGS, even FUTURE THINGS and the PLANS you make now, may NOT be MEANINGFUL, USEFUL, EFFECTIVE or WORTHY of what is lying ahead of you.  So it is a WISE thing to SEEK GOD’s GUIDANCE.  As a very WISE man once said, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”  (Proverbs 19:21)

 

Psalm 37:5 tells us to; “COMMIT your way to the Lord, TRUST also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”  Which means that if we live a life that is COMMITTED to the Lord, and TRUST in Him, then our PLANS will be in tune with His will and we will be MAKING PLANS that are in His control and that are for our BENEFIT, NOW and in the future.  PLANS that will be MEANINGFUL, USEFUL, EFFECTIVE, and WORTHY of GOD’S intervention.  Thus we can REST ASSURED and have PEACE in our HEART that GOD is in CONTROL, and working for our BEST INTEREST.

 

Are you MAKING PLANS for the New Year?  Plans that you have sought God’s GUIDANCE for?  If you are MAKING PLANS, but you have NO intention of seeking God’s GUIDANCE, because you don’t BELIEVE nor do you have ANY KIND of relationship with Him, and you are just ‘flying by the seat of your pants’ in the making of your plans, then you are headed for BIG PROBLEMS, especially in the future.  Because you are headed for an ETERNITY in Hell, without a relationship with God, if you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God then you are LOST and headed to HELL, but God is giving you the opportunity NOW to TURN AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle and to TURN TO HIM, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and start MAKING PLANS for your ETERNITY  in Heaven.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
