“What Will 2018 Bring?”

 

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.       Proverbs 27:1

Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”       James 4:15

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.        Proverbs 3:5

 

Nobody knows what this New Year holds in store for them.   We can only take one day at a time, and actually we don’t fully know what that day will hold, for the TRUE BELIEVER of Jesus Christ, we walk or live by FAITH, and for the UNBELIEVER, they trust their own plans and dreams.  There is NO WAY that we can tell what lies ahead of us.  Only the Almighty God knows, and that is why we shouldn’t boast about tomorrow, because we DON’T KNOW what a day may bring.

 

It is BEST to DEPEND on God, since He is in CONTROL, and He KNOWS what lies ahead for each of us.  So it is only RIGHT that we say; “If it is the LORD”S WILL, we will live and do this or that.” Our lives are like a mist, many have well made plans for the day, week, months, and years, but an accident, health problem, or being in the wrong place at the wrong time, can end ALL of your WELL-MADE PLANS, so if we face the UNKNOWN of each New Year with the frame of mind that, “If it is GOD’S WILL, we will live and do this or that.”  Then we can make plans according to His will and TRUST in Him.  He knows what’s best. 

 

Proverbs 3:5, gives us GREAT GUIDANCE in our plan making for this New Year.  The writer, tells us that we should:  TRUST in the Lord with ALL our HEART and LEAN NOT on our OWN UNDERSTANDING, but in ALL our ways SUBMIT to Him, and He will make our paths straight.  In other words TRUST in GOD for ALL our plans, if we SUBMIT to Him, and let Him be in CONTROL, because He is anyway, then He will HELP us walk in the RIGHT direction and save us a lot of time and effort, and maybe even keep us from heartache and harm.    The BEST WAY to face this New Year is to TRUST and SUBMIT to GOD.  Is that your plans?

 

In order for you to TRUST and SUBMIT to God, you must FIRST TURN AWAY FROM your SINS, and TURN TO Him, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and TRUST and SUBMIT to Him for this New Year and for ALL the years to follow, and rest ASSURED that He will do what is BEST for YOU.  Without BELIEVING on the Lord Jesus Christ, you are headed for an ETERNITY in Hell.  So COME to Him NOW, while you still can He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
