“The Unseen Christ”

 

Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.      1 Peter 1:8, 9

“If you love Me, keep My commands.  And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever--- the Spirit of truth.  The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him.  But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.”    John 14:15-17

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.”       John 6:44

 

There is a saying, used by many, which is; “I’ll believe it, when I SEE it.”  It is the nature of human beings to have a need to be able to SEE what they are asked to BELIEVE in.  But for the TRUE BELIEVER in JESUS CHRIST, it is FAITH that causes us to LOVE and BELIEVE in Him without actually SEEING Him. 

 

And because of the work of the Holy Spirit, who draws us to Christ for the SALVATION of our souls, and then indwells us, we are ABLE to LOVE and KEEP His commands.  Even though the world REJECTS the Holy Spirit, mainly, because they cannot SEE Him nor do they have KNOWLEDGE of Him.  But the TRUE BELIEVER, KNOWS Him, because He indwells them.

 

As it is with the air we breathe, we can’t see it, only the effects of it.  It fills our lungs, and we breathe in and out, without it, we could NOT survive.  So it is with BELIEVING in the UNSEEN CHRIST, we CANNOT SEE Him, yet we CAN BELIEVE in Him, because we can SEE the effects of His SAVING POWER in a SINNER’S life, when they come to Him for the SALVATION of their SOULS.  As TRUE BELIEVERS, we can LOVE, BELIEVE and KEEP His commands without SEEING Him, because of the WORK of the HOLY SPIRIT, which we CANNOT SEE, but we KNOW that He indwells us, because He is the One, who draws us to the UNSEEN CHRIST, and then when we ACCEPT Jesus Christ as our SAVIOR and LORD, the Spirit comes and indwells us, and becomes our Advocate and is the essence of Jesus Christ living in us.  This brings INEXPRESSIBLE JOY to each TRUE BELIEVER, realizing the inheritance that awaits us in Heaven.  Are you being drawn by the Holy Spirit, to the UNSEEN CHRIST, for the SALVATION of your SOUL? 

 

This devotion, maybe a way the Spirit is drawing you.  If you have NOT given your HEART and LIFE to God, then you are headed for an ETERNITY in Hell, with NO WAY of ESCAPE.  When the Spirit starts drawing you to Jesus Christ, you will be CONVICTED of your sins.  In order to receive SALVATION of your SOUL, and an ETERNITY in Heaven, you MUST TURN AWAY FROM your sins, and TURN TO God, with a TRUE REPENTANT HEART, CONFESSING your sins to Him, and asking Him for His FORGIVENESS, BELIEVING, with ALL your HEART, that Jesus died for YOU, and is ALIVE in Heaven, making intercession for you, before God.  Then ACCEPT His gift of SALVATION, and RECEIVE your INHERITANCE with INEXPRESSIBLE JOY.   Do it NOW, while you still can.  He’s waiting and coming SOON!!!
