“A Perverted Heart or Blameless Ways?”

 

Truly the righteous attain life, but whoever pursues evil finds death.

The Lord detests those whose hearts are perverse, but He delights in those whose ways are blameless.

Be sure of this:  The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free.     Proverbs 11:19-21

 

Throughout the Bible, we are given the differences between the WICKED and the RIGHTEOUS.  We are shown the differences in their behavior, attitudes, and their ETERNAL DESTINATIONS.  In the book of Proverbs, the theme seems to be exactly this scenario.  The RIGHTEOUS attains LIFE, but the one who pursues EVIL will find DEATH.  Now, we ALL face DEATH, unless, Jesus returns before our time, but the DEATH spoken of here is a SPIRITUAL DEATH.   

 

The writer of Proverbs tells us that the Lord DETESTS those whose HEARTS are PERVERSE.  The word DETESTS means; to DISLIKE INTENSELY, HATE or ABHOR (Webster’s Dictionary).   The word PERVERSE means; WICKED or CROOKED, which may include lying, hypocrisy, wicked thoughts, pride, injustice, and dishonesty, etc.  These things are a part of the lifestyle of those who resists God’s ways, and they are the results of a PERVERTED HEART.   Their DESTINY will be PUNISHMENT and ETERNAL LIFE in HELL, the place of UNENDING torment, torture, heartache, pain and despair, with NO WAY of ESCAPE. 

 

The RIGHTEOUS are those who have TURNED AWAY FROM their SINS, and have TURNED TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART.  They have DENOUNCED their sinful lifestyle, and they work at PLEASING GOD, and LIVING by His Word.  And He DELIGHTS in them and their BLAMELESS WAYS.  While the WICKED’S destiny is HELL, the RIGHTEOUS will spend ALL ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL it’s GLORIES, they will enjoy EVERLASTING, PEACE, JOY, and TRUE ABIDING LOVE, the likes of which NO MORTAL PERSON has ever KNOWN. They are FREE from PUNISHMENT, and an ETERNITY in HELL.  So where are you?  Do you have a PERVERTED HEART or BLAMELESS WAYS?

 

If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God then you have a PERVERTED HEART, and are headed for an ETERNITY in HELL, with ALL it HORRORS.  You can change your DESTINATION, by TURNING AWAY FROM your SINS, and TURNING TO GOD, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God, then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION and be BLAMELESS in ALL your WAYS, and headed for an ETERNITY in HEAVEN, with ALL its GLORIES.  Do this NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
