“The Prince of Peace”

 

Christ Himself is our peace.  He made both Jewish people and those who are not Jews one people.  They were separated as if there were a wall between them, but Christ broke down that wall of hate by giving His own body.  The Jewish law had many commands and rules, but Christ ended that law.   His purpose was to make the two groups of people become one new people in Him and in this way make peace.  It was also Christ’s purpose to end the hatred between the two groups to make them into one body, and to bring them back to God.  Christ did all this with His death on the cross.   Christ came and preached peace to you who were far away from God, and to those who were near to God.  Yes, it is through Christ we all have the right to come to the Father in one Spirit.       Ephesians 2 14-18

 

The prophet Isaiah tells us that one of the names given to God’s Son, Jesus, was the PRINCE of PEACE.  He not only GIVES us PEACE, but He IS our PEACE.  Jesus Christ came to earth as a newborn babe, and it was His MAIN objective to SAVE MANKIND from their SINS, and to bring them into a RIGHT relationship with God. 

 

In order to accomplish this monumental task, He must bring the two divisions of people, Jews and non-Jews together, to be as ONE body.  It was as if they were separated by a wall of hate, but Jesus BROKE down that wall of hate with the SACRIFICING of His own body. 

 

The Jewish law had MANY commands and rules that were hard if not impossible to keep, and could not bring SALVATION to a doomed people.  But Jesus ended that law.  It was His MAIN purpose to end the hatred between the two groups, and to bring them together as ONE body, and to bring them into that RIGHT RELATIONSHIP with the ALMIGHTY GOD.   Jesus did that with His death on the CROSS.  He came and PREACHED PEACE to those who were far away from God and to those who were near to God.  It is through JESUS CHRIST, that we have the right to come to the Father in ONE Spirit. 

 

If you do NOT possess this kind of PEACE, you are DOOMED and headed for an ETERNITY in Hell, forever experiencing ALL the HORRORS that are a part of this HORRIBLE place.  There will be NO WAY of ESCAPE, and there will be NO PEACE.   Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.   Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”  (John 14:27)   The PEACE that the world affords is NOT a TRUE, LASTING PEACE.  And many times it comes with a price.  Jesus offers you a TRUE, LASTING PEACE that does NOT come with a price that YOU have to pay, because He has already PAID the PRICE with His own BLOOD.  All you have to do is to ACCEPT IT.  You do that by TURNING AWAY FROM your sinful lifestyle and TURNING TO God with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, and ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and let the PRINCE of PEACE bring TRUE, LASTING PEACE into your HEART.  Do it now, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
